With the recent release of Zombieland: Double Tap, I decided we're all heavily overdue a good old zombie killin' RP. I'm not gonna go too deep into detail until I'm sure I have three or five people actually interested, but the gist: Nut Up or Shut Up. This isn't The Walking Dead- we take nothing seriously here. No, this is a for-shits-and-giggles, just-because Zombie Genocide Simulator. Make your characters badasses, load them up on big guns, cool cars, and explosions, and let's go hunt some fuckin' Homers.

If you're down, say I! I'm looking for 3 players (Plus me) minimum, and probably a maximum of 7 or 8, because I can't handle much more than that. There will be some story involved, to keep things *actually* interesting, but mostly this is just gonna be a good ol' "Who can kill zombies the best" game. There will be a rating board for Zombie Kill of the Week.

Mamoru is, at a glance, not a terribly intimidating specimen. At barely more than five feet in height, he is easily mistaken for the 'runt' of the litter. Closer inspection, however, yields to an incredibly well muscled, stocky physique- often compared to a tree stump. Rusty brown locks of medium length frame strong, handsome features, a healthy complexion offering an air of energy and vitality to the young man's face. He doesn't adorn himself with any jewelry or finery, preferring to maintain a simple, functional appearance.

⌈CLOTHING⌋

Comfortable • Green and Black

When heading into the field, Mamoru keeps its simple. Full length black pants cover his legs, tucked into knee-high boots- the calves bearing metal plates. A simple, snug-fitting shirt of black is worn beneath his trademark dark green zip-up hoodie. Hidden beneath the baggy sleeves are fingerless gloves that rise to his elbows, the forearms, like his shins, metal plated. His forehead protector is sewn into the right shoulder of his hoodie, and he maintains a standard ninja-tool pouch on his thigh.

Outside of conflict, he loses the gloves and boots, instead favoring black shorts, simple black sandals, the same old black shirt, and of course, his hoodie, the sleeves usually rolled up past his elbows to keep cool.

To sleep, he wears the shorts, and naught else.

Mamoru maintains an exceedingly calm, but nurturing exterior. Most often laid back, most find him to be easy company- always open and honest with his thoughts and feelings, which are most often quietly cheerful. He is, to a fault, encouraging of his comrades, constantly reassuring them and gently nudging them to do their best and excel, even when the odds of success are grim at best.

While externally calm, Mamoru's mind is constantly wrought with worry- not for himself, but for his companions. The well being of others is a continuous, driving thought for him, and he will go out of his way to worry about it. This same concern leads him to be rather... Protective, physically and emotionally, of his friends and family. He is, if nothing else, true to these feelings- always doing his best to preserve and protect the wellbeing of others.

Protect, at all costs.

Mamoru cannot stand the thought of his friends and allies coming to harm- not when he can do something about it. No matter the risk to himself, he will always stand as a barrier between those within his reach, and any harm he can see coming.

⌈MOTIVATIONS⌋

Upward

Mamoru will never stop improving- for the day he does is the day he will have failed to protect others. He strives to be the best among the best so that none may challenge his guardian stance.

⌈NARRATIVE⌋

The second son of the Sutando family head, Mamoru has always lived in a strange gray area. While his elder brother, next in line to lead the family, was pushed to excel in all things, Mamoru was coddled by mother and father both as the baby of the family. This may have led to a life of ease and laziness, given his family's comfortable position in the hierarchy of the Ginshō class... If not for his elder brother. Where their parents coddled him, his brother pushed him- pushed him to be just as good as he was, if not better. He had access to the same tutors, the same instructors, and if ever he failed to make use of them, his brother was swift to box him around the ears until he did. In a family that excels in combat, Mamoru and his brother were both exceptional, bearing the strength of their father and the skill of their mother in spades.

Three years behind his brother, Mamoru may as well have experienced the academy twice. He watched through his brother's eyes, soaking in the stories and lessons his brother took on day after day- and when it was his time, he went in prepared. Without the pressure of first born status weighing on his shoulders, he was free to tackle the work at his own pace, finding joy in it, rather than stress. He excelled at classwork, the blessing of his mother's keen mind making it a practical breeze- and when it came time for practical lessons, he positively shined. His natural physique and skill had the tai jutsu instructors hard pressed to challenge him. Genjutsu, however, escaped him entirely- and in the arts of ninjutsu, he proved to have exceptional talent in manipulating chakra... But a poor understanding of how to configure it into ninjutsu. While he successfully learned jutsu, it took him nearly double the time that it took the rest of the class, and his command of them remained... Iffy, at best.

With graduation on the horizon, he seeks constantly to improve and stand at the top of the class before the end...

Sutando Eight Gates Technique

While not exclusive to the Sutando Clan, the Eight Inner Gates Formation is a powerful technique mastered by few in the world. The Clan's main branch passes the technique down as a last-resort for its members, and has developed a martial art all their own to pair with it, specific stances taught to accompany the varying levels of release.

Taijutsu

Mamoru is exceptional in the arts of taijutsu. He is, quite simply, built for close quarters combat. Trained in the use of various weapons, from his own body to blades or blunt weapons, he is a vicious combatant when he gets into a foe's personal space.

Ninjutsu

While he is not particularly proficient in the use of ninjutsu, he is capable of several techniques that amplify his close quarters capability, and he is quite adept in the art of chakra control, providing far more "oomph" to his physical strikes.

Sutando Eight Gates Technique

The last resort technique taught by his clan, Mamoru keeps this as an ace in the hole, to be used only when the lives of his comrades are at stake. He can open the first three of the eight gates, and can use the stances associated with them.

Knuckles - Combat Kunai - Nun-chucks ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔

A simple set of steel knuckledusters, offering an extra bit of bone-cracking focus to Mamoru's strikes. They're sturdy, but lack in reach. - A larger-than-average kunai knife closer resembling a combat knife. Its reach is superior to his knuckles or the average kunai, but beyond that, it remains an average blade. - A pair of steel, hexagonal nun-chucks meant to deal brutal but non-lethal bludgeoning damage. Good for a beating, bad for lethal combat.

Body Flicker Technique - Hiding in Mist Technique - ?? ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔

By using the Body Flicker Technique, a ninja can move short to long distances at an almost untraceable speed. To an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported. It is accomplished by using chakra to temporarily vitalize the body and move at extreme speeds. The amount of chakra required depends on the overall distance and elevation between the user and the intended destination. - This technique is a specialty of Kirigakure ninja. Users fill the air with mist and control its thickness with their chakra. Once the mists are thick enough that opponents cannot see, that in turn means they cannot manage much defense against the user. -

Earth Release: Subterranean Voyage - Earth Release: Stone Mail - ?? ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔

A technique that transforms the earth surrounding the user into a fluid, allowing them to close in on the enemy with high speed by swimming underground. Since being under the ground is a blind spot, the target has no warning; allowing the user to launch a surprise attack. - A technique designed by the Sutando Clan for close combat. It takes surrounding stone and pulls it to the user's body, creating an armored shell impervious to most attack, that also offers extra weight to the user's own strikes- at the cost of much slower movement. It is vulnerable to lightning-type attacks, which can shatter the armor outright. -
