No offense intended. But there's a sweet spot on the sliding scale of realism, and most of the interest checks I usually see skew too far to the realism end for me.

Can't describe how quickly I go from excited to sad when a mecha premise turns out to be realism wankery.

@PrincessWeirdo. Accepted. I suspect she should be barging into Yui's office any time now...@Krayzikk. Accepted, and certainly an interesting character. Welcome to the Academy! Although the first image isn't showing.

Yeah, I noticed the image was broken. Link's fine, so I suspect I made a code error in there. It probably doesn't like the multiple formatting codes. XD

Thank you. I'll try to have an initial post up shortly.
This took far too long. I meant to have this done yesterday, but the site kept glitching and I had less time than anticipated. But, it's here now. XD

EDIT: Can't get the image to work, so here's the link.

Fury Form:

Name: Abraham Martin
Age: 19
Species: Human
Title: N/A (Student)
History: Abraham led a relatively normal childhood, born to a fairly normal family. By all appearances, at least. The Martins were a family with a long tradition of creating Dawn Slayers, and little did he know, Abraham would eventually continue it. He grew up an avid reader, spending copious amounts of time with his nose buried in a book; Inside or outside, he was probably reading. He was far from inactive, however. He discovered he had a fondness for swordplay when he was young, and honed his skills with his grandfather who, unbeknownst to him, had been the family’s most recent Dawn Slayer. Exploring his grandfather’s house one day, he found a section of the basement he’d never seen before; It housed weapons and artifacts of all kinds, and hanging proudly on the wall, he saw it. A long, straight-edged sword with an intricate hilt, its sheath startling white in color, with etched silver markings. It called to him, it had seemed, and he could not resist reaching out to touch it.

The instant he did, he had felt the other presence. It spoke to him, and after a brief exchange, it made its offer; Its use, its power, in exchange for the promise to live his life in defense of others. If ever he wavered in that vow, it would revoke its aid. The sword, for it indeed was the speaker, did not give a proper name; When pressed, it identified itself solely as “Fury”. Abraham’s grandfather found him down in that section of the basement, staring at the sword.

After he got over his initial surprise, his grandfather explained; The sword used to be his, as it had been his father’s, and so on back through the family’s Slayers. Now that Abraham had found it, it would be his. Though his grandfather trained him as well as he could himself, it was not something he could complete; Thus, he was sent to attend Hikari Ryodan Academy.
Personality: Abraham, for the most part, is quite friendly. He holds conversations easily, and he’s fond of meeting new people. Perhaps it is surprising to most, then, that he spends so much of his time reading. If he isn’t in class or his room, the library is the most likely place to discover him.

That said, there are a few things that he will never tolerate. Abuse of power, arrogance, such things are not well-received, and he is prepared to act unfalteringly in the defense of others in the event that it is necessary.
Notable Skills or Abilities:
-Fury: The sword he wields, Fury, has caused permanent changes to his own body by way of unknown influences. He is quicker and stronger than he used to be, his already swift reflexes now fast enough to let him keep up with the fastest duelist. The sword’s influences, however, are only passive in this state.

-Fury Form: An ability not yet achieved by Abraham, Fury Form taps into more of the blade’s powers than in any prior state. It can only be triggered in situations when he is determined to defend, even at his own risk, and even then only by agreement from Fury. In this form, his arms are clad in light armor, and the rest of his body is garbed differently from the norm. His physical abilities are drastically heightened, and the blade glows faintly with an inner light. Use of this form, however, leaves him exhausted when it ends.

-Duelist: On a far more mundane level, Abraham is a skilled swordsman. His reflexes are swift, and his strikes just as quick. Few his own age are his equal.
Meant to have my CS done today, but that fell through. Should be done tomorrow.
Fantastic. Well, I think I'll get a character put together. Probably not tonight, though. It's getting late. XD
Is this still accepting? I quite like the concept, and I think this would be fun.
Hello all!

This is the interest check for a new Soul Eater game, staffed by myself and Kaithas. The full extent of the game's premise can be found here, in the OOC thread. We're not currently limiting how many people can apply.

If you'd like to play, it would be fantastic if you could place your CSs here for acceptance, and then once that'd done, move on over to the OOC section for the actual game's discussion.

Hope to play with you all soon, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask here or PM myself or Kaithas.
When the suits had been delivered, the Astray Project was stored separately from the G-Project. There were any number of reasons for it; Keep the two distinct, not enough space, or to keep an enemy from being able to target them all at once. The latter was what came into play now, regardless of whether or not it was the original cause. The world was full of the sounds of gunfire and shouts, the sights of the dead and the dying, and all the while the ZAFT forces continued onward toward their objectives. In the middle of all of this, one man had gone quite unnoticed.

Alexander Cross.

The Orb-allied Coordinator crept stealthily through the halls, laptop tucked under one arm. Stan had left it behind when he went to check on the suits, and while Alexander couldn't be sure of what happened to the man he certainly wasn't going to leave the computer to ZAFT. Not with what might be on it. He stepped over a slain soldier, gritting his teeth to prevent from paying him too much mind. He spared only a glance long enough to confirm that the man's gun had already been taken, which meant that he continued to be unarmed. That wasn't as much an issue for him as some; Being a Coordinator, he was capable enough physically. Things got dicey, however, when the enemy's Coordinator status was taken into effect. It had only required a momentary glimpse of them in action for him to know that. He'd have to take his chances.

His footsteps slowed as he approached the end of the hall, near where the Astrays had been stored. He'd hurried there the instant the attack began, seeking to protect his work, but he'd only heard that the enemy was approaching moments ago, over a fallen soldier's comm. That didn't leave much time-

Actually, it left none. As he rounded the corner he came face to face with a single soldier, clearly identified as the enemy, and was only just quick enough to twist away from the shot before it tore through his skull. A vicious kick to the back of his knee caused the foe to buckle, and allowed him to hit the weapon out of his hand. The foe was quick, but Alexander was quicker, pinning him to the ground in a single motion, hand over his mouth.

The soldier's eyes widened, and then narrowed with hatred. Even with his mouth covered, he could faintly be heard to hiss "Traitor!"

"I'm not traitor to you." He replied softly, eyes narrowing. "You've endangered my work. More importantly, you've killed some friends of mine."

The engineer set the laptop aside, never taking his hand away from his enemy's mouth. The soldier was pinned, Alexander's knee pressing against his torso to prevent him from escaping. Now with a second free hand, he wrapped it around the ZAFT soldier's throat, squeezing hard. He ignored the strangled noises emanating from under his hand, as well as the desperate struggles, waiting instead for the soldier to go still. "You'll all pay for that."

Scooping the laptop back up, he darted across the space towards the Astray units, hoping to reach them before the rest of the invaders arrived. Not that he really expected to be that lucky.
Alright, I've read the posts I missed. Now, to make sure I understand; There's already fighting in the hangar containing the G-Project machines, communications have been jammed, and GINNs are moving in. Tyber and more troops are headed for where the Astrays are being stored, which is across the base.

I have that right?
Apologies for my absence, ladies and gentlemen. The past week and a half was positively hellish with exams, and I didn't have much spare time, let alone the energy to post. I don't think I'll be able to post tonight (It's getting late where I live), but I'll see about getting caught up and posting tomorrow afternoon at the latest.

Your thoughts on Aristo?

I'm of the opinion that someone should shoot him a PM, letting him know that if he doesn't respond, or post, within a given time frame, he be considered to have dropped the game.

He went through the trouble of making a CS, so I'd rather not drop him without a last chance. Life can get hectic.
