Outside Cleveland Metroparks Zoo

Back home in Brooklyn, things were much more calm. Despite the occasional shooting and angry arguments over the remaining of the city. Although Lee was one of the few people who wanted to change the name, he never engaged in any of the fights. All and all, Cleveland and Brooklyn were two very different places. Lee was on his couch, in his newly furnished apartment. His parents had finally kicked him out, but they were still babying him. He could not get a job, although he had graduated from college, and had a job offer still pending.

Lee sighed, for 2 weeks now, his parents had been paying his rent, electricity, groceries, and everything else. He basically sat on his couch watching TV all day. Who could blame him, with what he could do, working with people in such a setting would be...dangerous.

"We are bringing you a live conference from The Cleveland City Hall on the current crisis, the correspondent will join us in a few minutes." Lee glanced at his TV, this was what he was talking about, Cleveland was just crazy. He stood up and walked over to his bedroom. On his bed was his leather jacket, Lee grabbed it and walked out the door. If he was gonna be a hero, he was gonna have to go were the action was.

Outside Cleveland Metroparks Zoo

Lee landed on a fairly tall skyscraper not to far from the zoo. It had taken him about 20 minutes or so to get here, transforming back and forth between human and Ifrit. He hated that about this power, he had only a few minutes to use it, he would have to think of a way to bypass it.

On the ground bellow though was the real problem. The animals from the zoo had been let out, but there was woman leading them, real talk one, as if she was their queen. The fact the animals were attacking people that passed by, was the problem. There were already many "heros" here, or so it seemed. There was one lady with a cannon, it seemed, and some armor, it was all together pretty cool. There was also a tall, pale looking guy with a revolver.

Lee was not sure what to do, the one lady had already confronted the criminal. It was hero code not to interrupt a hero during negotions, he had watched enough TV shows to know that. Hopefully the other hero's in the area would realize that also, and stay back, provide back up for her if necessary. It felt good to play it smart for a change, although that is what he did, most of the time.

Looks good, but the one thing that's bugging me is how he just happens to have a magical revolver without any real explanation of where it came from or how he obtained it. Minor issue, I'm accepting him anyways.

I'm going to give this a few more hours before starting the IC.

Sleep, is a beautiful thing. It refreshes the brain, allowing the human to wake up ready for the next day. But there are some who can not sleep, those who are plagued with insomnia. It us an unfair disorder, and it leaves many not ready for the day ahead of them. Lee truly did pity these people, those who did not have the opportunity to experience sleep. Unfortunately, there were those who get too much sleep, another problem that was just as bad as the latter. Those who can not get up for the next day, those who missed the next day entirely. Lee was one of those people.

At first, when he woke up, he felt as if nothing had changed. He had woken up in his apartment, and it was just how he left it. The rays of the sun shined through his windows blinds. Lee glanced at the clock, hoping that he was not late for his interview, unfortunately, his hopes were dashed. The clock read 12:13 PM, his interview was 9:00 AM, Lee frowned and looked around in confusion. His father was supposed to call him to wake up, just in case his alarm did not.

"Shit!" Lee yelled as he jumped out of his bed and ran to the bathroom. He looked at himself in the mirror and saw that his hair was greasy, long, and unkempt.

"What the hell." Was all he could say before he tried to wash his face, hoping to get rid of his morning groginess.

Unfortunately, that was not the answer to his problems. He couldn't even use his sink, the pipes groaned, but nothing came out. Lee kicked the sinks cabinet in fusturation. He walked out of his bathroom and into the living room. Everything was wrong, were his parents, why the hell was his water shut off, he payed for it the day before. Lee sat on his couch and tried to turn on the TV, unfortunately, it seemed that his electricity was gone also. Week one of living alone and things had already going to shit.

Lee jumped when he heard the door bell. He glanced back in confusion, he was not expecting anyone today. Lee shrugged and walked over to the door, he tried to use the peephole, but it was to dusty to look through. He opened the door in fusturation, "Hello." He said as he came face to face with a beautiful woman.

"I'm petitioning for the legalization of being able to eat on our streets in residential locations. Would you like to sign this?" she said with a smile.

Lee raised an eyebrow, he really did not care about the legalization of eating in residential areas at the moment. "Hey, I'm not in the mood to argue about how stupid this is, but ima sign this anyway. " He said quickly before taking her clipboard. He quickly read over the signatures of others to find his own place to sign. He then saw that the dates read 2019, not 18. Lee dropped the clipboard and slammed the door. He stumbled over to his couch in disbelief. What the hell had happened? Was he being pranked by someone? Lee shut his eyes and hopped he was having one of those dreams were you woke up in a dream.

"Well good for you, now can you tell me what the hell is going on?"
"Boy, did I not tell you I don't remember anything."
"If I don't remember anything, then you should know something, you are me."
"How so? It would be a shame to be you boy."
"I wouldn't be talking if I were you, which I am...I guess."
"Automations would be so much easier to converse with that you. "
"Bah!"

If we do A (which is much preferred on my part), I would like to play Pearl if that's an option. If not, oh well, I'll make a character. My vote is still cast for A, because as you said, it would be easier to stick to canon.

If we do B, ditto (Pearl), but I wouldn't want to make an original character- I don't think I could come up with a plausible creation, if that makes any sense, that would fit into canon.

I'm not sure it really matters to me which version of the story we do, I guess A would be more plausibly canon-y but I doubt anyone cares about that.

For B, would we be restricted to making gems similar to monsters on the show, or can we just do whatever? (although making gems based on monsters in the show sounds fun.) Would Beach City be involved or would we be staying away from that? Would we be using a lot of locations in the show, like Mask Island or the heaven beetle's temple or whatever?

Yes, you have to be a former corrupted Gem, but you can make your own. It use cannon, if you want. And we will see many of the cannon sites in this RP. Maybe some original
