Kat's first stop after storming away from Lee had been the toilets. The water had thankfully stopped raining down but the damage had been done. Dumping her bag in a sink she quickly set about freeing her hair and then drying it under the hand-dryer. The few others in the small room began to go to their classes leaving her alone; aware and uncaring of her tardiness. However after a short while she heard a sound that concerned her a little more, especially considering the alarm that sounded afterwards. Looking towards the door Kat then tried to open it, and then pushed a few more times after the failed attempt. Oh joy. She had a few options. Destroy the door - that would win her no friends - or just appear on the other side of the door - and potentially throw herself into a conflict she had very little interest in being a part of. Or she could remain in secure isolation. With a small shrug and smile she pulled out her phone, started playing some music and then pulled out her make-up and hair accessories. When the lock down was finally lifted she was fussing on the smaller details of her hair as she looked herself over in the mirror. What an unexpectedly useful time. Finally walking out through the now opened door she made her way to the gym to ensure that she hadn't missed anything important - to her atleast.
Ok, so is the school in lock down still? Trying to figure out a post and am a little confused by everything that has happened
Had a busy couple of days, looks like I have some catching up to do
"The only one whom should calm down is the one who pulled a gun as a response to seeing someone." Lee said politely slowly reaching to his back and removing his collapsed staff before dropping it onto the ground and kicking it away. "You did good Kat." Lee said with the grin forming back on his face. "You seemed to have followed the curiosity well. Most people would have given up the first five minutes in." he said reaching into his jacket and removing her book. "Now what happens next is I step forward and place this back in your hands." He said taking the step forward before doing exactly as he said returning the book to its owner. "Though the question of the matter is....you probably send me flying into a wall now don't you?" He asked the grin never leaving his face as he spoke.
Kat kept her eyes trained on him as he handed over the book; turning it over in her hands it then faded away. Hearing his question she gave a wry laugh. "I would hate to be so predictable." She purred playfully, wearing a smirk. Then in a split second her own staff was in her hand and she swung it low, sweeping his feet out from under him. As soon as he fell backwards the point was at his throat, the smirk was gone. "You patronising ass." Just as quickly it disappeared, and Kat with it as she began to walk to gym.
Have my other two characters been approved?
Sorry, must have missed that! I'm going to try and capitalize on this burst of motivation and then I'll look them over properly :) But wow, we have Kagerou, Kalinda, Kat, Katherin, Kijani and soon Kaden... That's a lot of Ks!
@t2wave That's the thing, there are so many varieties of magic within the comicverse, I try to keep it specific or else there would probably connections all over the place and that is hardly fair or feasible
Or at least Lee did until a floating ball of energy stopped right in front of him. Sure enough in close pursuit of the orb was none other than the proper owner of the book. Welp Lee just broke Thieving Rule No.1: NEVER. GET. CAUGHT. With a small smile Lee chuckled a bit raising his hands up in defeat. "Ok ok you got me." He said before reaching into his coat and removing Kat's book.
Flood had made his way out of the vents and burst out of the locker room with multiple wounds on him. "Adrenaline! Yeah!" He yelled as he ran around with an insane amount of energy. He saw a suspicious looking fellow with a hood and then a magical orb began followers my him. "Gotcha." Flood pulled out a gun and aimed it at Lee. He then saw the book. He recognized it as Kat's and he began formulating a plan. He noted his escape route, a nearby window, and looked at Lee. He mouthed the words, "Toss me the book."
It didn't take too long for Lee to be found as the orb sped faster the nearer they got. She arrived at the same time as Flood, watching as he drew his gun and Lee reached for the book. "Stop!" She shouted to the both of them, holding up her hands as if to freeze them in place. "You," she said, pointing at Flood, "put the gun away, I don't look innocent when you're waving that around. And you," now pointing to Lee, "I have reason not to trust you. I step forward to take back the book and then what?" Because the trap someone like that sounds very much like something she would do, unfortunately for him. She may not be a thief, generally, but she knew how to play dirty.
@Klyix What is Kat using to track her book. The strongest concentration of magic?
Kinda, I guess my rational is things like radiation can be detected, so why not magical energy. Like magic calls to like magic. I could probably explain this better, sorry! It ties into the idea that if magic users know another individuals magic well they could trace it.. But I am sort of making this up as I go along, feel free to call BS at any point
There was no sign of him about the grounds and no indication from Nicholas at having found anything. Ok, time for a little magic then. First she rid herself of all those small things she wore so often: taking off her necklace, her rings, the knife hidden in her boots, each faded into nothing. Next with a gentle wave of her hands a small smoking orb of magical energy appeared; it almost seemed alive as it moved about, circling her once before hovering in the air before her. "Go on then, show me the way." She whispered, to herself more than anyone. At this point she had to hope that book was so saturated with her magic that it was a stronger call than any other residue about the building as it lead her around and to the nearest entrance to the building.
"And where is the person right now?I am guessing inside of the vent because Flood went inside of the vent to i guess find this person..." Nicholas said in his emotionless voice walking behind her into the classroom,"Do you need help with finding this person?" He asked walking behind her still wet form the sprinklers.
As Kat and Nicholas entered the classroom they would find it was a history classroom pertaining to the recorded past of the heroes and villains of the past. However right now the room was vacant and didn't pertain any real signs of someone being inside resent. Save for the slightly open closet door and several of the open windows. Not to mention the classroom also connected to the ones next to it on both sides via a door which was unlocked.
"I don't know, hence the searching." She replied, quickly looking about the room. Too many possibilities. She sighed and turned to Nicholas. "If you want to help, search the room, especially any doors he could have gone though. And if you find anything, shout." She said before running to one of the open windows and jumping out. She landed on her toes and straightened up. Where-oh-where could he be?
