Zircon awoke for the first time in ages. The last time he was awake Zircon was being taught how to be a gem by the Homeworld gems. He learned how to talk and summon his weapon but that was about it, Zircon had no special abilities that he was aware of. Because of this, the Homeworlders thought him to be flawed and put him down. He retreated into his gem and thought of what form he wanted but he could never decide. Now hearing screams of rage from the outside, Zircon knew what he wanted to be. He chose the form of a teenager with combed back blue hair and a blue outfit to match, making sure this form was young and nimble, which could easily out-maneuver and destroy whatever creature was making that hideous noise.
Zircon summoned his weapon and chased the sound. When he reached the beast, he realized that he was not the only one chasing it, but he knew the lay of the land better. Zircon took a detour and followed the estimated path of the beast. Just as he expected, the lizard creature broke through the wall underneath Zircon. The creature turned and expanded his frills, 'Wait, gems? Yes, there are definitely gems on that thing.', and he shot a gooey tar at the group of three. 'There's my opening.' Just as the gem-beast finished his assault, Zircon jumped down from above and struck down with his glaive. The attack was enough to cause to creature to real back in surprise and cause him injuries, but not enough to kill it.
Zircon planted his feet on the thing's head and kicked off. Landing a bit behind the group of gems, Zircon spoke to the them, "I will help you defeat this, this, whatever it is. But try something stupid and I'll let your body lie beside it's." He turned to face the creature, preparing for any strike this thing decided to make.
