When Finnigan began yelling at Shade and her she quickly turned her head to look at them. As the situation developed a cold composure came over her as she shifted her body to face him head on, her eyes trained on him at all times. She didn't flinch as the gun was pointed in their direction, or when Fury unsuccessfully tried to tackle him. "Then shoot, lover boy." It wasn't a challenge, or a plea, just simply said words. And so there she stood, unmoving, as she watched and waited.
Far away from the chaos of the city and the destruction of the school Kat sat in her kitchen. Her attention seemed to switch between the laptop and old tome set before her, a clashing of two worlds. It was a common theme throughout the house. Light, bright and modern by all accounts but when one looked closer they'd see the fur throw did not seem to come from any animal of this earth, and that gem sitting on the side looked like it had a galaxy trapped within. And in a sense it expanded to her too, she of the eternal realm, sipping coffee in a velvet robe.

And she sat alone, though she hadn't expected it any other way. She was a stranger to them, intimidating, warmth had never been natural to her. So she continued on quietly, utilizing the silence while it lasted, a cat curled about by her feet and a dog stretching out on the sofa not too far away.
She didn't wear her anger like Victor but she made no move to stop him as he turned on Fury. However when he paused to look back to her Kats gaze hardened. Now was not the time for sentiment and reforging the fallen family. That thought was quickly interrupted by Shade's shouting. She rounded on him, glaring with venomous eyes. "Do not ask questions you have no possible way of knowing the answer to. Perhaps you should be asking how many invasions this realm has been protected from on account of us." They had forgotten how weak they were, thought they were running when they were only beginning to blindly stumble out of the mist.
@Mistress Dizzy Whenever I get ear aches I'll put something like a hot water bottle against my ear and that usually helps relieve the pain, I actually tend to use it as a pillow and try and get a nap so that might be an idea

As for relaxing try indulging yourself in something you love, maybe a really nice long shower, or a big cup of your fave hot drink.. http://www.ferryhalim.com/orisinal/ has some really sweet little games that can be quite relaxing. Oh, and making a list of goals you want to achieve in the next week, they can be really minor things but there's something about ticking off a job that gives you a nice sense of control over things
@t2wave I'm pretty sure I've never said anything about how I envisioned Kat's house but you managed to get it pretty spot on, so well done :P

I'll try and post soon but revision and exams galore, I feel your pain @Caits
Kat watched as Captain America was dragged from the room and then released a breath, finally relaxing a little in her posture. "That was unexpected." She said, cleaning off her knife on one of the men lying about. She was mostly unhurt and any injuries that were inflicted would already be healing, the perks of divinity. She looked at the shield, still in Shades hands. Her time on Earth may have been brief but she knew who the man was, and how much of a deviation from his character this was. "Were you truly not better prepared for such an event? No warnings in place?" She asked, looking to Fury. Obviously there was a threat, or else they would not all be here now, so why was such an attack able to walk right up to them.
I'll post in a bit, crashed after my exam but feeling more awake now.. and angry after the latest game of thrones episode, which may be a good place to write from given my character, we'll see
@t2wave

"Well, unless you want to put a group of vulnerable and traumatized beings of immense power on a plane your best option will once again be with me. I used to jump between here and there twice a day, it's an easy journey." Kat explained calmly. She looked over to the medical tent briefly before looking back. "I'm aware this isn't exactly expected behaviour but don't worry about the offer being retracted. If you need an hour, a day, you will still be welcomed. I may not share Thor's devotion to this realm but I will find no joy in innocent deaths I could have prevented."
@SugarRush There hasn't been any indication that we're not, so I can't imagine there's a problem :)

@Erklings25 The way Teo phrased it seems more like the result would depend on your response, whether or not you had Cap fight back or not
