So I see that there's a deadline, as well as a big group of roleplayers already apart of this, but I'm still curious if this is still open for others to join.

Yay or nay?
Who is next my dear friends? <3
I'm itching to post a reply because I have a great idea for what my character may do~!

But I'm going to wait for @Apokalipse so that Peizhi doesn't get left behind by a wall of RP posts. Or maybe I should wait for some more Dai Li action before Mei steps in...
Treated like property? That never is totally dictated by the era and place. Depends on the girl. If she is determined enough, sly enough, can control her husband, than she has power.

I mean, yes, if a woman can control her husband then she has power. But, that implies that she has to have control over a male figure in order to get what she wants because, individually, she has no power. I'm pretty positive that, depending on the designated fantasy, woman had no rights.

The term 'treated like property' simply means that the woman has no rights and that they are treated as such, i.e, a man in the relationship can say that they have ownership of their wife and it'd be absolutely, morally acceptable.
This might be a dumb question, but I'm curious. So I've been reading up about Lords/Kings/Queens and medieval nobility and such. I've found that there's different descriptions depending on the country and era, so I was wondering what exactly the duties were for the typical Lord/Lady of the feudal system in this roleplay. I read somewhere that Ladies of a court generally are just wives of Lords and were treated as property, would this apply to this roleplay?
Sorry for the short post~

I feel like I have a slight writer's block, but I just wanted to get Mei in there before she missed all the action!!

Also, I'm a little confused about the setting, is everyone fighting near to each other? How many Dai Li agents are there? How many rebels are there?

“Down with the Earthking! The avatar will return and liberate us from the oppression!”

It didn't take long to understand that there were rebels within the great walls of Ba Sing Se, which Mei thought negatively of since it hindered her ability to properly meet with the Earthking. Mei seemed to get around the crowd swiftly and comfortably, especially from doing it nearly every day. Although, an unusual crowd gathered and it was nearly impossible to see in-between the gathered people to see what all the commotion was about. In Ba Sing Se, especially the lower ring, a gathered crowd usually implied either someone with a cool talent busking or showing off, or a street fight. Hoping for the latter, Mei shoved her way with an eager smile to get closer to it all as others seemed to give more and more room to clear for a proper fight. Although, unlike any street fight, many people had a look of worry rather than throwing fists in the air and shouting out encouraging comments.

Mei made her way to get a clear view of what would be Dai Li agents assuming a very recognizable fighting stance. She stood defensively and carefully, assuming a stance where she could unsheathe her hidden, stowed fan. "Damn -- the tea shop can definitely wait until after this!"

Mei had very little experience with real battles, so she took the time to observe the diverse amount of fighters. One was clear to be a water bender, in which Mei had never witnessed in battle, protecting some short person that Mei struggled to decipher it's proper gender. A little ways away, more Dai Li agents seemed to engage in something, falling on top of another individual. Perhaps it was an arrest, maybe Mei was watching Dai Li attempting to apprehend criminals. Rocks were earthbended and shot clearly at someone, but Mei stood there without any intentions of running from this great opportunity to learn about the fighting style of those from different origins.
The collab has been posted! Lissa and Maddox certainly make a...dramatic pair xD <3

I love it, no lie. But Alice is here to RUIN IT ALL.

On a side note, I've learned that my face claim (Aslaug from Vikings) is a very hated character in the show and people are saying she's worse than Cersei and I'm a little hurt because she's SO BEAUTIFUL. Also, now I feel a little obligated to be an antagonist!!! Lol, but I'm so into this roleplay and I've thought of so many different scenarios that can happen.

Location; Abhainn's Ballroom
Interacting With; King Maddox Auclair(@Scarlet Loup), Lady Amaryllis Ward(@Filthy Mudblood)

If there was one thing that Alice would remember about Amaryllis, it would be the way she reacts when she's put in a situation that angers or annoys her. The way that she didn't return the fake smile, the explicit poker face that she maintained even after Alice implied rude gestures and passive-aggressive remarks. In this unpredictable interaction, with one that she held a strong love for, and the other, the opposite: a boiling hatred that stems from a held grudge, Alice seemed to be more focused on the apparent rivalry. Alice took pride in the way she looked for the evening, even if it seemed over-the-top with her laced, revealing gown, and her glimmering jewelry to match, attempting to take every moment and every situation to outshine her enemy.

Alice stood much closer to King Maddox than Amaryllis, from trying to show to Amaryllis that she was, in fact, growing more fond of the King than she was due to her absence, and from not wanting to lash out and attack Amaryllis savagely if things got out of hand. Alice has never been the type to deal with her anger well, becoming defensive and brutish if things were taken too far for her liking. Nevertheless, it was clear that Alice was taking enjoyment in the situation in which she made an attempt at seducing the King for a little more than a 'tasteful' moment, for annoying an old enemy, and for interrupting a relationship that Alice deniably thought could rekindle.

Alice gave a fake laugh at her comment, maintaining a perfectly, fake smile to match. "Oh, but if you're promised a life with riches and anything you wish for, you'll be gone in a heartbeat again, I'm sure." Alice gave a sly wink with the teasing remark as her gaze was locked onto her eyes, showing that she did not fear her cold stare, nor her presence, this time.

Alice fixed her posture and flicked her falling, barrel curls out from her face, moving into Amaryllis at an attempt to grab her hand,"I heard about your late husband, Lissa. I do hope his riches went to his dearly, beloved, widowed wife -- unless that is why you came back after disappearing for so long." Alice shot her a look of pity, though the comment was obviously insincere due to the conflict that she was continuing to stir up. The mention of her nickname that Alice used to call her all the time showed the pity she had for her, and was meant to prove to her that Alice thought lowly of her, as if she was only but a girl that Alice once befriended.
King Maddox and Lady Amaryllis' joint post. And then a reaction to my post. At least, for me that's what I'm waiting on.
