@Leidenschaft Don't worry I've put more than a few into it

I see that now. I didn't see any of the earlier post, so I took the timestamp of 1 hour I'd seen at the time. Carry on, then.

Also, my character to throw in. Might trim or add some things. Don't know yet.

@Leidenschaft Ok, thanks for telling me. I am a bit rusty when it comes to making long bios -haven't been part of a group RP in a long while- but I'll give it my best. Also, I've got one question, say, I want to make a character that is an expert in one-handed blade combat, that would require two expert points, right?

I don't think so. Best check with Gcold next time you get a chance, though. I'm a bit rusty on that point too and we're still trying to hammer out the CS and the skills. I do want to see if we're on the same page about taking Shield off the list. I mean, there's not really much skill to using a shield. You just really put it on your arm and now its there.
Also, for people wondering about the appearance section of the CS, it says written description mandatory, but you can put up a picture as well. Maybe you guys aren't like me and were hung up on the wording of that part for a bit.
Here's my character.

Two things for you to think about: that's not a typical pseudo-Latin/Italian name that Imperial heartlanders have.

And another, think about yourself carrying around 500 quarters.
Am a little bit busy today, but will start working on a CS soon.

We're in no rush.
It should go without saying I'm also working on it and nearly done (hopefully)

Take more than an hour on this. Remember, we're hardasses.
Currently working on the ol' CS. Well... okay, it's not old, it's new. Brand new, in fact. I could recycle an old character, but I won't. Instead, I'll make a new one. You get the idea. :V

Incidentally, I presume we're allowed to have Mixed-Race humans? (Like, half-Nord half-Imperial, for example).

Mm, kind of. Remember that in TES, family genetics don't exactly work like our world. If it did, there would be communities of "spaniards" living on the border of High Rock and Hammerfell. Anyways, the child is always the race of the mother with very faint traces of the father's looks.

This got me wondering. If weapons are not necessarily what we find in the games, can the same go for armor? In that case, could the fellow who wanted Dawnguard armor just get a brigandine vest with some leather limb protection and have Dawnguard armor in all but faction affiliation and name?

Yeah. You'd have to justify having it though. You'll see Nordic armor is pretty simple, just plates and mail. You see leather scale and padded cloth on the guards too.

I also wouldn't like if people saw this as a loophole, so no "it looks almost exactly like companion armor but I swear it isn't."

Something interesting I was thinking about as I was rereading the skills part. Can we trade one higher level skill for two lower level skills or does that only work one way?

You can.

Gcold, I'm wondering as I draft the framework of my char, do we only have the 9 skills in the default setup, or do we have the max 20?

Also, on that note. Destruction has 3 sub-schools of magic: fire, spark/thunderbolts and frost. Does expert mean that we specialize in one school or all 3?

Only 9. Don't worry yourself with sub-schools.

Everyone, remember. The point of this RP is that we aren't any kind of hero. Try not to make you armor, weapons or magical knowledge too extravagant. We're just grunts stuck in the rearguard watching a road.
Interested, don't know what I'd make.

Question though, are faction armors allowed? I don't mean like DB armor but stuff like Dawnguard and Vampire and Ancient Nord

Faction armors aren't exactly allowed. If you'll read the writeup above, you'll see our party is a bunch of mercenaries and misfits. A person who owns Dawnguard armor is part of the Dawnguard and wouldn't be with the party. Same for vampire. And why would a person want to wear armor that is a couple thousand years old, like ancient nord?

Btw, I'm the co-gm. Hello.
