Current I am Klomster, i have no status.

Bio

Known primarily as Klomster, both on the net and on real life.

I really enjoy roleplaying and do so every weak, preferably twice in two different campaigns. Sometimes even more.

From time to time i've done some forum roleplaying with mixed success. I've tried GM-ing with even more mixed success and all in all, i find forum rp's enjoyable. Hence why i joined, hoping to play some forum rp's and OWN at it. (Or something.)

I have an erratic thought pattern so my posts can appear as incoherent, if you notice you can just mention it if i should clarify anything.
Other than that, hey there fellas.

Just a question, it's not vital.

Is 25 bronze a head a lot, a little, or medium for buying prisoners of war free?

Edit: Also, me and Andrew is making progress on the collab.
Just so people don't get all worked up or something.
(I don't think anyone is, just informing anyway :P)
How i usually do it in situations like that @Jbcool is that i first write the initial question.

Edit: Then later i realize the question has been answered, i put in a blue "Edit:" and just keep it as it was.

That way, i don't have to delete things i've spent time writing. True, that time wasn't very long.... but still.
Yes, i'm lazy.
It's a hulk. Gellar fields are not standard issue.
As Urd will never have a particularly good head for military tactics, she won't discover the means we had in mind.

But just out of curiosity, @Klomster... If your opponent had cavalry, and you had mages capable of creating fire at a distance. Your opponent also has mages to protect its forces. How would you stop the cavalry charge?

Hmmm, well, i'd go for scaring the horses with fire walls. Or conjuring flames in front of them.
Sure, the enemy mages are going to work against you, but i think it's one of the best bets.

Oh, and @TheDuncanMorgan. The reason i brought it up was that i thought Ellri was thinking about it.
In my post about the battle of Telmarion i improvised that battlemages made gusts of wind, shot fireballs at incoming projectiles or made some sort of force screens.
Since no one claimed that wasn't correct i assume that is the case with the battlemages.

Dunno if a group of battlemages boosting a group of infantry is the end all be all winner way.
For one, it's not the way the armies deploy them, which should be one hint since at least someone would have thought about trying it. If it was the best option, everyone would use it.
The other thing is that great, now you have powerful infantry. However the battlemages are now preoccupied with enhancing the troops and won't be very good at defending against projectiles from enemy bows artillery or battlemages.

Of course, it depends on the situation. If the enemy force lacks ranged elements, i'd say go nuts!

I once more realised that the Steel fist also doesn't have any battlemages of their own.
No matter, just push through with sheer force, that should show those pesky battlemages!
(I am just bantering, again in the post, i describe how the battlemages save Claus's vanguard from being completely decimated by enemy spellfire with effective counterspells.)
forgeworld.co.uk/en-CA/Caestus-Assault.. remembering this beast, i was reminded of another option to a drill.

This assault vessel is equipped with a melta weapon, which melts the impact point before striking it, weakening it enough so the force of the ship gets through the armour plating of enemy vessels.

So i suggest some sort of melta drill.
The ripple of energy had halted his raving thoughts, the battle of a pathetic mech-wright and the exalted mind of a dread-magi.
Such an energy wave, it affected him like a caress of a lovers hand mixed with torture. Shudders moved across his mind as Zuriel awoke from his lost state.

Was it a warp disruption? A material energy wake?
He had not been paying attention, he knew not what it was or where it hailed from.... apart from it being deeper upon the hulk.
With a loud creak the magi straightened his neck and back, in the darkness nearby vile creatures wailed and fled in terror. The dark one had awoken, the mortal steel man was moving.
Some small black winged creature fluttered away, followed by some other deformed creature in the dark.

They feared him.
Zuriel began to fiddle with his fingers, twisting the glove on his right index finger. He began to move through the dead corridors of the once proud ship Justifiable. How they had suffered during the journey, how he had worked so hard to keep them from buckling. To no avail, his effort was pointless. A fruitless task with little purpose, how blind he was back then.

He walked through the vessel a short while, his clanging footsteps the only thing that made noise in the ghost vessel parts of the hulk. For none other dared, not even the dead.
The target had been acquired, a data-screen. Zuriel flicked the switch but it was black, expected.
With a steady trained hand he grabbed his dataport and extracted a cable that was fitted to his potentia coil. Sure he didn't have a lumen capacitor, but the screen might just work from the coil itself.
The screen flickered and spat, not designed for such torture and malice. Zuriel cared not as he forced it into life and began to reroute the access grants. The puny defensive systems of the mechanicum was now beneath him, he quickly got past them and accessed what was left of the sensors.
Inactive... of course. The power had never been reactivated.

He began to move further into the hulk, a door in his way was made short work of as he slammed his mechadendrite into it and simply ripped the damaged thing open enough so that he could pass with it and bracing himself upon his mechanical leg, the pure bionic parts having far more strength than something of his frame should possibly be able to have.

The heretical red priest disappeared into the darkness beyond, the only audible sound was the soft clanking of his footsteps.
@Wraithblade6 That is an excellent question.

I've thought about how the other characters will probably just want to totally gib mine the moment they see him :P

Dunno if this is the right place to ask, if not please tell.

One thing i've noticed is that the "Latest" button doesn't seem to work on the "in character" tab. However it seems to work on the others.
So is this some weird spooky creepypasta thing only happening to me, or is this a known issue?
A strike cruiser?

What reference site are you using?
Since in battlefleet gothic, and a lot of fluff and the rogue trader rpg rulebook say that while expensive, the warp drives can be fitted on reasonably small ships.

That being transport ships.
So roughly the size of an escort, so roughly 1 kilometer.

(Most in system transports though lack warp drives and gellar fields, which usually result in most of the vessels in 40k actually don't have warp drives.)

There are in fact scout sloops that are slightly smaller, which can also have a warp drive. But more advanced warp drives usually takes more space and thus is difficult and considered too expensive to put on smaller vessels.
But many 40k vessels being relics with odd things on board, resulting in surprising things from time to time. These odd one outs are usually ordered or gotten hold of by rogue traders.

But yeah @Wraithblade6, the simplest way to have -chip get to the scene, is that the planet it was launched from actually is in system.

Also, i think the confusion with the battle barge stems from a slightly unclear description in the initial description of the hulk. If read speedily, it can appear as the battle barge is not part of the hulk. Which it is.

I think the ship my character was on is sort of smeared across the left side of the hulk. Bent around like a piece of pasta on a shoe.
