I'm thinking make everything a bit more about the characters. I like what we have going on and the people involved but we can't sustain an RP on: "Hey look a battle, let's fight." "Alright we've fought let's talk things out." "Hey look another battle." It's just not going to work. I'm not saying that there shouldn't be any battles, that's sort of the entire point of Fire Emblem but maybe make them mean something a bit more and have them be a little less... well I suppose episodic would be the word.

We need a wider goal we're marching too and we encounter chances to fight on the way. Also making it so player choices will have a greater effect wouldn't be bad thing. At the moment our choices could get us killed, injuries or leveled up but apart from that the story won't change much based on what our characters are doing. Introduce some situations that might fracture the Reclaimers or call loyalties into question. That would be fun.

Also and this is more for everyone else than it is for Lug. Allow for some interaction on the battlefield. Get yourself into trouble and leave it to another unit to get you out. You're fighters don't have to be completely self sufficient. A lot of us are writing our characters getting injured and stuff (which is good cause no one likes untouchables) but you don't always have to get yourself out of trouble at the end. Be surrounded by enemies and wait for someone to help you. In Fire Emblem when you send a unit somewhere and realize it was a mistake you don't wait for that unit to survive or not you send in other units to support and defend them.
I'm adding an armoury upgrade, how much would this cost?

Lightning Pins - Throwing knives with a unique design to attract electricity. Using these knives he can set up his Lightning Rod skill's directions, giving him more versatility of approach. They can be used as ranged weapons as well, although they are weak in that regard. Due to their small size, he can carry a large amount of them, and throw a large amount of them with relative ease.

Hang on Jack had super speed and lightning powers? And I thought being inperceivable was going over the top.
My posting is going to be sporadic for the next five days. I'll try to stay present but I can't make any promises. Just got a new apartment, gotta unpack and the Internet doesn't go up till Thursday.
I need to get in on the fighting games happening. Can anyone best Jack's lightning speed reflexes?

Sapphire could. She's fast and for all intensive purposes can make herself invisible.

Lug are we fighting all at once? There was that thing at the end about facing multiple opponents.

Also what do you think of tag team battles for combat class.

And how then does this apply to sentient balls of lightning? Or dare I suppose that Cy cannot communicate with Darren.

I think it would be Deraen can't communicate with Cy cause Deraen can understand verbal speech.

On an unrelated note, I was going to comment on how similar Eight's healing/transformation was to the Doctor Who episode "The Empty Child" and how nanites reconstructed what they thought was a healthy human, though of course you've added your own twist with the computer integration, I was wondering if that's where you got your inspiration from.

Mommmmyyyyyy... Are you my mommy?

Technically those were nanogenes. Originally Eight was a character from a Star Trek fanfiction I was working on. As you can probably tell from the name he was a Borg drone that was freed from the collective and possessed all the technical specifications of every ship the Borg ever assimilated. When I adapted the character I still wanted him to have a vast knowledge of ships downloaded into his head and computer components making up parts of his body. Really I think the inspiration for it came from Stargate Atlantis where they repair Elizabeth Weir's body by having Replicator nanites replace the damaged cells in her brain. Since I wanted there to be data about ships in there too I sort of tacked on the idea that the nanites built part of the stations computer into his head. I suppose the answer would be no, though I do remember when I was writing it out the Doctor's line: "Couldn't tell what was gas mask and what was skull but they did there best." popping into my head so some of it may have come from there.

He talks to humans and other species through telepathy and does not have any form of verbal communication if that's what you're asking, though he understands verbal communication. When it comes to messages over an intercom or other communication device the thought-speech is translated to audio by the machine and so is "heard" as audio.

Would his telepathy work on Eight? I sort of had this idea that Eight would be able to detect telepathic static wavelengths but because his brain is part computer he wouldn't be able to translate it into words.

Eight of Twelve - Babylon IV

Eight left the Alamo with the rest of the group. He may not have had a personal interest in this mission but Eight was always accumulating data. The Babylon IV a new chance for him to have first hand experience of another type of system. Every FTL drive was different. They all operated on the same basic principle of mass alteration but every drive was constructed uniquely.

When the bombs rang out, Eight tracked the duration of the explosion, the sound of the shock wave, and the color of the detonation and concluded that the Xenovian Revolutionaries were using photonic particle explosives. After exploding these left a concentration of dense particles in the air the inhibited the process of energy transference which rendered much technology all but useless. They were more effective for ground assaults than they were for interstellar combat so as long as the Babylon IV cleared the area soon they would be unaffected.

Eight ran for the Babylon, mostly so he could have a look at there systems. The Babylon he could see from it's design as he entered was a Meridian Transport Ship, Theta Class. It had a sizable cargo hold and the engines as well as the design of the ship were meant for maneuverability and speed, this unfortunately meant that it's weapons systems were nominal. Likely one of the reason Starfire had been contracted in the first place. It's crew compliment would be no more than fifteen. The Theta Class vessels were built to be both swift and replaceable. The Yamikov-Fujikawa Transport Company was not unfamiliar with piracy and had learned how to minimize it's losses.

With a full ship schematic in his head Eight headed directly to the ship's engineering core, ignoring the hulk like Krull that had boarded with him. Once Eight arrived the small engineering crew knew why he was there because of the patch on his shoulder proclaiming him a member of Starfire's Raptor Squad. Eight demanded a work station which he was provided and routed a continuously updated status report on all major systems as well as creating an open com link with the bridge of the transport vessel and the Alamo in case there was any pertinent information he had to relay to the captain of either ship. "Captain, it would be prudent to initiate the launch sequence now before the Babylon is disabled by photonic charges." With the Captain's consent Eight prepped the engines for launch as someone on the bridge took the helm.
