Yes we are, I've been mostly waiting for everyone else's posts. Speaking of, @Shadow Daedalus will you be doing a post?

Katrina gathered her pre-prepped equipment and she made sure that everything was in order before leaving her quarters. As she came out of the shaded interior of her quarters she was instantly met with the tropical heat. It was something she was used to – that doesn’t mean she likes it. She noticed some of the Europeans looking at her baffled as to how she could wear such covered clothing; in fact, they were baffled by the very notion of wearing long sleeves and pants in the tropics. The Europeans have only spent mere days at Matupi Headquarters and already she was hearing people complain about the heat. There were those that were used to it, the French being one of the many people who’ve grown accustomed to the heat from their time in Indochina along side the British and their colonies in Asia – the most prominent being the British Raj.

When she finally got to the rally point, they were given the final briefing. It was straightforward enough, giving them instructions, supplying gathered intelligence, and reminding them of the true objective. While they were there to take the Bagan temples, their main objective was to gather field test results from their experimental weapons. Her current concern would be how the Europeans, many of whom are new to tropical climates, would react to the extremes of Jungle warfare. The majority of the people in Squad-914 have never been in a jungle, let alone fought in one. Her train of thought was once again derailed by her memories of the Japanese, though she has never fought the Italians, Germans, and Spaniards, she could almost see them as inconsequential when compared to fighting the Japanese in the jungles and tropics. Out of the three European allies that the Japanese have in the area, she knows the Spaniards the best, her people fought against the Spanish colonization of the Philippines for over three hundred years.

The Spanish occupation was nothing short of oppressive. They slaughtered many native warriors, enslaved the remaining population, put down rebellions, and eradicated much of the culture that Filipinos used to practice. Even the name of the country, 'Philippines', is a name given to them by their Spanish conquerors. Katrina could only imagine what the Spain of today could do. She could almost imagine her homeland being a Spanish colony again after the war, ruined by some sort of power struggle in Asia among the Axis. She keeps fighting, safe in the knowledge that the Filipino resistance would fight to prevent this from happening. As long as the fight for independence continues in the Philippines she will also continue to fight, after all, she has a promise to keep.

Alright, the post is up everyone! Sorry this took a bit longer than usual, hopefully this is good enough. This should give you all a way to contribute to the situation. I will say this, it's not a lost cause but we may have a lot of casualties due to the bad drop and intel underestimating our enemy (which will be a recurring theme so hang on to your pants).

Michael and a handful of other troopers from other platoons pushed towards the ’ant-hill. He waded through the thick swamp and smoke, the entire area was engulfed in fire and noise. The moment he broke through the smoke, he saw three mg emplacements lined up on the base of the hill in a trench of sorts, around the trench was a series of barricades and what would most likely be enemy explosive anti-personnel mines.

The enemy defenders noticed him and started opening fire, he took a glancing hit on his right shoulder piece. He dove to the ground and rolled behind cover, he leaned over to return fire, quickly being suppressed by the enemy static defenses. The other troopers would be coming out of the smoke soon; he was about five meters from the entrenched position. Without hesitation, Michael pulled a pin on a frag grenade and turned his jet boosters on and hopped to a nearby tree branch while lobbing the grenade into the enemy trench from above.

Before the alien defenders even realized what the grenade meant, they were engulfed in its fiery blast. Troopers began emerging from the smoke and quickly attempted to take over the enemy positions. Without thinking, one of the troopers rushed into the enemy position instantly meeting his maker via enemy explosive defense catching four of his squad mates in the blast leaving two with minor injuries and one in critical condition.

”Shit! Okay, anyone with a jetpack make your way to the trench. The rest of you wait for the engineers to clear this area!” Troopers went up and over the barricades and enemy traps, among those left behind were heavy infantry and marksmen carrying heavy equipment such as explosives and extra ammo.

He put his and up to the side of his head to start transmitting to the rest of the company tried his radio, ”Easy, I need you to sound off! If you’ve been knocked off course, regroup with us on the grid coordinates I’m about to send to your displays! I need every available trooper, we have a lot of wounded and some are in critical condition. Does anyone copy?”

As soon as he was done talking he noticed more of the alien combatants charge down the hill for an assault, it was almost as if they had an infinite reserve of manpower. Michael, looked down and signaled for marksmen and support gunners to take up favorable positions to suppress the while the regroup for the push up the hill. The situation was deteriorating and it seemed that Dog and Charlie weren’t doing so good either.

Observed the enemy troop movement from the tree canopy, judging their positions from all the yellow lines of tracers coming from the enemy defensive positions. There were squads that had the miserable luck of landing on the hill surrounded by the enemy. The drop was a shit-show.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Baker company and Able company were in the thick of it, some of their equipment landed in the wrong place and some of the equipment they have was damaged during the drop. They were providing what little mortar fire they could, but reinforcing enemy forces encountered their position and engaged. The platoon that was supposed to be acting as their security team was heavily outnumbered to the point where some of the mortar crew had to join the fray. The exchange of fire was intense but they were holding.

The amount of tracers, explosions, and yelling was deafening. The mortar crews couldn’t use their mortars on the hill, they had to use it against the reinforcements otherwise they’d get overrun quite quickly. The support companies were giving the enemy everything they had and they weren’t in a well dug-in location yet. If anything, the fighting here is just as intense if not more intense than that on the hills. "This is Able company requesting immediate assistance, we are surrounded by enemy forces and are under heavy assault! Any available troopers respond!"
Righty tighty, to address the question for limits in terms of injury, it should at least be humanly possible for someone to survive from it (Adding on top the special case of the armour and such). From his description it's more like he got knocked out through physical means, which from what I've read from the internet (since I'm no doctor) is okay if it's just a few minutes - more than a few hours and you have serious problems. I can ask my relative about this since he's a nurse so I can confirm realistic injuries, but he's not always available.

In my opinion it should be an easy fix (and as of right now has been fixed I believe).

For the story, I will try to advance it tomorrow, but just so all of you are informed of my situation, expect a slower pace in posting schedule from me. I usually write better in a laptop and I am only borrowing one as of now and I can't guarantee that I will always have this tool on hand. If you find yourselves wanting to post something additional, you have my go ahead and it might give me more ideas for the next post. If you have any questions or concerns, you can come straight to me seeing as my Co-GM is quite buggered down at the moment. I will try to answer through my phone, but I make it a point never to write an IC post with my phone for quality reasons.
Understood, what I meant is if you had plans to encounter anything on the way I do have things in mind if that won’t interfere with anything you might already have planned. Like the support companies Able and Baker or enemy troop movement an behavior - basically, things that make the scale of the battle just that little bit bigger.

Though I am without a laptop these days so posts from me may take a bit as I’m borrowing someone else’s to make posts and they’re not always available.
Good post! Although, how do you plan for him to rejoin Easy?
@Shadow Daedalus

There are plenty of opportunities for him to join later, right now I think he still has internet problems at home. I'll ask him about it just to check on him. Personally, I also feel it's getting quite dragged out a bit, though I am known to be a little impatient.

On the other hand, how is everyone else's posts coming along? @DeadDrop@krismer22
Post is up!
