Work? I thought this was a game!

@Lugubrious You lied to me!

What, you're not getting paid for this. @Lugubrious that's dishonest.
Well we've got a four person team that only has one person left on it so.
My mistake, I looked it up, Weiss has the ability to manipulate the acceleration of objects via glyphs, when she traps an enemy or creates a platform in mid air she's moving her acceleration or theres down to zero. When she shoots off in any direction or that awesome slingshot maneuver with Ruby she's increasing acceleration. Then the ice stuff is her combining ice dust with her semblance.
I thought Weiss had limited manipulation over time, the instant platforms arose from her stopping time in a localized area allowing her to treat that area as solid, time stop self explanatory, and the trap similar thing. Then wasn't the ice, dust from her sword?

And I thought Yang had the ability to redirect kinetic energy and the fire thing was just emphasis, like 'I'm so powerful I'm on fire' kind of thing.
Semblance: Ebon's Semblance is basically Telepathy and Telekinesis which he calls "Mind of Matter", but it works on just about everything, even inanimate objects. Specifically what it's like is as though he was right where the person or object is, and he can see what they see, hear what they hear, and feel what they feel like he was there himself. He can also use this power to communicate with others or distract them by filling their thoughts with white noise or making their imagination work against them self. He can telekentically control inanimate objects or unconscious creatures. Ebon mainly uses this power on his R-Types so he can figure out what he needs them to do, as the telepathic reading is instantaneous; he can read the thoughts of everyone or everything around him in less than a moment.

Hang on, Ebon has telekinesis and telepathy? I thought semblances were supposed to be limited to one ability. Those are two decidedly different spheres of influence.
Or both of us would work.

I totally didn't realize I was the co-GM till like ten seconds ago.
I rewrote him a little more eloquently because I thought since it's been at least ten thousand years maybe more he's likely matured some. Shadow Link changes with every new Hero that is called but I didn't think that should be all that changed him. I figured he would learn as much from time as from experiencing what it was to be each of the new heroes. Part of that I thought would be less juvenile speech, after all after a couple millennium you expect he might grow up. I was not trying to change the trajectory of the character or how her personality was received by everyone else in the RP. I probably should have asked. For not consulting you first I am sorry.
Wasn't my rule, I would assume if there was an overlap Lug would look at them and make a ruling on whether they were too similar or not but again it's not my rule, I just work here.
My mistake. In that case @Silvan Haven I have no problems with your character. Since I think Lug is on hiatus I believe with mine and Hari's consent your in.
So since he is evil in the source material, I can't change him at all?

I'm out.

That's not what I said. I said in the source material he has certain qualities and tendencies which were written in as part of his backstory that do make him appear evil. That doesn't mean your Shadow Link has to stay that way but it does mean it has to be a part of his character. You'd already demonstrated that he wants to change, you've also make him seem a bit unstable and prone to mood swings. You could easily alter that to be him fighting with his own inherent nature as a creature of the Shadows. There are certain things that are set in stone in the Zelda universe but you can interpret them in a multitude of different ways. I think it's part of what makes it such a captivating series.

In the Four Swords manga at the last second Dark Link turns against Vaati and shatters the Dark Mirror which is what leads Link to being able to defeat the Wind Sorcerer even though it ends Shadow Link's life. That's not canon but it does mean that he doesn't necessarily have to be the bad guy. However he does have a certain alignment that has to be taken into account when writing him.

You have to use the source material but you don't have to be limited by it. Look at my Navi, her history contains all that is canon about Navi in Ocarina of Time but I've taken it further. She's evolved and changed, she's angry, she's bitter, she's tortured and reckless. Does that sound like the "Hey! Listen!" Fairy from Ocarina of Time. If you really want to be apart of this you'll find ways to make the lore work for you rather than being chained by it.

But if one misunderstanding about your character is enough to make you want to quick then in the long run we're probably better off without you.
