I added my introduction to my last post cause it seems I've missed the chance to get it in later.
Can cripple be applied to anything? Say a blind or deaf person?
Will the winning character be featured in the RP? Also for the contests we could have submissions posted in the IC and new contest topics as well as the winning submission posted in the OOC.
Well Shiro is dense. Does this mean he's going to be doing that exploding text thing often cause next time Sapphire's gonna get violent rather than just trying to humiliate him (though he does a pretty good job of that on his own).
Sapphire is a little bit, really really mean to Shiro. You can already tell they don't have a good relationship going.
Sapphire Rode - Armoury

Just as things looked like they were about to get heated the teacher entered the room and began a speech about the importance of armory class. It matched Sapphire's ideals exactly, there was no point knowing the best place to hit a Grimm to kill it if you had enough firepower to incinerate it. Both the Fox faunus and Lionheart departed for their own seats and Sapphire did the same, sitting back down next to Amy. Who told her she didn't need Sapphire's help but thanked her for it any ways. A girl that could take care of herself, Sapphire liked that.

Next were the introductions. As the baton went around the room Sapphire got a good feel of most of the others in the class.

Oswald was a man of few words but the impressiveness of his Spiral Sword and Guardian's shield made up for anything he wasn't saying.

Amy seemed competent enough though Sapphire would have liked to know a little more about her weapon. At the moment they appeared to be in storage mode on her desk and as such appeared as long metal sleeves. Likely they were a lot like Morpheus and Phobator, they assembled when the right command was given.

Ivan was predictable, he had the amazing power of being able to blow hot air. Listening too him you'd have thought he was the best shot in four kingdoms and could wipe out all the Grimm in the world single handed. The information about his semblance though she held onto, that would be important later.

Indigo, Ivan's partner seemed a little unsure of himself but at least his conviction was strong. He glanced back at Sapphire when he spoke of making a good blade. She hoped for his sake that blade wasn't targeted at her.

Ineko, now there was an interesting one, Sapphire couldn't remember his fight, it must have been one of the ones she was temporarily blinded for. His introduction didn't say much about him but he did have those drones always flying nearby that interested her. She might ask him about their abilities later.

Her eyes fell on Shiro next and she realized immediately that something was wrong. He was slumped on his desk, curled into a tight ball, his hood covering his face and vibrating so fast the desks around him were mimicking the movements. Had he overclocked his semblance between here and the lunchroom? No that couldn't have been it. When it came time for his introduction there was a good thirty second pause in which everyone started at the tiger faunus who looked to be having a seizure. Seconds later he shot up from his chair like a volcano exploding shouting out a rather rushed and explosive introduction, the word and grated on her ears by the time he was finished, he'd used it so many times.

She should have figured it was just Shiro being... a thousand words came to her mind to describe what Shiro was, none of them polite so she settled on describing Shiro as Shiro. Anything else and she'd be too tempted to say it out loud to resist. He'd had her scared if only for a moment and for that he was going to pay. She stood as Marcus and Gren were introducing themselves and made her way down to where Shiro was sitting. She put on her best manners along with a winning smile brightened her face considerable and was uncharacteristic for anyone that knew her.

"My apologies Mr. Chatsworth," She said motioning to her teammate. "My friend here has clearly suffered some serious brain trauma during the sparing matches this morning. It's my fault really, as team leader I should have realized sooner. I'd request that Shiro be allowed to adjourn to the nurses office for the remainder of class so they can make sure there isn't any permanent damage." That aught to set him straight, really only her own teammates had any real reason to doubt what she said and to most of the other students any protests Shiro himself made would look like attempts to save face.

They were still in the middle of introductions, Sapphire figured now was as good a time as any. "My name is Sapphire Rode, my mother was an engineer and huntress, she taught me a good deal of what she knew. I specialize mostly in compact mechanics, the ability of an object to collapse in on itself to become both portable and concealable, While we're here I'm hoping to make something a little out of the norm." She had a few ideas but nothing concrete enough for a schematic. The other thing she prayed was that no one recognized her last name. That last thing she needed in this class was to be recognized as Janus Rode's daughter. She'd been lucky enough not have it mentioned thus far.

"Now Shiro we should be getting you to the nurses office."
Sapphire Rode - Armoury

When the bird girl answered Sapphire she was stuttery and nervous, almost flighty in attitude. That line of thought led Sapphire to wonder, could the bird girl in fact fly? Sapphire had heard about Avian Faunus who had wings grown from there back, they had hollow bones and thicker tougher muscles to compensate, there chest had a number of air sacks to allow them to breath in a thinner atmosphere. The girl certainly looked like she was ready to take flight.

Sapphire hadn't exactly meant the comment about the girl's feathers sarcastically but she hadn't really been sincere either. There were alright looking but it wasn't really in Sapphire's nature to care. In fact Sapphire had thought the girl would take offense to the comment, assume Sapphire was mocking her faunus heritage but she just stuttered a nervous thanks and complimented Sapphire's hair in return.

This took the azure haired girl completely aback. She'd never really had people other than her sisters compliment her. Most of them saw the dangerous warning look in her eye and decided either to keep a wide birth or that this would be a great person to antagonize. The latter usually ended up having there asses handed to them. A genuine compliment was rare for Sapphire. "Th-thanks, was a gift from my Mom."

At this moment something caught Sapphire's attention, it was a low rumbling sound like a growl, the kind of sound an animal would make when it picked up the scent of prey. It didn't take Sapphire long to find the source of the growling. Of course it was Shiro, the wonder Fuzzball. Sapphire glanced between Shiro and Amy, sure in the wild tigers might prey on hawks but they were Faunus not animals, they didn't eat each other. That semblance of his must really have left less of his brain behind than Sapphire had thought if he was actually thinking about eating other Faunus. Or maybe she was reading into it too much, maybe he'd just missed lunch and that was his stomach growling, but the more she listened the more Sapphire tended to doubt it. "Hey Amy, let me know if the white tiger over there gives you any trouble, he's on my team so I can probably talk some sense into him." It was clearly obvious from the way she said talk that what she really meant was to teach him a lesson he'd be unlikely to forget.

Sapphire was just considering getting up to... club Shiro over the head or something equally violent when another boy came by their table disrupting her thoughts, he was some sort of lion Faunus. She couldn't remember his name but then again what concern was it to her? "Ah, Richard the Lionheart, a great morning isn't it?" she said with a sort of unamused candor. Seconds later a fox faunus approached the desk greeting Lionheart, Geni that was his name. Of course this didn't grab Sapphire's attention half so much as the weapon the Fox girl was brandishing none to subtly. It was clear she was fixing for a fight.

Sapphire had had enough, it was too crowded and she didn't like fights breaking out nearby unless she was cause. Sapphire stood up walking round the desks. "Well you too seem to have a great working relationship." She said her voice dripping with a sarcastic false optimism. She placed either of her hands on the Lion boy and the Fox girl's shoulders turning them towards the front of the room. "If you too want to kill each other there is a nice open space over there, have a good day you two."

So how would Gift of the Wild go? Increased speed, maybe?

X-Ray Vision, think it over :)
Hey, how do you think Sapphire's semblance Selective Sight could be improved? Right now she is capable of whiting herself out of peoples perceptions relying mainly on preconceived expectations that she is not there.
As far as weapon and semblance upgrades go I don't think we should use in game currency to get them given that some students are just naturally better off than others. For instance Sapphire's father is an effective hunter and as such Sapphire has a good deal of money at her disposal as apposed to the guy who grew up outside the kingdoms and slept on the ground before coming to Beacon.
