I used to be big on stuff like that, but again, childhood experience destroyed that notion in my head pretty quick.

If I had the patience, drive, and mental stability to do so? Yeah, I'd probably go ahead and do it.

But I've got none of those things. That and anything religious, spiritual, and magical all give a bad taste in my mouth due to childhood experience.

I meant general strength training, the occasional fight with a family member, being a show off. Don't have the money or drive to go out and do anything like that.

I live off of natural sensations more than anything, I'm a chef. It's what enthralls me the most, the smell of what I'm cooking and the accompanying drinks. And unfortunately, every time I get into anything physical (not sexual, that's none of y'all's business.) I wind up getting hurt in some way shape or form.

Not that it stops me, but it happens every time.

The thumb thing is totally unrelated to the physical harm thing.

Though it is physical harm.

But I made a promise to my mom years ago to never make the mistakes she did. Took to drugs young, almost died because of a very bad trip, got off of them but got into smoking. She became a bad alcoholic before she met my grandfather. (I was adopted by my grandmother, I called and still do call her my mother.) She got off of drinking but smoked until she was 58. She stopped smoking after that.

I have never touched a cigarette, never tried drugs, and I've never liked the taste of alcohol. I'm a man of my word if nothing else.

Yeah, that seems like the most likely drug. Cheap and dangerous. Can't help but wonder what that shit does to your brain. I'd never do drugs, avoid that shit like the fucking pox. The permanent mental and sometimes physical damage that comes from them is way too much of a risk compared to the benefits.

That and I have an addictive personality.

I actually had a discussion like this with a girl in high school who was addicted to some kinda drug. She fell for it 100%.

Its totally unrelated but she wound up in rehab so long she didn't actually graduate.
