Bio

"If you kill a man, you scorn his wife. If you kill his wife, you scorn her child. If you kill her child, you scorn his village. If you kill his village, you scorn the kingdom. If you kill the kingdom you scorn an empire. If you kill an empire, then who is left?"

A familiar voice crept over the intercom, the General's, and called away the woman. With her she took the data card and two of the four guards. There was still a pair of them just outside, and they were certainly cutting an imposing figure. The chances of his landing suit standing any sort of a chance against their war suits would be slim to none, so there was no running out of here. Above him there were likely surveillance cameras observing his every move. Alright, the layout is pretty set. LeeRoy's not going anywhere any time soon. This room was basically a prison cell, the only viable exit was blocked by two people who could probably rip his arms out at the socket.

'You could build a suit of that armor right?'

If I had the resources.

'Why not just ask the guards where the armory is?'

Because that'd be stupid.

'What are they gonna do, kill you?'

Alright, you make the plan.

'Ask them where the armory is, and tell them like. I dunno, you need to know to improve the performance of their weapons. Or something like that, they look like big dumb brutes, they'll probably fall for it.'

This isn't going to go as well as you think it will. LeeRoy raised his hand and waved to one of the guards outside, trying to get their attention.Hoping that this might actually work, dumb luck pays off sometimes. "Uh, hello? Yeah, you, guard. C'mere, I need to ask a couple questions. If I am really to help the Angar-Ryllan Empire I need a bit of information. I'm here to improve your technology guys, that's what I do. So where's the stockpile of weapons and armor, I could improve their performance at least seventy five percent. At least."

'Could have worded it better.'

Yeahp. I could have, that wasn't worded too well. LeeRoy actually crossed his fingers at this point, putting his faith in one of the most childish gestures.
We did.
I don't see how they're constantly joking, I'm reading over them and I don't see anything joking about it. Light-hearted, but not comedy.
What do you mean by: "Acceptable characteristics"? What's unacceptable about them now?
I see your point, Melon, you make a 100% valid response to what I just said. But these characters have had, what? About twelve paragraphs total between the two of them? People are immediately judging them based on their initial reactions to being dropped headfirst into a world where they have no idea what to do next. Keezi's a big fuckin' nerd, and she's excited and has honestly been dreaming of something like this her whole life. And yeah, she's acting childishly in the start, but she has not seen anything serious happen so far in this roleplay yet. So she's not exposed to anything.

Like Biddz said. Disliking them before there's any room to develop is kind of unreasonable.
Why can't characters who aren't: "Oh we're war hardened monsters who love to kill and have no regrets murdering people." Able to be taken seriously?

We gave them personality traits that would be indicative of people who have been granted the powers that they have. They're not just throwaways, they actually have depth of thought put into them.

Keezi's hotblooded and extremely excitable because she's a comic book lover, and when she got superpowers she was excited. But then that excitement quickly turned into frustration, because there were literally no villains around.

Kholodny is a downtrodden individual who is basically the butt of the joke of the universe, poor guy has been dealt a shit hand in an albeit comedic way. Now he's afraid of everything, including his own power which causes him great physical discomfort, and he's got a sailors mouth from getting tired of dealing with this stuff for his entire life.

Now, what's missing there? Why aren't they likeable? We wanted to put some variety in the multiverse, we wanted someone who WASN'T just a monster who wants to kill people. They're PEOPLE with PEOPLE'S personalities. What's wrong with that?
I honestly don't know why, they've existed for a sum total of what, two days?

I won't press the subject, but it's totally confusing.
I too am curious as to why Keezheekoni and Kholodny Zima are unlikeable characters. In fact, TheBiddz and I designed them to be as likeable as possible. We wanted them to be funny and entertaining. What did we do to earn this ire?
Through the portal from the Nexus itself spouted two people of very different appearance, one frosty and one way too hot to handle. However, this pair was met with a rather sticky situation. Keezi actually faceplants a quarter inch into something kinda sticky, with a few aggressive tugs and a bit of a rise in her body temperature she pulled away from whatever it was. After opening her eyes she realized that it was a combination of dirt and spider webs. "Gross." Letting go of the cold guy's hand she pushed herself up to her feet, doing a couple of arm stretches. "Hey, you. Kholodny was it? We're friends now, right?" Without skipping a beat or waiting for answers she smiled down at him. "We landed in sticky white stuff and it's really gross."

She snickered and tugged at the ground a bit with one finger, pulling up a bit of thread from the ground like a chord. "I think it's spider web." The girl heated up the tip of her finger to light the string of nasty on fire. "Yeah, this is totally spider web, no doubt. It burns real easy. I should probably be careful or something. The place is covered in this junk. Also you should not sit down in it." She whistled and looked upwards, realizing that they were at the precipice of an enormous cavern of rock and web. "Big spiders dude, big ones. Gonna get real gross." Keezi wasn't afraid of spiders, no, not at all. In fact, she has little to no fear of anything. Still, even though she's not afraid of them. They are still gross, and if one touches her, all hell might break loose.
