"Then apologize" said Penny simply.

All Marlene did was say nothing but tilt her head to the floor. She was in a way depressed slightly, or at least it looks like it. How is she going to apologize though? When will she apologize? These two are the questions of the evening. She didn't know what to do or even how to do it.

Marlene just looked so... sad.

Out of place rather.

Suddenly, Marlene gasps slightly as Penny comes in for a soft hug. At first it seemed awkward for a few seconds, but then... from the coldness that lurked in her heart, slowly rose a small flame of warmness, which slowly grew the longer she hugged. Marlene then wraps her arms around Penny and began to sob in happiness. She remembers why she chose this guild... because of family and friends. They were both right.

"Things are never going to be calm in this guild, Marlene. So better pick what seems like the best moment and do it" she said, "Cause if you're waiting for a calm moment you'll be 80 before it happens."

Marlene simply nods in between sniffs as she begins to slowly pucker down.

"*Sniff* I guess I-*sniff* will apologize to him tomorrow... *sniff* morning." she answers back as he continues hugging.

Even Samir smiled as she sees the two embrace. And that teasing she did earlier? That was to make light out of the situation, to make things happy and cheerful? It may've been not the best, but she mean't good intentions. She slowly stands up as she brushes herself off.

"Very well." she remarks, "I guess we're all suited aren't we? Marlene, do you have a room here by any chance?"

"I-I do actually." she responds, "Down on the second floor, room 204."

"Well uh... is it fine that I stay in your room till I get my own?"

The Crystal Maiden looks up at the Heavenly Archer... and grins while closing her eyes.

"Sure."

And that's something about RPing. Sometimes things don't go according to plan. And when that happens, you adapt. It's one of the many facets of cooperative story writing that makes it fun. And I also bring back the character flaw thing. She knows it exists, she knows it's happened once, and now she has to remain aware that it doesn't happen again. Who knows, maybe you don't want to do it again now, but later down the road? You never know, maybe you'll change your mind. In the end, we're all contributing to a story and all that, and things like Marlene's potential berserker state happening again creates an amazing internal dynamic.

Of course lol. And I do agree with you. This is now officially a flaw for Marlene and now she must be careful, and weather I bring it up or not as a player will be my choice, but none of the less who knows. And it does give character and drama to her, not like bland and unemotional. She can be a rocket full of different emotions, positive and negative, without the bipolarness involved. I feel some interesting stuff will come down the line.

Ah, but it's been written as a character flaw now, so even though the writer never intends it to happen again, it's there and the character KNOWS it could happen again. That's the beauty of writing.

She has gotten through like... emotional spikes through this day alone lol. First her goofy one, then her flirtatious part, her vicious agressiveness part, and now her sad/depressed part. Good lord I never intended all these emotions to happen in a single day XD

@Caits Well she won't though. Again, one time thing, unless in a battle with a real REAL enemy. Think of it as the Juvia vs Meredy scenario or any actual enemy really.
