If it doesn't short it out it would at least pass right through, and at that point it would be notably hotter. So it would be hot chunks of shit flying at you. So it would basically spell out death for them.
I may or may not be sitting down and coming up with the perfect counter for a Jedi.
Perhaps a droid crafted from Beskar/Mandalorian Iron could get close enough with a gun. Able to resist the saber they could get up close and personal with the force user.
Like I said. TO the head, not AT the head. Put the gun to their head and pull the trigger. If they could stop it before it exits the barrel I'd be impressed.
