Rebecca has always been a friendly if somewhat quiet person, rarely raising her voice. Despite her soft spoken demeanor, however she has strong beliefs about the value of literature and takes any disrespect towards books very badly. It is these moments that she does raise her voice and has been known to go off lengthy tirades at times.

Biography
Rebecca was born into a family of male athletes. He father was a track and field star and her three brothers shared his passion for sports, which left Rebecca as the odd duck of the family. She was the only girl and didn't feel much of any pull towards athletics. She didn't have any interest in sports, so her father didn't have any time for her. Fortunately Rebecca still had her mother. Rebecca's mother was an aspiring writer, and while she'd never managed to get anything published, she had an undying love of the written word and the fantastical worlds that could be created with them. She passed this love onto Rebecca and they would spend many nights reading together. When Rebecca's mother passed away from illness, Rebecca considered her love of books to be her mother's greatest gift to her.

So how does my character look. If there's anything wrong I can fix it up in a jiffy.
Guh... I was so focused on making sure I got everything else right that I forgot to tag the GMs. Welp it's fixed now.

I find this interesting but it seems to me that with such a long gap since the last IC post, it might be easier to simply start again from scratch with a fresh thread. I would be happy to be involved in any way.
Katawa Shoujo Character(s)

Name: Nozomi and Hakuya Kochizuki
Age: 16
Grade: 2nd
Disability: Nozomi suffers from permanent blindness caused by a head injury.
Personality:
Nozomi: As a beaten child, Nozomi is extremely timid and quiet. She is usually shy amongst strangers and takes a great deal of time and encouragement to warm up to others. She doesn't trust easily. Possibly the only person in the world that she is truly open with is her brother.

Hakuya: Hakuya is a hard young man, forced to grow up quickly, he's mature beyond his years but bitter and resentful towards a world that he sees as cruel and unfair. The one bright spot in Hakuya's life is his sister, and she never fails to bring out his gentler side. He is fiercely protective of her, even more so since she lost her sight.

Background:
The Kochizuki twins grew up in a broken house. Their mother died when they were still very young and their father began to drink and gamble. He wasn't a good gambler and would usually come home drunk and angry, and would take out his frustrations on them. Hakuya, in the process of shielding his younger twin sister, got the worst of the beatings and abuse, but Nozomi was never entirely spared.

During one of their father's episodes he took the abuse a little too far and left Hakuya barely alive. During the beating Nozomi, in a rare show of courage and a testament to the bond the twins shared, attempted to shield her brother. For her trouble she received a brutal blow to the head from a bottle. The row the event caused resulted in the police being called and the twins were quickly removed from their father's care.

Hakuya recovered from his wounds but the blow Nozomi received to the head had left her permanently blinded. For months child services didn't know what to do with the two of them, Hakuya refused to allow them to be separated, and few foster homes were willing to take on the responsibility of caring for a blind girl. Finally things were resolved when child services arranged for Nozomi to be admitted into Yamaku and, as the academy had no problem taking on healthy students as well, Hakuya got his wish of not being separated from his sister.

Other Info: Having depended on each other for emotional support for almost their entire lives, Hakuya and Nozomi have extreme mutual codependency issues and an impressive case of separation anxiety. One simply cannot function without the other. Nozomi shuts down completely without her brother, while Hakuya becomes upset to the point of violence and only calms down when his sister is around.
I imagine robots conversing in binary is almost incomprehensible to organics.
Nadia gave a nod in response to her owner's praise, her "eyes" taking on a cheerful shape. "My patient mortality rate is seventy eight point five nine percent." She said, a note of pride in her voice. A strange thing to be proud of. The arrival of another robot distracted Nadia from the conversation and she left Winston's side to approach him as he communicated in binary. "01010111 01100101 01101100 01100011 01101111 01101101 01100101 00101100 00100000 01100110 01100101 01101100 01101100 01101111 01110111 00100000 01110011 01111001 01101110 01110100 01101000 01100101 01110100 01101001 01100011" She responded cheerfully, although to organic ears she probably sounded like an old dial up modem.
Toaster should be finishing off a collab post between he and I. We figured since we're both on the ship, what the hell, right?
