"I'm sure he'll be fine," Masa spoke, his gaze settling on Gen for a moment before flickering back to his cousin- who bore a content smile as if he had planned on these events transpiring, "Just has a flair for the dramatics."

"I'm not the head of the Okinawa Drama Club for nothing. Happy to see my talents haven't gone unnoticed," Yamato winked over to his cousin as he stepped forward to Gen, offering a hand out to the male out of respect, "Saji, Yamato. Unfortunately related-" Yamato motioned back towards his brooding cousin.

Rolling his eyes, Masa found his hands firmly tucked away in his pockets as he looked over the slowly accumulating group- all the while attempting to find a reason to excuse himself and be on his way. Still, the opportunity had not presented itself, and it's likely Yamato would just call him out and force him to stay. 'Damnit' the male swore under his breath, followed by a heavy sigh- his eyes settling on Shizuka as he cast a very subtle smile in her direction, "The more the merrier..." His voice intentionally trailed off, hinting at his slowly mounting discomfort that he tried his best to hide, "As for Yamato, I should've aimed higher. Might've knocked some sense into him." At that, Masahide fell silent, merely glancing about those before him. It was then he noticed the girl before him held a subtle blush at Yamato's remark, to which Masa chuckled softly with a shake of his head before falling silent once more.

A moment later, a rather familiar sensation washed over Masahide as he blinked slowly. Seems his mounting fatigue was taking it's toll once ago, making it hard for the male to remain focused and standing. With a bow of his head, he'd merely give a bow of his head as he began heading off to the nearest bench.

Despite his greeting of Gen, Yamato took notice of his cousin attempting to depart as he dawned a devious smirk, "Not getting out that easy. I was hoping your friends would share some of your school-yard antics."

"Not now Yamato," Masahide called back, his gaze still focused forward. Withdrawing a hand from it's place in his pocket, he'd provide a dismissive gesture, "I'll catch up in a minute." His words were followed swiftly by and audible yawn, though he did his best to shake his head and dismiss the sudden heaviness to his limbs. Taking a seat, he'd lounge back comfortably, using an arm to prop his head as he merely gazed at heard at the four before him. After a few moments, those who noticed would see Masa had drifted off to sleep.

"My cousin everyone," Yamato let out a rather disheartened sigh, though it was quickly washed away as he bore his friendly smile once more, "So, how's life in the town? Aunite wants me to take ol' 'Lone Wolf' over there and show him a good time." Though his gaze was mostly focused on the male before him, he was more or less addressing the group as a whole.
@Cyrania

Sad to see you having to depart- if only for awhile. You're spot and character will be saved, but I will be trying to generate more interest for the thread. Part of the reason I've been having a hard time making post for this thread is the freedom it gave to the players, but by that token- I'm having to condense key plot points in small regions and it's a task to make them all line up in believeable ways. I know this is going to sounds strange- but I usually function better with more actions to interact with. As such, I'll probably bump the interest thread and see what becomes of it- but I'll do my best to keep this as up to date as possible.

@Lugia

Part of this series of posts is absolute freedom. You can literally do anything (within reason), so if you wanted to search the chocobos- that's fine. Wanna wander off into the woods? I'll come up with something. Want to ease drop on the HQ? ... Can't really advise you doing that, but be true to Robert.

Edit: Also, do you think this RP would benefit from us dropping the stats? Don't get me wrong, I've got the formulas saved now- so entering the numbers isn't a great feat. However, it might discourage new players, but I wanted to get current player feedback thus far.

"Who the-?" Yamato inquired as he rounded to the origin of the voice, his cousin matching his actions as their eyes fell upon the raven-haired girl that now stood before them. Masa instantly recognized the female, his lips curling into a subtle smile before he did his best to dismiss it, his hands quickly finding their way back into this pockets. Glancing back and forth between the girl and his cousin, Yamato seemed almost in awe before finally setting his eyes upon Shizuka, "You actually know this guy?" With a slight burst of laughter, he'd step back just enough to drape his arm over Masa's shoulders (who let out a subtle growl in annoyance), "You sir, are slacking in the loner department."

"Shut up, idiot." Masahide snarled slightly under his breath, freeing one hand long enough to throw a subtle elbow into the other male's stomache who grimaced slightly and withdrew his arms to cradle his stomache. With a slight sigh, Masa attempted to regain his composure as his attention turned fully to the woman before him, "It's good to see you well, Otonashi-kun, and thank you for your kind words," with a subtle bow of his head, he'd righten shortly after, "Is there something I can do for you?"

"How about provide conversation like a normal hu-" Yamato began to retort, one hand still placed softly over his stomache as his attempt to overexagerate his injury had finally subsided. Before he could finish his remark, he would be met with a glare from Masa, "-man. Is he always this rigid?" The light haired boy would inquire to Shizuka before hearing another voice call out in the background. Both males glanced over to the source, seeing another girl practically sprinting from the pool as she waved for the other females attention. "Ah, I get it. She's the popular one that knows everyone, right?"

Masahide merely shrugged, but his lips curled down slightly into an almost unnoticeable frown. 'Great... More people,' it was then the boy's eyes caught sight of Gen in the direction that Shizuka had approached. His free hand raised to pinch the bridge of his nose as he sighed subtley, 'And even more in the wings. What did you get me into, Yamato?'
... I thought I had posted already. All that time (20 mins) all that effort (about 2 paragraphs) gone... Oh well, I'll fix it asap.

Edit: Done. Sorry for the hold up, can't keep track of my tabs appearantly.

"Not bad. What's to do around here?" Yamato quized his cousin- who at this point had did his best to all but ignore his rather bothersome cousin. With a heavy sigh, Masa crossed the threshold, offering his cousin a subtle nod of his head in appreciation while Yamato held the door open for him. As they stepped inside, Masahide paused to look about the area.

"I don't know. I don't normally come here," Masa replied, continuing to scan the interior of the building. In truth, he was attempting to find a place where he could slip away and lose his cousins notice... But a short defeated sigh quickly followed the thought as Yamato made his way to Masa's side and draped an arm over his shoulder. True to form, Yamato clung to Masahide every chance he could- possibly due to the massive time between visits, but Yamato would claim it's to keep Masa out of trouble.

"You are a true homebody, aren't you? When was the last time you went out just to do something fun?" Yamato quizzed.

"A Persona Tourney, a while ago." Masa replied, lifting a hand to remove his cousins arm before straightening the hardly noticeable wrinkles in his attire, "Besides, I don't really have time to kill. Many places in this town wouldn't survive if I wasn't running around saving them."

"Have I ever told you how much I admire your modesty?" With that, Masa couldn't help but chuckle, a subtle smile forming upon his lips as his hands returned to his pockets. In truth, Masahide didn't hate his cousin... Far from it, but you'll never get him to admit it openly. Yamato was the only person he had come to know that truly just wanted to see Masa happy. Part of it could've been due to Masa's father treating Yamato as more of a son than his brother did, but it wasn't Masahide's place to ask or investigate. Still, it was a refreshing reunion- despite his cousins agitating disposition.

"Yeah? Well if it's true, it's true. Now, why did you drag me out here?" Masahide asked. At this, Yamato froze. His smile slowly fading to a thoughtful gaze. A few moments later, it was followed by a shrug of the boy's shoulders, "So, you drug me out of the house, walked all the way here, and have nothing in mind? You're pathetic."

"Hey! You're the thinker here! You figure it out." Yamato stated, slightly defensive as a subtle blush arose on his face. It's obvious that his impulsive nature had gotten the better of him, and left him without a clear plan to entertain his cousin. With a shake of his head and a slight sigh, Masa returned to scanning about the center.

Araguay Woods

As the survivors began to settle about the camp, an eerie silence blanketed the make shift outpost. As the civilians and soldiers began to settle at their posts, watches were being arranged by the few warriors that remained. At this point, any and all volunteers were accepted- even those who would normally be considered to young found themselves armed with bows and staves (along with very simple spell lessons). Near the center of camp, a larger tent stood out above the rest: adorned with emerald tassels and a white banner hanging from the center post. This was obviously the command tent, and one could expect to find the leaders inside- even despite all the building drama. It was at this point the warriors were on their own- with no orders to follow or immediate call to arms, they were left to their own devices.

Those who paid attention could see a collection of Viera separating themselves from the rest of the refugees and heading off into the woods- despite the protest of some of the others. Others could see a gather of soldiers around a fire, several wounded with arms and heads bandaged as they seemed to discuss something with great fervor... Though unable to hear much of their discussion, one could not ignore the hint of anger that lingered in the subtle whispers. Another rumor was quickly spreading about the camp: apparently the leaders were meeting at the command tent to discuss the fate of the expedition and possible change in command- which wasn't at all surprising since the declaration of a traitor at the helm. Many were discussing the possibility of the Summoner taking control, while others suspected the new comer Robin to take the reigns, perhaps it warranted investigation.

Whatever course of action the heroes decided, tonight finally seemed to grant them peace and time to gather their thoughts, one might suggest they use it wisely.
Saji Estate - Dojo
5/31/2015

"Things have gotten kinda crazy around here, haven't they?" A youthful, and spirited voice called out in the background, echoing subtly in the open air of the dojo who's only competition was the subtle grunts of Masahide as he swung his Shinai. It was that time of year when Masa's cousin -Yamato Saji- and his family paid a visit to the estate. Today marked the fourth year anniversary of Shinjiro Saji's passing, and without fail relatives would flock to the estate to pay their respects to the man and offer assistance to his widow and son. Always, Masa's mother turned down the offers, each with a polite bow and a friendly smile... But these were things that Masahide took no part in. His father had passed, and now he was responsible for the well-being and reputation of his family in Warakuma, customs and sympathy be damned.

Still... The boy would be lying if he said it didn't effect him somewhat, possibly the cause of his growing frustration as he attempted to perfect his strikes, though seeming to be of no avail. With one final downward strike, Masa paused, "I haven't noticed."

"Right. You haven't noticed several of your classmates disappearing and suddenly winding up in the hospital? Not even the one out of your class?" Yamato spoke, his tone clearly agitated though with a bit of jest.

"You're well informed." Masa replied, lifting his arm to wipe the accumulating sweat from his brow. He hadn't kept track of how long he'd been practicing, though from the mounting fatigue and soreness of his already worn muscles, he could fathom a guess... Then again, time seemed to drag on while Yamato was on a tangent.

"You know me, always up with the times. Plus, the updates on the news help... You sure you're ok?"

"I'm fine. I go to school, I work, I come home. Not much time to get kidnapped."

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever you say mister perfect," Yamato waved his hand dismissively with a sigh as he stood from his seated position, brushing off his jacket before looking back to his cousin, "So, Auntie wants me to take you around town. Anything in particularly interesting around here? This place isn't like Okinawa, and I haven't really spent much time outside of the estate."

"Not interested, thanks." Masa said flatly, reversing his grip on his weapon before making his way over to place it in the empty spot on the rack alongside the few others that sat perfectly aligned.

"Not like you have much of a choice. You really want your mother to yell at both of us? Nothing against your mother... But she can get scary when you piss her off."

At this, Masa couldn't help but chuckle. It had been a long time since he'd seen his mother truly angry, most of the time she was casting her usual smile as she tended to her business around the town and home. For what all she's suffered and been through, you'd never meet another with a more cheery disposition... Yet the memory of Yamato being scolded for knocking a set of dishes off the counter was always a rather amusing image. Her eyes narrowed in anger, her voice booming and echoing within the dinning area while Yamato stood there dumb-founded with a broom and dustpan. A priceless image.

"Uh huh. That's what I thought. Come on, let's go," Yamato remarked, having spotted the subtle smile that had grown across Masa's lips. In annoyance, the raven haired boy sighed, wiping his brow once more with his arm before following after his cousin.

"Let me hit the bath first, I'll meet you in town."

Warakuma- Streets

"So, what's the plan?" Yamato remark, lifting his arms up and behind his head before crossing them, seeming overly relaxed and at ease in contrast to Masa's rigid demeanor, his hands stuffed into his pockets with his gaze locked forward.

"This was your idea, idiot," Masa replied curtly, his agitation worn like a badge upon his button up shirt.

"Moody much? Still, it's good to get your ghostly self out into the sun every once in awhile," Yamato seemed pleased with his own retort as his gaze faced forward once more, wearing a triumphant smile as they continued to walk down the sidewalk, "Oh, by the way, don't dare check your phone. Any talk about going to your 'jobs' and I'll smash it on the pavement."

"I'll be sure to return the favor to your teeth if that happens." Yamato let out a audible laugh at Masa's threat, seeming to not be intimidated in the slightest. Onward they ventured, the contrasting duo roaming the city out of boredom.

'Damn it. How did I wind up missing one? If I hadn't wasted all my time salvaging these shops, maybe I could've focused better-' the thoughts continued to echo in Masa's mind. More than once he caught himself glancing over towards Kotori during class, a mixture of curiosity and anger settling slowly as he tried his best to avoid his jealousy. This was made even difficult as the other students began to whisper, their eyes also locking onto the girl as Masahide turned his gaze to the window nearest to him. As the teacher read off the result of the exams, he couldn't help but cringe as he heard his name. As class progressed, the boy's attention to his teacher's words were tentative- many times finding himself running through the questions that he could remember before realizing he was slowly dirfting off. It wasn't till then that Masa finally noticed the effect of his fatigue, cursing under his breath as he interlaced his finger, letting his elbow's rest atop his desk as his arms formed a sharp arch before him. All throughout class, he remained silent, answering only when spoken to by the teacher and no one else. As class came to a close, the boy quickly retrieved his bag and made for the exit.

Warakuma
After School

As Masa aimlessly roamed about the town, he made it a point to avoid his usual employers, taking the long route back to the Saji estate by foot. Unlike his normal school routine, today he hadn't glanced at his phone at all- instead his hands were stuffed inside his pockets and his eyes fixed forward. 'Maybe I'll take the day off tomorrow...' As he continued his trek, he fell back into his silence, ignoring the phone subtly vibrating and chiming in his pocket.
