Exploring the unknown ways of torturing a slave?

More or less beginning research on BASIC energy shields. The X'Cor are going to be going back to the Namilee home system to collect any more debris that they can analyze, seeing as how they put a shield around their home planet and ships.

Oin may also begin going to other systems, debating on that.
My next post will end the slave rebellion once and for all

also may begin exploring the unknown
@Hael

*makes half the X'Cor immortal*
Now I feel bad because the Hierophant of the Mur-Po is kind of immortal-ey, though being the ego-maniacal leader of the Mur-Po race he (it?) is basically the most taken-care-of and important person in the Ascendancy; also he is going insane from his body's rejection of cybernetic implants.

Hope that between that, espers, and insane kamikaze bioships I haven't gone too far! Though with whatever questionable tech I have I do try and counterbalance it with some pretty huge downsides. The first il-ship destroyed a moon and devastated a planet and are effectively uncontrollable and weak even now after over a century of further research. Powerful, but with some big-time disadvantages; and furthermore, they don't form a big part of the Mur-Po military (at least, not yet), and a big part of their usage comes from surprise. They're glass cannons, effectively.

Speaking of, would anyone have any interest in having some dealings with the Mur-Po at some point in the future?

My question is what is the average lifespan of the Mur-Po?
@ASTA

While Hael made herself clear, I would like to point out that even through technological advancements the diseases you fight would evolve to become even stronger so no you couldn't outright get rid of diseases, not to mention diseases from other planets. Your little nano things wouldn't know how to fight against a foreign object that it does not know, in fact it may very well begin attacking the host's own cells.

Secondly, while yes someone could achieve a long lifespan, does that mean they are ageless? No, not at all. Even if you had 3,000 years to do so, you don't even know how long it would take to even formulate this regardless. There is also the balancing issues here. Your citizens don't die? That means your worlds would become overwhelmed by population and its resources would diminish quickly. Thus you would have to always be expanding or roaming. While yes, I played myself there, it would be nice if your people tried to extend their ages in the RP. Have then set on achieving what you described through the means of the RP and not start off with it. Thus other players may be able to scale with you.

I know Hael made up her decision, I just personally want you to see that there are other ways to go about this. I just wanted to throw this in because it has been bothering me.

Oooo! Explorer vs. Explorer drama! I love it!

But yes, I'm curious about that- what is the Syndicate?

A criminal organization, I think, not even sure. Though they use X'Cor operatives!
And while it may be possible for some species, I will not allow it for anything remotely resembling humans- we aren't any of those species. Perhaps you'd like to play a jellyfish?

Anyways, @ASTA, the simply fact is that pretty much all organic life as we know it succumb to disease, death, famine, etc. We do have a max lifespan of 500-1,000 years though. (In this RP in the OP somewhere, I believe). While I am all up for creativity, we cannot allow this as it simply wouldn't be all that fun. I do hope you understand.

@Ozerath

Aww, your people don't like my imperialistic slavers. That is a damn shame, wouldn't it be awful if something happened to sour relations?
