Huan Fen
Phoenix Wing Guild Hall

"Two months..." Fen murmured to herself as she stared at the request board from where she was sitting. It had been two whole months since she'd joined the guild and, while she'd managed to overcome the awkwardness of meeting new people, allowing her more outgoing personality to shine through, she still felt a bit like an outsider. She'd only gone on a few minor jobs on her own and hadn't had much of an opportunity to really bond with any of her guildmates. The problem, it seemed, was unfortunate timing. Shortly after joining the guild, Fen had learned that they would be participating in something called the Grand Magic Games. A foreigner to Fiore, she had never heard of the games before, but they certainly sounded like a big deal. It also explained why everyone had been so preoccupied for the last two months and didn't have much time to spend on a newbie.

Fen leaned back in her chair, tilting back onto the back two legs and staring up at the roof as she chewed on her bottom lip. "Mmmm... Maybe I should try joining a team." She said aloud to herself. She wondered who in the guild would be a good fit for her and was quickly carried away by fantasies of joining a powerful team and becoming famous all around the continent. "EVERYONE!" Fen was brought out of her thoughts and back to reality by the Guildmaster's shout and she tilted her head back farther to look at him, balanced precariously on only two chair legs. "Hmm? What's this?" She asked of no one in particular, as she looked at the the Master from her upside down view. *CRASH* It was inevitable that the chair would overbalance and bring Fen crashing to the floor, on her back. She quickly leapt to her feet and returned the chair to its upright position, standing next to it with her hands clasped in front of her lap and an attentive expression on her face as she waited for the Master to speak. She'd just pretend that mishap with the chair didn't happen.
@Expolar Happy to be back.

Hmmm... What do you think the over/under is on this being one of the longest running RPs in RPG history, huh?
Ahhh, yes... feedback... right in my veins...
Any thoughts on my intro post. Feedback is my drug and I need a fix.
Whew! Got that intro post up. Talk about making a splash, huh? I hope Fen doesn't ruffle any feathers with such a dramatic entrance.

Magnolia

"Hmmmm... Mmmmmm... Ghmmm..." Lots of frustrated noises came from the girl as she stared down at the list of directions the man at the Magnolia train station had written up for her. Fen was walking through the crowded market street, studying to paper with a rapidly deepening frown. "I asked for directions and he wrote them down for me," She mumbled to herself. "But I didn't think he'd write them in some strange language. I don't even recognise the letters..." She tilted her head to one side as she struggled to decipher the meaningless scribbles and held the paper out at arm's length with both hands, turning to this way and that. Finally, after an embarrassingly long time, her face cleared and she let out a quick exclamation. "Oh!" She turned the sheet of paper around 180 degrees and suddenly the words made sense.

Her face burning slightly from the fact that she'd just spent the last half an hour trying to read a page upside down, Fen quickly ran through the directions and followed them to the large building she'd been looking for. Phoenix Wing. The moment she'd heard of the Wizard's Guild by that name, it had captured her attention. Being a full fledged Wizard meant joining a Wizard's Guild and, with a name like Phoenix Wing, she couldn't have asked for a better fit. It was like fate. And so Fen had made up her mind to go to Magnolia and had jumped aboard the very next train out of Hargeon Town, and then had to change trains when she realized she'd gotten on the wrong one.

Now she was here. Fen pushed the doors to the guild hall open and stepped inside, looking around with wide eyes at everything and everyone around her. She stood dumbfounded for a moment before gathering her wits and taking a more calculated look around. Her eyes came to rest on a bar and, lacking any other major landmark to navigate this new environment by, she made her way over to it. As she reached the bar she took a deep breath, girding herself to make a strong and confident first impression. "U-umm..." she mewled out in a shaky voice. "I-is the Master in? I'm...I'm a Wizard and, if... that is if he doesn't mind, I'd like to join." Talk about confidence...
@Caits Phoenix Wing is in Magnolia isn't it?
@Zarkun
Its been a while since the Ive read the magic games They went on like five days I think.

Five days plus a preliminary round to narrow down the list of competing teams and a rest day between day 4 and day 5. So 7 days in total, basically a week of magic games.
@Caits Ahhhh kk misunderstandings cleared.
