Jūkō is the living representation of laziness. Apathy, as one might expect, has ingrained itself in his personality so heavily that he has become an avatar for the concept--a living, breathing form given to laziness and listlessness. Whether it is through his words or his actions, the Inuzuka known as the 'Sleeping Dog' has attained a notorious reputation as one of the most sporadically unreliable and painfully uncaring individuals in all of the Land's. And even though he has attained the rank of Genin, even he cannot escape the trappings of his own personality.
To understand the true depths of Jūkō's apathetic nature, one has to take a look at his personal philosophy. Unlike many other Ninja, he has almost no wish to gain power or increase the holdings of the privilege granted by his title. The hunger within his stomach that calls for him to reach for the top only plays second fiddle to his overwhelming desire to just relax and avoid the trouble of getting up to do anything.
This trails into his view on the world, which is somewhat cynical and entirely reminiscent of the 'rebellious teenager' he is. Jūkō finds almost no purpose in being bothered to 'try'. The way he sees it, things will eventually work themselves out in one way or the other, and whatever happens is going to happen whether or not he does anything to help or impede the events. This view is somewhat naive considering his powers and abilities, which have already changed the face of the Inuzuka somewhat, yet he seems to stick to the idea. When pressed to a philosophical discussion about it, however, Jūkō's almost invariably decides that it would be too much effort to defend his point of view; he often simply goes silent or falls asleep as the other person talks.
The apathy that the 'Sleeping Dog' embodies is not limited to personal pursuits and his world-view; it also relates to the way that he acts and behaves in social situations. When he entertains visitors, he is almost never an integral part of the conversation. He will nod off into a haze, stare off into space, or just shake his hand dismissively when people attempt to talk to him about important events. When they do get him to join in the conversation, Jūkō rarely takes things seriously. He will often make sarcastic, joking comments, even in front of a high ranking ninja, even the Hokage. Others may find it rude, but some are entertained by his glib remarks and surprisingly fast tongue.
Despite being considered a lazy, purposeless individual by many, almost all Genin know that there is a reason Jūkō is called the 'Sleeping Dog. When something particularly dire happens that he simply cannot ignore, Jūkō suddenly reveals that he is incredibly capable, and that he is more than willing to obliterate those that stand in his way. He will do this as quickly as he can in order to avoid troubling himself and wasting time. If he should be brought to battle, Jūkō generally has two modes of thinking. On one hand, he could have been ordered by a higher ranking Ninja, in which case he accepts that he has no choice but to use his abilities. When this happens, he often cracks jokes, teases his opponents, or uses his sarcastic wit to entertain himself as he does what he was ordered to do. However, if he is attacked or roused from his rest by anyone other than a teacher himself, Jūkō reveals a dark part of his personality. He becomes incredibly irritated that someone would bother him and force him to move, and his attacks become kill-focused beyond what most would expect from him. This is what earned him the title of 'Sleeping Dog', and it remains the sole reason why many dare not to cross him.

While Jūkō's greatest dream is to find a comfortable place to lay his head without the nagging voice of a teacher to rouse him. Playing second fiddle to this is his secret dream to train Burakku to become the best ninken in all the world; this consists mainly in having Burakku become a butler if anything else. But in the back of his kind, in its deepest depth, lies the fear of his own fertility, the very thing he succumbs to in battle.

Jūkō's style of fighting presents an interesting dichotomy from his usual apathetic self. As was mentioned, if he is forced to fight without a command, he suddenly becomes kill focused. His second nickname, the 'Wild Dog' comes into play here as he adopts the primal fury of a dog and seemingly goes feral. While his senses are on full overdrive, allowing him to adopt a predators mentality, his speed is the focus of his fighting style. His close to mid-range Combination Ninjutsu techniques in a non-stop bombardment fashion is what makes his not only a dangerous opponent, but a dangerous ally.

"When a member of the Inuzuka Clan reach a certain age, they are introduced to a dog and shinobi and their dog are practically inseparable. Using Cooperation Ninjutsu, such as the Fang Passing Fang or Fang Rotating Fang techniques amongst others, a duo takes advantage of their teamwork and their sharp claws and teeth. Members of this clan, much like their canine partners, have greatly enhanced senses especially the sense of smell. By concentrating chakra to their noses, this sense is amplified to an even greater extent allowing the user to be able to detect, track and monitor targets from fairly long distance away."

The Hiden's greatest strength is in its duality, giving an Inuzuka the ability to work with thier canine partner to the point of being supernatural. Not only can an Inuzuka communicate with thier canine partner, but they can preform the devastating combination jutsu they are known for. In addition, an Inuzuka gains the primal instincts and evolutionary senses and physical abilities that a dog does, making them all the more formidable.

In a worst case scenario, where an Inuzuka's canine partner is injured or out of commission is where they are at thier weakest. What makes an Inuzuka so powerful is thier combination jutsu, take that away, and one could significantly slash an Inuzuka's power.
