That's basically what happened to the characters Fredrick Kato, Joan Croce, and Scott Riley. Though like I've said it might get too cramped in there. If you want to maybe do something with @Snagglepuss89's character separately, maybe they were in a squad and are sleeping in a different barracks room?
You're probably fine to hop in, although it might get cramped in the barracks. You might want to hold off until the second trials begins, unless you want to do things that are independent from the current parties?
That was a roller coaster of emotion, that you put me through, @GrafRoy Zeppeli.

When are we looking at starting?
@boomlover
So apply?

@Butch
Looks pretty good. I need to wait for my co-gm but I'm satisfied with your CS. Once he reviews it, I'll give you a S##.

OOC
Operation: Shadow Sabre

Operation Shadow-Sabre is a high-casual, high sci-fi roleplay set in a far future where humanity has colonized the middile of our Solar System, and is now in a civil war. In an effort to quell the rebellion, the central government has issued a top-secret program to turn humans (you, the players) into super-humanoids, fit for combat, research, reconnaissance, anything and everything. As a player, your character will be a Sabre, and you'll have the chance to personalize their dossier and even create the augmentations that he or she possesses. They can be just about any reasonable "super-human power" that would fit in a sci-fi setting, but that doesn't mean you have to be the next Master Chief or Adam Jensen. Expect lots of open-ended exploration, complex and malleable story lines, and lots of action!

Character Creation

Since this roleplay is High-Casual, anyone who applies will be expected to have read everything in this OP, as well as present a well written dossier in both quality and quantity. I will be accepting only a small but unknown (to you) number of applicants, so here's some tips if you want to give your chances that extra kick:

  • Post your application in the OOC. CS's posted in the Character tab will be automatically denied. If it's accepted, I'll give you a S## and you can put that in your CS and your CS in the Characters tab.
  • Don't reserve spots on the team or the Characters tab.
  • Don't give yourself a Sabre##. See point 1.
  • More content doesn't mean better content. I'm looking for unique characters that have plenty to read AND are very well written. Proper English grammar is mandatory.
  • Do not make your character a jack of all trades, or a John/Jane Doe. My co-gm @MercuryHg34 will be playing S02, which will be the team leader and well-rounded character.
  • For specializations, think of things that are common in military squads, as well as traditional rpg roles. Things like "tank" or "medic" are fine, but things like "information technology" or "stealth reconnaissance" or "fire-arms expert" among other things will also be encouraged. You can have a small pool of specializations that go well together, you don't have to only write one thing.
  • If two or more characters are too similar in specializations, I won't be taking all of them. So either try to write something unique, or write a better CS than the other "explosives" guy.
  • Lastly, the most grammatically correct, unique, and longest CS in the world will be denied if it does not adhere to the lore and conditions set by the rp. Carefully read everything (both what I've written and your own writing) to make sure your character and their backstory make sense in this specific story.

Rules

  • @Light is the be-all, end-all for all rulings. What I say after this OP trumps this rules list, but adhere to it anyway, as I will be enforcing it and adding to it unless something extraordinary pops up.
  • @MercuryHg34 is a co-gm, and should be respected as well.
  • No god-modding, metagaming, controlling other characters, posting conflicting events, etc. You will be asked and expected to go back and edit your posts to adhere to this rule if you break it.
  • Character interaction is expected. Do not just be another gun that follows the party around, even character conflict is character development.
  • Post regularly. Once a week is the bare minimum, but if you apply to this rp, I'll expect that you at least WANT to post more often than that. Let me know ahead of time if you can't post for a while, we all have lives and things that happen so I'll probably be ok if you let me know first.
  • The OOC can be used for off-topic discussion, but keep it short and sweet.
  • Disagreements between characters shouldn't mean disagreements between players. If a real argument starts to develop between players, take it to PM's and include me in that PM.
  • Cursing, violence, and other mature-like content is fine, as is character relations. Anything sexual should be played 1x1 in PM's. Leave me out of those PM's.
  • Breaking these rules frequently will of course result in being kicked out of the rp. Some rules may be more severe than others, at my discretion.
  • Lastly, have fun!
