Current I am Klomster, i have no status.

Bio

Known primarily as Klomster, both on the net and on real life.

I really enjoy roleplaying and do so every weak, preferably twice in two different campaigns. Sometimes even more.

From time to time i've done some forum roleplaying with mixed success. I've tried GM-ing with even more mixed success and all in all, i find forum rp's enjoyable. Hence why i joined, hoping to play some forum rp's and OWN at it. (Or something.)

I have an erratic thought pattern so my posts can appear as incoherent, if you notice you can just mention it if i should clarify anything.
Other than that, hey there fellas.

The constant echoes of Ha'mmer striking anvil sang out from the divine forge, rolled down the mountain of fire it sat upon and into the dead forest below.
Within the alabaster walls of the forge, he toiled with his next creation. A blade which sang the song of doom as it was swung. To strike fear into the hearts of its enemies.

Entering the main work room where Ha stood, was an angel. It waited patiently for a while so that the divine smith would notice it, but alas, he was transfixed by his work.
-"Divine one." The angel sang out, the beauty of its voice abrupted by the violent clang as Ha struck the blade wrong, it snapped into two with a wail and the loose part clattered across the floor.

Ha heaved with hatred and anger, his work ruined, he looked up to see one of the angels had disturbed him.
-"YOU DARE DISTURB ME!!!" Ha boomed out, the slits in his helm blazed up with flames as he threw the unfinished sword, blade first towards the angel. Barely missing, as the angel stood motionless the blade screamed in anguish as it flew past its right shoulder, moved its hair and embedded itself into a wall behind it.

The angel lifted a scroll, Ha took a few slow thundering steps to the holy messenger and stroke his gauntleted hand gently an inch from the left wing of the angel. He looked distant as he leaned his head in wonder.
-"There is a price to pay for insolence within the divine forge. Luckily for you, the others have forbidden me to destroy the angels of Olympus." Ha spoke, now much more gentle. He took the scroll and read it, he read it carefully and wandered around the glowing furnace.
-"Bah, Kilgarrah and his rules..." Ha lazily tossed the scroll into the furnace fire, it burned violently and disappeared.

-"I wonder what sort of intricate thing i could make... with the wings of an angel?" Ha pondered as walked up to and gazed upon the wings of the angel, then without warning he plunged his fist into the feathered plumage and ripped loose a few feathers.
-"Be thankful i am in a good mood!" The forge master boomed out with an irritated tone before carefully laying the feather upon a workbench.

In the meeting hall.
The iron throne suddenly blazed up, the flames illuminating the many swords and weapons and pieces of armour forge-welded into its design, the grilled hatch upon the back rest revealing a buildup of heat inside it. With a violent gust of fire the hatch flew open and a spasming gauntleted hand grasped the air, then fell with force upon the seat and grabbed hold.
Another fist emerged and from within, Ha pulled himself out from within the furnace, stood up and drew 'Ember' from the fire, held it in his right hand and pointed it towards Kilgarrah while smoke, soot and embers whirled around Ha's form.

-"This better be important, king of beasts. My latest creation was destroyed because of your summons!" The black clad warriors voice boomed in the hall. But with that he seemed to have let out most of his aggression and sat down in a way akin to falling into the throne, he held 'Ember' at the handle with its tip upon the floor. With his left hand Ha rested his head upon, his index finger and the next pointing upwards while the rest was more of a fist.
He looked annoyed but weary. He realized he had worked for too long lately.

The smith gazed upon those currently gathered. The shifting sands, the virulent, the dragon and the cat. And... judging by his appearance it could only be Nahargu'ul, davy jones.
He realized he had never actually seen him properly before, an inconceivable coincidence. More like a prank of a trickster than something that was realistic.
Ha immediately looked upon Del sombra, but also thought of Nahash. It was no use, they were gods whom Ha seldom had the will to bother speaking to. Even less figure out some divine prank. With a miniscule shake of the head he ignored it.
Nahargu'ul, he was smaller than Ha had initially imagined.
@HueMan Just a note on the opinion of Kilgarrah. Ha is the god of chivalry, while Kilgarrah is the god of honor and knights.
Chivalry in this sense referring to the laws of war, the rules of conflict.

Oh snap, it has started. Now i guess i should write something.

Added opinion of Erisbili and another secret.

No, no, he's an ugly barnacle.

@dragonmancer Is there any way you can give us a brief rundown of what all has mankind accomplished during the Silence, both self-beneficial and detrimental?

But he's beautiful on the inside. :D
<Snipped quote by Tangletail>

I did, but I decided it'd make him look like an ugly fairy in practice.

And here i thought he was sort of an ugly fairy.
I was wondering how I'm gonna depict Nahargu'ul's mobility in the gods' realm. I only ever picture him swimming, and the place isn't flooded so, I guess I'll just slap two human-esque legs on him and call it a day.
Gonna look kinda weird but oh well.

I just imagine the same movements as Ursula from the little mermaid... with the same singing as well.
Tentacles for the win! Silly legs are for normal gods.
2x OB D6?
@Klomster

Mmm... Cat fur gloves might not be that advantageous for a practical man. And they aren't really luxerious till you get to the big cats.

But I could see something in crafting things from Sphinxes and displacer beasts.

Because if you want to go by DnD rules, the higher quality an item is, the better the enchantments you can put on it. You couldn't put protection +4 on an iron ring, but you could on a masterwork gold or platinum ring.
Plus a goddess of secrets and occasional rare bits of information might have the benefits if you can pay her price.

After a payment is made, "Have you found anything interesting for my craft?"

"A rare iron from beyond the sun bounds it's way over forgotten lands and to the heart of our collaboration. A devil's laugh and fourty moons, before it crowns past dawned sky, and embed's it's self into the bosom of gaia. There it lies in wait, between right eye of one brother, and the left another. Fierce monsters, big and small, with malice on the tip of every man tongue, surrounds the glory in which you seek."

Translation, a meteorite containing a unique deposit of iron is going to touch down between three to four years. It's location is marked between two statues facing different directions in the world. But the cross sections of their gaze marks the location.

I myself is gonna go with a more Dominions 4 style of magical items. The game focuses heavily on religous historical sources.
Plus a heavy dose of rpg's and of course lovecraftian horrors.
So how i'll play it is that by using proper knowledge, and adding the right magical materials. That iron ring can have a ludicrously powerful enchantment.
The same way a golden master-crafted goblet with diamonds can be very weakly enchanted. The items quality will of course matter, but the materials going into it will be more important.

Also, if looking at religious artifacts. They are often made with very weird stuff, and are seldom hyper fancy.
Just take Draupnir. It's a golden ring, which drops 8 copies of itself every 9th night.
Or Mjölner (mjolnir) which is actually miscast as a one handed hammer.

While the Kusanagi, is made with.... it's actually found inside a monster.
You can read it yourself.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kusanagi

In dominions, the actual cost isn't representative of the materials, but the descriptions are.
Like the scales of a dragon, made into scale mail, will hold magical properties depending on what type of dragon it was.
A blue dragon gives ice protection, red dragon fire protection.
While the skin of a shambler (basically a fishman) can be made into an armour which gives you the ability to breathe underwater.

Or a sword forged during a thunderstorm and tempered with lightning. Or the axe of hate which gives it a monstrous hate and appetite for human flesh after it is ritually used for cutting down the tree it was made from.

True, this way several artifacts will make little sense in how they were made. But then again, several original religious examples make equally little or even less sense.
But i won't be crafting any silly +4 swords with gold and shit. It's way funnier to hammer spring winds into leather, sewing it with the sinew of the biggest moose in the forest and covering it with wax. To have a wine bag from which you can pour a potion which cures all ailments, and can be refilled with water to produce more magical potion every morning.

Or something similar. It might as well produce an endless supply of shitty mead instead, it's important to take into consideration what you put into the artifact. Something Ha has spent some time doing.
One could almost say he's sort of an expert in the field.

However, this doesn't mean Ha won't make overly blingy shit just to show off. He is the god of craftsmanship after all.
@Tangletail I really couldn't come up with a better opinion, bit of an idea drought :/
If i come up with a better one, i'll use that instead. But having "He doesn't care that much about him/her/it" too many times is boring.
And it's not like he would find the cat super interesting.

Unless one thinks a bit outside the box. After all, cat-fur is very good for making gloves. Keeps you nice and warm in the cold.
Also if made by a more exotic material, it might hold interesting properties.

Sphinx fur gloves? Or perhaps boxer briefs?
I wonder what magic they'd hold?...
There, i have updated my character sheet, tidied up some things. Added opinions of Del Sombra and Thu-mmmok. Added a tale and a secret about Nnmerra's first children.

And i'm considering making the entire sheet into a hider... i'm gonna do it.
I'll keep the image above it though. So the character sheets are easy to find and it takes less scrolling to get where you want.
I suggest doing the same. But of course it's optional.

Also. I'm back from the event. You guys surely have been posting stuff.

Also, minor pet peeve.
Well, seeing that i claim that i never leave roleplays, i won't be deleting this one from the sub list for a while.

But then again, this one isn't going anywhere.
Adieu fine people, may we play another time.
