Nothing. I've seen a lot of posts about people worrying they won't be taken serious because of their low post count, or clarifying that they've been roleplaying for years in spite of said post count, but I've never actually seen anybody treat anybody differently for having a low post count.

In my experience, the best way for getting an interest check attention boils down to two things.

1. Be clear and specific about your idea. You don't have to outright say "It's a quest from point A to point B" but the less vague you are, the better. Having a TL;DR at the bottom sometimes helps.

2. Make the formatting pretty! Centered images, nicely sized paragraphs, hiders, and proper spelling and syntax make people go apeshit. I've seen a few interest checks tank because they're giant textwalls, in spite of being pretty good ideas.
you disappoint me.
I REFUSE TO BE BUMPED DOWN BY KOREAN ROBOTS

A roleplay inspired partially by this thread, this thread, and the general tone and pseudo 8-bit style of MSPA. I don't wanna write much for such an idea so unlikely to get any bites, but here's the gist of it.

• The world is ambiguously in an 80's videogame. Names are in caps, Everything is pixelly and 8-bit, inventories have a limit of nine objects (No matter the size) and experience and gold shoot out of corpses.

• Every post will be accompanied by an image, be it a shitty MS Paint drawing or several drawings to convey a bunch of different actions. As a result, we'll probably not have the fastest pace. For examples of the kinds of pictures I'm talking about, check out the inspirations cited.

• The tone of the roleplay will be lighthearted and humorous. If there's a lich who's enslaved a gentle race of innocents, his name will probably be BONECOCK THE PUTRESCENT or something stupid.

• Our characters will all be some variation of classic fantasy archetypes. If there's an archer, he's probably wearing green and has a hood. Why do all archers wear green hoods? Hopefully, this will be explained in the RP.

• This idea is less about actual roleplaying and more about having a fun roleplaying-based forum game. The only reason this post isn't in Spam is because I need you to actually be funny for this to work, and to establish a certain level of commitment a forum game lacks.
Depersonalization disorder doesn't really have any specific medication, nor do "occasional mental breakdowns", though the former is treated usually with anti-anxiety meds like Prozac and Klonopin.
happy birthday bagginses.
The title made me assume this RP would be about humans beating the piss out of pokemon in underground fight rings.

Interested, but not as much as I would have been if that were the case.

>Aren't elves more like gaelic Fair Folk in this setting?
Goblins, elves, fairies, and other sorts of troublemaking imps from European folklore all fall under the "Fair Folk" umbrella from classical mythology. I was talking modern fantasy D&D style goblins: Pests that attack in numbers and at night, which seems to also be the case for our elves, which conduct terror attacks and kidnappings because evil.

>The world's still magical and full of superstition, duh.
That's all well and good, but I wasn't asking how he justifies worshipping and killing for the moon so much as he justifies being a templar-style holy knight without any active crusade. Is he supposed to be a knight in a more figurative sense?

>Well, if one isn't ready to put up with occasional human raid why bother playing elves at all?
The point I was making was that it seems like an elf -- a driven-back species outnumbered and outarmed by humans -- who is killing humans for that broad of a reason, would probably get killed pretty quickly, or at least become a much bigger target.

Welcome to the guild! If you've got an interest in WW2, I'd definitely recommend the Nation Roleplay section.
