Her hair, despite being dyed and having to constantly be redone to keep the color bright is as soft as silk as she also takes pride in care of her hair. Rivaling her light colored skin, Angel has deep chocolate brown eyes that if one looks close enough have a hint of gold flecks.

For clothing she is always seen in something with style behind it, but she has no specific type she dresses as. Some days she can wear something preppy and the next she will be wearing a stylish outfit with ripped jeans and a leather jacket. Angel just expresses herself as she wants with just enough effort to always look put together, even in sweats. But she makes sure that she is always dressing for herself and no one else.

MAIN GOAL ⫻ She wants to become a singer and prove she is capable of doing stuff on her own.

Her mother a stay at home mom watching her older brother, a 3 year-old at the time Hyun-Ae was born, and her father a well known defense lawyer in Chicago. Her upbringing was harsh and cold, her father extremely demanding of Hyun-Ae and her brother. If they got anything less than an A or did anything remotely wrong they'd be punished harshly, whether it be to scrub the bathroom floor with a toothbrush or reorganize the family's library, their father wanted to teach them discipline from a young age. It was only thanks to their mother that either child got to take up an activity for enjoyment.

Hyun-Ae took up dancing and at first enjoyed it but, unfortunately, their father expected the same amount of precision and discipline in these activities that he did in the rest of their lives. Hoping to prove to her father that she was good, she practiced and trained harder than any of the other girls but with come each recital, her father never showed up. Disappointing the girl more and more each time. It was only three years later when Hyun-Ae was 12 that she quit ballet, making the excuse that she didn't want to be distracted from her studies.

Everyday and year that passed, her father only became harsher on his children. Only when her brother fell ill did he loosen his hold on them. But as her brother grew sicker and sicker, he cracked down on Hyun-Ae hard. Trying to distract himself from his sick child by shaping his other child into the mold that he wanted her to fit. It was not easy for her but she did her best to keep up with his demands as she cared greatly for her brother and didn't want her father to turn his strictness on him. Eventually it became hard to keep up with the impossible goals he set for her. It became so much that she couldn't even visit her own brother, her best friend, in the hospital, something she would come to resent her father for.

It was the middle of class when Hyun-Ae was 17 that she got the news after being called to the principals office. At first she thought it was a joke but then as she stared at the Principal's face she knew it was true, her brother was dead. Her brother whom she hadn't seen in almost a month thanks to her father. Hyun-Ae didn't cry, she just became angry. Taking her stuff and leaving as she began her walk home. When she got home no words were said between the family members, all going off to be alone. Crying periodically could be heard through the house from either Hyun-Ae or her mother followed by her father telling them to shut up. It stayed that way until they arrived home from the funeral. Then the fighting began, shouting passed between all three living family members. The fighting continued for days until it resulted in her mother leaving.

Fighting became a constant in the house for the few months until Hyun-Ae one day just stopped caring. For the next year and a half as Hyun-Ae finished High School, her father would yell at her but she wouldn't care and would just ignore him, brushing it off. Before she stopped caring, she would purposely go against her father's words and go out partying, doing what she could to piss him off. But when the flip in her mind switched the partying wasn't to piss him off. It was for herself, a way of trying to fill the gap her brother left. At the same time it let her be around people while keeping herself from getting attached, something she was scared to due now not only because she lost her brother but also because of her father.

She enjoys singing and playing instruments so much that she has started writing her own music, hoping to one day share it with the world.

[Mediocre-Good Dancer] ⫻ Having took ballet for a few years when she was younger she gained a liking for the art of dancing. Despite not taking it anymore, she continued to just dance in her free time using the internet as her teacher in different arts of dancing. She doesn't excel at it, but she enjoys it and it keeps her active and healthy.

The scream is only part of it though, Angel also will get this sinking gut feeling when she is near someone who is about to die or in the area someone is about to die. She can't pinpoint who it is, nor when it will happen. She just knows it will happen within a minute or two of the feeling developing.

IN THE PRESENCE OF THE MOUNTAIN ⫻ The mountain improves Angel's control over her destructive scream and increases her sensitivity to impending death. Other than improving pre-existing parts of her abstraction, she also begins to hear voices of those beyond life. The voices starting at a soft whisper and only proceeding to get louder the closer she gets to the mountain.

AURA SENSING ⫻ Due to her issues with her own emotions, she is able to see the aura's of people when they are dealing with severe negative emotions. Mainly surrounding emotions of sorrow and a bit of anger.

LIMITS ⫻ Angel is only able to use her scream for a short amount of time, before it tires her out and she needs a recharge period before she can use her scream again. She can only scream for about five seconds straight, anything longer would strain her, and make her recharge period longer. She also lacks a fine control over her scream, and the effects that it causes. Given how the flow of soundwaves work, she may cause unintentional harm and destruction.

WEAKNESSES ⫻ The scream causes damage to her vocal cords, and throat. After using her abstraction a lot, it causes her throat some intense pain, and makes it difficult to use it again. Possibly may cause her pain while speaking. She's also somewhat immune to her screams - somewhat being that she'll never go deaf from her abstraction, the intense vibrations may cause her nausea, and may weaken her bones.

@Surtr Inc Angel very much cared that her brother died. Just grief is different for everyone and referring back to the fact that her father prevented her from seeing her brother, '. It became so much she couldn't even visit her own brother in the hospital, something she would come to resent her father for.' That's where her anger stemmed from. Detachment wise I can see how you may not think it fits but I was going for a different take on detachment. She's detaching herself from everything she has known and is keeping herself detached from other people as she doesn't want to get hurt by them.

@Surtr Inc I totally get all those issues. I was a bit iffy about the backstory but I thought it would fit with her abstraction but I will rewrite it and also fix the fact that it doesn't show her connection to farmer hill. I thought I had that but I must of completely blanked out. Also I just forgot to fix the part where i said she was there her whole life.

Okay, I've made a character that I think is unique and I hope she works! Let me know if there is anything I can improve on or change!

APPEARANCE

"Father taught me to keep myself refined and to always dress to impress, but I'm not him."

Angel has smooth, soft lightly tanned porcelain skin. Her skin almost flawless minus a few freckles on her body, her having taken pride in care for her skin. Her hair, despite being dyed and having to constantly be redone to keep the color bright is as soft as silk as she also takes pride in care of her hair. Rivaling her light colored skin, Angel has deep chocolate brown eyes that if one looks close enough have a hint of gold flecks.

For clothing she is always seen in something with style behind it, but she has no specific type she dresses as. Some days she can wear something preppy and the next she will be wearing a stylish outfit with ripped jeans and a leather jacket. Angel just expresses herself as she wants with just enough effort to always look put together, even in sweats. But she makes sure that she is always dressing for herself and no one else.

PSYCHOLOGY

MAIN GOAL ⫻ She wants to become a singer and prove she is capable of doing stuff on her own.

PHILOSOPHY ⫻ She's got the belief of just doing what you want when you want. The don't let anything hold you back mentality. It developed from years of being taught to be disciplined mixed with her current rebellion against her father.

SECRETS ⫻ Angel keeps her family life a secret, pretending she has a perfect family at home so as not to be judged. Same with her money situation, people are fake when it comes to befriending people with money.

DESIRES ⫻ To have a meaningful connection with someone, despite her fear she wants to connect with someone whether it just be a friend or a lover. She wants to feel that connection once more.

SEXUALITY ⫻ Heterosexual

FEARS ⫻ She won't admit to it, but she fears becoming too close to people. Throughout her life she has learned that one only gains disappointment from those they thought cared and she doesn't want that to happen again.

REPUTATION ⫻ Angel is known as the new girl, just one of the many who moved to this town to attend the college. She hasn't had enough time to make much of a reputation for herself other than that.

PET PEEVES ⫻ People who chew with their mouth open, people who lack personal space, people who don't cover their mouth or nose and/or use their hand when they sneeze or cough, and people who lack in personal hygiene.

QUIRKS ⫻Angel snorts when she laughs, often causing her to cover her mouth while laughing, or biting her lip to hold back laughter. She also has very small handwriting and despite stereotypes, sucks at math.

BACKSTORY

"Let's keep this between you and me."

Hyun-Ae was the second born of the Jeong couple. Her mother a stay at home mom watching her older brother, a 3 year-old at the time Hyun-Ae was born, and her father a well known defense lawyer in Chicago. Her upbringing was harsh and cold, her father extremely demanding of Hyun-Ae and her brother. If they got anything less than an A or did anything remotely wrong they'd be punished harshly, whether it be to scrub the bathroom floor with a toothbrush or reorganize the family's library, their father wanted to teach them discipline from a young age. It was only thanks to their mother that either child got to take up an activity for enjoyment.

Hyun-Ae took up dancing and at first enjoyed it but, unfortunately, their father expected the same amount of precision and discipline in these activities that he did in the rest of their lives. Hoping to prove to her father that she was good, she practiced and trained harder than any of the other girls but with come each recital, her father never showed up. Disappointing the girl more and more each time. It was only three years later when Hyun-Ae was 12 that she quit ballet, making the excuse that she didn't want to be distracted from her studies.

Everyday and year that passed, her father only became harsher on his children. Only when her brother fell ill did he loosen his hold on them. But as her brother grew sicker and sicker, he cracked down on Hyun-Ae hard. Trying to distract himself from his sick child by shaping his other child into the mold that he wanted her to fit. She did her best to keep up with his demands but it became hard to do so when he set impossible goals and expected so much of her. It became so much she couldn't even visit her own brother in the hospital, something she would come to resent her father for.

It was the middle of class when Hyun-Ae was 17 that she got the news after being called to the principals office. At first she thought it was a joke but then as she stared at the Principal's face she knew it was true, her brother was dead. Her brother whom she hadn't seen in almost a month thanks to her father. Hyun-Ae didn't cry, she just became angry. Taking her stuff and leaving as she began her walk home. When she got home no words were said between the family members and it stayed that way until they arrived home from the funeral. Then the fighting began, words yelled between all three living family members. The fighting continued for days until it resulted in her mother leaving, never to look back again.

Fighting became a constant in the house for the next year and a half as Hyun-Ae finished High School. It was during this time she began to go against her father's words and go out partying. Doing what she could to piss him off. When she announced she was going to move to Farmer Hill to attend college, her father just about flipped a lid but there was nothing he could do about it. She was 18 almost 19 and he no longer had any say in her life. All he could do was cut her off from any source of money, which her mother happily stepped in to take care of much to his chagrin.

Arriving in Farmer Hill Hyun-Ae decided to go by the nickname her brother had given her when they were younger. Deciding to start her own life, one she could call fully her own and that her dad would hate. Hyun-Ae was now Angel and she was attending college to pursue music and singing. Something she had kept hidden her whole life from everyone but her brother.

SKILLS & TALENTS

[Musical Prodigy] ⫻ Angel has a natural talent with music and can pick up on how to play an instrument a lot quicker than others. Along with that, she has a natural talent with singing. Her voice often described as that of her namesake or a beautiful songbird. She enjoys singing and playing instruments so much that she has started writing her own music, hoping to one day share it with the world.

[Mediocre-Good Dancer] ⫻ Having took ballet for a few years when she was younger she gained a liking for the art of dancing. Despite not taking it anymore, she continued to just dance in her free time using the internet as her teacher in different arts of dancing. She doesn't excel at it, but she enjoys it and it keeps her active and healthy.

ABSTRACTION ⫻ Banshee. A sensitivity to impending death and a raw, loud, destructive scream.

ABSTRACTION DESCRIPTION ⫻ With focus Angel can produce a scream of a high frequency and pitch that can destroy things or move things in her path, or render someone deaf for some time most of the time she does this on accident though. The scream is only part of it though, Angel also will get this sinking gut feeling when she is near someone who is about to die or in the area someone is about to die. She can't pinpoint who it is, nor when it will happen. She just knows it will happen within a minute or two of the feeling developing.

IN THE PRESENCE OF THE MOUNTAIN ⫻ The mountain improves Angel's control over her destructive scream and increases her sensitivity to impending death. Other than improving pre-existing parts of her abstraction, she also begins to hear voices of those beyond life. The voices starting at a soft whisper and only proceeding to get louder the closer she gets to the mountain.

AURA SENSING ⫻ Due to her issues with her own emotions, she is able to see the aura's of people when they are dealing with severe negative emotions. Mainly surrounding emotions of sorrow and a bit of anger.
