Man, since writing about 'Adult Shiro'...I want to write more as him. xD

Well first she has to develop 'emotion' before she can display 'love' and 'affection' to establish a strong enough bond/relationship with another partner before the eventuality that is marriage.

I have this weird feeling that Sapphire is going to die young.
We have now reached post 2000 in the IC. Congratulations everyone, a lot of RPs don't make it past 200, we should be very proud of ourselves.
Sapphire Rode - Infirmary

Sapphire sat on the edge of a bed while the nurse did a standard examination to be sure she was alright. They took a bit of blood to test for toxins as well as a physical examination. Thankfully she'd been able to change into dry clothes before coming here. Honestly though Sapphire could have cared less about the whole thing, really all she wanted to do was collapse into a bed. Their mission had been exhausting, especially for her. She knew this was standard practice for anyone returning from a a grimm fight Sapphire still wanted it over with. She sat there in a haze for awhile thinking about what had transpired that day.

All in all the mission should have been called a success, they destroyed the target and a good number of other grimm and protected the town. The entrance to the cave had been blocked off by the locals to ensure another siren didn't move in and no member of Team Swansong had sustained any serious injuries. Yet Sapphire couldn't help but feel that the mission had been a complete failure. There was no sense of teamwork or cooperation to the battle. Though Abel and Sapphire had performed fairly well in tandem and Shiro and Gren had dealt with the Siren it had seemed to Sapphire that each of them was trying to fight their version of the battle separately without any thought or consideration for the actions of the other team members. All together all four of them had been reacting more than actually cooperating.

Sapphire had the distinct impression that if they'd been going up against something more formidable or clever than a siren they could very easily have gotten seriously wounded or even killed. The worst part was that Sapphire had no idea how she could rectify the matter. Abel she felt confident would follow her instruction but he seemed to lack the follow through to make definitive decisions on his own. Shiro was so impulsive that she wouldn't even have time to tell him to do something before he was eight feet away putting himself in twelve kinds of danger. Those things she hoped could be rectified with time, the real problem was Gren, he was so busy trying to prove she was an inept leader and trying to consolidate control for himself that he could easily get someone killed because he was focused more on the politics of the team than their actual function. The bottom line was that they didn't trust each other, didn't listen to each other and didn't take stock of the others.

Their team dynamic was fractured and Sapphire didn't see any way to repair it. She could get the job done, she could complete the missions assigned and she would ensure that all of them made it home alive even at her own expense but that didn't seem to be enough for Shiro or Gren. What they wanted from her she couldn't give them. To her friendship was a contract, something sacred. It meant that you would take a bullet for someone, be willing to put your life on the line for them and knowing without question that they would do the same for you. It wasn't a word you used to describe someone that you'd had a friendly conversation with like Shiro seemed to think and it didn't mean that you were always nice, accommodating, and friendly like Gren seemed to believe. It meant when shit hit the fan these would be the people standing by your side through everything and if she was being completely honest with herself that wasn't a definition she could apply to any of her teammates.

The nurse came back to inform her that she had a mild caustic burn to her throat from the stomach acid she'd coughed up, her voice might be a bit hoarse for a couple of days but otherwise she was in good health. The nurse recommended a good nights sleep before relieving her. Sapphire thanked the woman and got up wanting to be out of the Infirmary as quickly as possible. Though it may not have quite looked it the Beacon Infirmary still had that antiseptic smell that reminded Sapphire of too many trips to the hospital. It was a smell she associated with pain and loss and she'd just as soon be anywhere else.

However before she could get to the exit Sapphire had to pass by a number of beds occupied by Beacon students in various states of disrepair from the missions they'd recently returned from. Some had closed curtains, while others were less private, displaying the injured for everyone to see. One of these beds Sapphire saw was occupied by Oswald. She wouldn't have exactly called him a friend, they had after all only known each other for two weeks but they were friendly. Enough that she'd invited him to her Uncle's bar last weekend. She hadn't been exactly pleased that he'd invited friends of his own but still it would be rude not to say hi. Especially considering he looked like he'd just been run over by an armored car.

Sapphire didn't on the whole want to spend more time in the infirmary but Oswald looked to be stuck here, possibly for the entire weekend so if a few minutes of discomfort for her would give him something else to think about it was worth it. Besides, it wasn't like she had any other plans today. The azure haired girl grabbed one of the chairs sitting by the wall and swung it around to face Oswald's bed. She sat herself down and crossed her legs. "You look bored. You know I find counting the cracks in the ceiling really helps." she said with a playfully sarcastic smile on her face.

<Snipped quote by Prince of Seraphs>

She experienced a gun that shoots swords, which then explode... Into three more swords.A sword that shoots energy is nothing compared to that. XD

Terra's ability to look like this:

For short periods of time?
"I'm fascinated to know how you can project a hard light hologram over yourself with such great accuracy, since theoretically this shouldn't alter how you physically interact with your environment with your own physical limbs. There's a notable discrepancy in the height, body build, and arm length of yourself and the individual you've chosen to project over your form. Oh, is this a fast acting DNA biological revision formula? How does it function? Machine? Bacteria? Virus?"

Master's sword's Beam Attack?
Hyrule Castle Town Market

The event that had brought many strange people to the land of Hyrule had also irrevocably damaged the Kingdom's greatest city. The main street was eerily calm, the bricks whitewashed and polished. A door stood to the right built into the wall, no doubt some sort of guard station. A man dressed in full armour with a spear planted firmly in the ground stood just outside the door watching the street. It looked for all intents and purposes like an ordinary town. That was until you looked a little deeper.

As one moved down the street they would notice small discrepancies, single bricks that looked as though they'd been through a violent fire surrounded by perfectly unharmed ones. More and more such things would become evident till one looked upon the town square. The main market of Hyrule Castle Town was in every sense of the word erratic. It was as if a warhead had fallen on the town yet when rebuilding commenced only some buildings had been repaired. Not in a half finished construction either. There were full buildings that looked perfectly pristine and open for business, some even a little worn down like they had been there awhile. These were next to other buildings that were completely burnt out, collapsed roofs, walls falling in, wood rotting away.

A building with the face of a bearded man emblazoned on it along with the word "Bizarre" was completely untouched while the shop next to it had been leveled down to the foundation leaving only a mass of collapsed wood and the outline of a house behind. The buildings that lined the initial street were all in perfect order except the auction house had the awning in front of it ripped away while the Treasure Chest Shop was stable on the sides facing the street but two thirds of it facing the market had completely collapsed and burned leaving the remainder in nearly perfect condition.

Though the mask shop was still standing it was a travesty of its former glory, the bright and extravagant colors were gone and barely more than the skeleton of the place was still upright. The roof had collapsed and a mass off wood and other buildings materials littered the inside which was barely recognizable. Strangely though directly to the left of the Mask Shop was what appeared to be a near identical duplicate, albeit it was only about half the shop but it appeared that a section of it was double and placed in the center of the road. Most of the sign could be made out and the similarities with the building directly next to it were unmistakable. Unfortunately lacking a foundation in the middle of the road this mysterious copy had collapsed into any space it could find. Though it still held its shape more or less it completely blocked the road to Hyrule Castle.

The buildings in the Northwest corner of the square were oddly untouched though completely deserted. In the center of the market was a fountain. The stone it was made of was scorched black with barely more than a centimeter of putrid water in the bottle but the hand rail that lined it was perfectly intact, in fact it looked as though it had been polished just that day.

Between the collapsed Mask Shop and the remains of the Potions Shop (next to the bizarre) was a road which though scared in some places was more or less alright. It led to a small garden that surrounded a great cathedral (Temple of Time) which strangely enough seemed to be made of either brilliantly polished white stone or brown stone that looked as though it had been through a bombing, depending on where you looked at it from. The door to the cathedral was sealed from the inside while the garden outside was a combination of blooming plant life and very very dead flora. Four stones stood around a small pool at the entrance each carved with an eye that seemed to stare into a person's soul. The water in the pool was gone, boiled off years ago leaving only small puddles at the bottom.

The sides streets were not as damaged as the main area, the buildings were all standing though some looked severely damaged as though they were a good punch away from collapsing while others were like much of the town in pristine condition. For any who cared to look there was the body of a dead guard collapsed in a heap in one of the back alleys.

The strangest thing about this town however was the light. It was inconstantly, while near the pristine parts of the square there was brilliant sunlight which made the destruction in the area seem almost inconsequential as a magnificent castle looked down on everything from the distance. However when you stepped on the destroyed patches the light turned dark and sinister, the air became heavy and humid and a purple smog seemed to hover over everything. The castle in the distance shifted to a cruel tower suited only for a tyrant.

Scattered throughout the place were what looked to be serious burn victims scattered about, their skin was charred brown so they were indistinguishable from one another. In the daylight they looked strangely like ordinary pedestrians, though there physical appearance did not change while in the dark they looked like sinister monsters. These Redeads lumbered around the square but would not go near any part of the Market that wasn't in shambles.
@Lugubrious
I'm not totally certain, honestly. She's personal friends with 2 sirens and knows 1 more, all of whom have powers that alter reality in some way that appears to be magic for all intents and purposes, but is sufficiently advanced alien science that affects the women's biology. Not to mention this is over 40k years in the future when you can literally shoot fire/lightning/acid from guns, have energy shields that can absorb enemy bullets to add to your own magazines, hit back at melee enemies, and more, not to mention the entire science behind "digistructing" objects and teleportation stations and of course the eldritch abominations contained in pocket dimensions behind the Vaults... Yeah, she's probably likely to find some manner of scientific explanation for just about anything she sees, or at the very least believe that it has a scientific explanation even if she can't figure it out. :P

*Takes her to see the...* I was trying to be clever there but can't seem to think of anything that couldn't be explained by the line "any sufficiently advanced technology will present itself as magic". Golden Sun event, The Warring Triad, Paper Mario 2's Shadow Queen.

Oh how about The Fey Spirit Channeling abilities from Phoenix Wright?
I had thought about making mention of, "Oh, you have the same siren power as Lilith!" but then decided, naw, she wouldn't draw too much attention to it.

Out of curiosity what would it take for Gaige to believe that Terra had actual magic?
@Prince of Seraphs Oh yeah, big time. One of the main characters is a siren with the "phasewalk" ability that in essence is a form of violent teleportation, generating an elemental shockwave at point of origin and point of destination. Then there's the fast travel stations, which are canonical and not just a "game mechanic," unlike the "New-U" stations (respawn points).

Okay good to know. Terra just warped to prove her point about magic and Gaige didn't react or even seem to notice so I thought I'd ask.
Link's tiny compared to Birdie, with minimal upper body strength. The hookshot can only latch onto predetermined hookshot spots, whereas Birdie's chains can wrap themselves securely around whatever targets Birdie throws them at. I'd say this isn't something Link can do in the game.

Do you have any idea how heavy a sword of this:

size would be? I've taken sword fighting lessons and I had trouble holding a sword half that size in the same position that he does for more than a few minutes. Not to mention his ability to climb mountains and swim with that monstrous weight on his back. And that's just the sword not to mention his other equipment. Proportionally speaking Link would be a lot stronger than birdie and even taking size into account their strength is very likely about equal.

While you can't hookshot anything in the original game the hookshot is basically a chain and in a real world environment could be stretched out to use as a grappling hook or weapon.

However this really isn't all that important as you'd eventually get into the castle town one way or another. Though you might want to edit in something about seeing Bayonetta and Red as they are standing in front of the drawbridge so if Birdie was trying to pull it open with his chain he couldn't have been more than a few feet from them.

@ProPro Never played Borderlands, is teleportation a relatively common occurrence there?
