No offense intended. But there's a sweet spot on the sliding scale of realism, and most of the interest checks I usually see skew too far to the realism end for me.

Can't describe how quickly I go from excited to sad when a mecha premise turns out to be realism wankery.

Abraham, arriving at the museum

Directional travel is a fascinating thing. No matter how many times he experienced it, Abraham still never got over the thrill of literally traveling between dimensions. When one thinks about it, it's the ultimate thrill; It requires you to literally breach the wall between dimensions, and travel through that breach into a completely different world, one that might be radically different from your own. He supposed that was why he chose his job; Working for a multiversal delivery service meant that he got to travel between worlds all the time.

This time, however, the job was a bit different. He didn't really know where he was going, though the client had offered up a series of coordinates as a suggested starting place. Additionally, he wasn't using his usual transportation. In its place was a sleek gunmetal gray motorcycle outfitted to travel between dimensions. But for all that was different, when he gunned the engine and raced towards the approaching gray square that would take him to his destination, he felt that same rush of excitement. He rode through the threshold at several dozen miles per hour, grinning as it spat him out-

Into clear, fresh air. The motorcycle's wheels touched down on pavement, and he slowed to a stop, taking in his surroundings as his coat tails began to settle once more. He was on a hill, and on a less used road, by the look of it. There was no traffic in sight, in fact, there wasn't a soul in sight from his perch. Looking to the horizon, he seemed to be on an island... A more populated region looked to be a kilometer or so to his north, a large building the center of a clarge cluster of slightly smaller ones. The town looked very much like a resort town, but that building seemed off... Frowning, he pulled his phone from his pocket, entering his coordinates into his company's database. Maybe he could find out where he was. Almost instantly, a hit came up, and Abraham's eyes widened slightly.

Why was I told to start looking here?

After a moment's silence, he put it away again, laning forward and beginning to drive towards the populated area, accelerating as he went. He wasn't going to get any answers by standing around.

****************

Reaching the parking lot of what the entrance sign informed him was a museum, he pulled into a parking space, switching off the motorcycle and withdrawing the key from the ignition. He dismounted in a single, smooth motion, tightening his coat around him. Truthfully, it was a bit too warm for it, but he was loathe to take it off. He might lose it if he did that. Flipping down the kickstand, he reached around to the back of the machine, picking up the silver briefcase from where it was secured, before turning his attention to the building.

It was an imposing sight. At least, it was for he and others aware of the multiverse. It was a collection of artifacts from the war that everyone knew, the one conflict that was ubiquitous in all the worlds one might visit. The people here thought it was a gimmick... But others knew better. Taking a deep breath, he began walking towards the lobby.

But even from a distance, he could tell that something wasn't quite right... The view of the lobby seemed far too red-tinted to be accurate.

Perhaps it was an aesthetic choice.

That made sense.

His rationalization continued as he pushed open the door, briefcase held tightly in his right hand.
Much appreciated, thank you.

I'll probably toss Abraham in near the library entrance, see where things go from there. That seems to be the general area where a lot of people either are or are headed towards, so it seems to be the best option.

Plus, glowing red accent lines! What could possibly go wrong? XD

Hm... Interesting note. I actually pondered for a bit to see if any other Multiversal Enforcement Agencies would get involved in JLM outside of Zyguard. As far as I know, though, Zyguard is the only MEA featured, and their standardized armament are the Mass-Produced Sengoku Drivers. I like the Driver's powers to emulate other Rider powers, but if I'm reading it correctly, wouldn't assimilating the powers just lead to taking powers away? If so, that's on the banned powers list. Everything in the profile seems interesting, though I need some clarification.EDIT: Someone clarified for me, so you're good. .

Ah, well, to whoever clarified, thank you very much.

Yes, it doesn't depower; rather it can borrow a power willingly lent.

On the first note; Yeah, I didn't know if there were any other agencies. But, I figured if there were, the MEI would probably be trying to sell to them.
Alrighty then, I've decided to pop on in here. Already posted a sheet and was accepted, read through all the pages, et cetera, so I think I more or less know what's going on.

That said, if anyone could give even a brief rundown of who is where (Location has been much harder to catch up on than events), it'd be greatly appreciated. I'd rather not mess up in my opening post, that's a bit too early. XD
Sorry about the delay on my end; My Ashikabi's profile is just about done, I'll paste it here soon. Logic was still working on their profile when last we spoke.
Name: Abraham Williams
Age: 20
Gender Male:
Appearance: (Will be updated with a picture if I can find one, but for now, text description only.) Abraham is of roughly average height, maybe a bit taller, with carefully maintained black hair and dark green eyes behind slim, rectangular glasses. His body is of fairly average build, fit but far from athletic, and he most often wears simply jeans and a dark t shirt. When out and about, this is often augmented by his favorite gray long coat.
Power: (Not yet obtained, will be obtained in-game.) Abraham possesses the Alter Driver. The Alter Driver was designed by Multiversal Advancement Industries, based upon data and analysis of other drivers from across the Multiverse. It was intended to become a more standardized armament for multiversal enforcement agencies, rather than the eclectic collection of devices and artfacts usually used. It is a belt-mounted device, relatively slim and metallic silver in color. A collection of slots and holes of varying sizes line the belt, while the driver mounting point is a horizontal railed track, usually lacking the driver itself. The driver is a nondescript black rectangle, a touchscreen controlled device used to prime the transformation sequence. When activated, the track flips to a vertical position to accept the driver, before locking down into a horizontal position. While anyone that fits the physical requirements can use the driver before activation, once activated, the driver is locked to its user until such a time as they willingly unlock it.

-Kamen Rider Alter: Once transformed, Abraham's suit is a combination of silver and gunmetal gray. The Alter Driver bears a styled "x" on its screen, a style complemented by the red v-fin on his forehead. Black bands are present on either wrist, as well as his ankles. In this form, his suit is quite generic for a Kamen Rider, though Abraham often wears his coat over the suit for purely aesthetic purposes. In this form, the suit has a handful of capabilities;
-Alter Knuckles: The suit deploys a set of knuckledusters to either fist.
-Rider Kick: A simple, uncomplicated finishing move triggered from the Driver.

However, the Alter Driver's greatest function cannot be activated on its own. Designed to be used with the aid of others, the purpose of the various input locations on the belt is simple; Any item based ability, though it was engineered for use with other Rider devices, can be scanned, analyzed, and temporarily assimilated by the suit. When assimilated, the Alter Driver creates a new form that incorporates the abilities of the device.

Said assimilated forms can, potentially, be activated without the aid of the device once it is created, it will be a fraction of its real power. Any devices used in conjunction with this ability must be lent willingly.

Along with the Alter Driver is a motorcycle equipped with the same technology that powers the MPS, allowing it to be used for world-to-world jumps.
Faction: Currently unaligned
World of Origin: Alternate Earth, a world that has been aware of the wider multiverse for quite a long time.
Personality: Abraham is quite cheerful, and very friendly as well. When on the job he tries his best to maintain a calm, collected facade, but truthfully, the sight of any device he's never seen before will elicit a torrent of curious questions the likes of which the world has never seen. Though fiercely loyal to the friends he makes, it's never really been an issue. War and combat are relics of the past, right?
Backstory: Born on an alternate Earth, Abraham's world has been aware of the multiverse for as long as he's been alive. Though in the past it may have been a spectacular notion, now it's merely a fact of life. In fact some, like Abraham, have even turned to it for profit. He works for a multversal delivery service, tasked with carrying packages to and fro across universal boundaries as ordered. His life, prior to now, has been fairly normal, a new order from Multiversal Advancement Industries is rapidly changing all of that. The order, while simple, was exceedingly unusual; He was given a metal briefcase, and a motorcycle, and was told that he'd know where they were needed. He was also instructed that he should not open the case, unless he, or someone else, was in imminent danger.

He chose to travel to the coordinates that the businessman suggested her start looking; Museum Island, on an alternate Earth.

Now, after sifting through all three relevant sets of posts (And boy, did that take a while. =P), I couldn't find any indication that this has yet ceased accepting applicants.

Am I correct? If so, I'll have a CS up shortly.
Yes, I'm interested. I'll see about working on a CS.
We're ten pages and two weeks in,

And I still can't decide if Arara a great human being or a truly awful and arrogant one.

She seems to veer between both extremes so often.
Sounds like it might be interesting. What were you thinking for general plot and tech levels?
