Bio

Hello everyone. I'm Dutch, a mother of a 12-year old boy and I love both rp-ing and writing.

I've been writing and roleplaying in Dutch and English since 2002. I joined the RolePlayer Guild in 2014 and since May 2020 I'm one of the contests mods.

There are times I don't have much creative energy and will be silent for a while, but in the very least I will try to keep the writing contests going.

If I haven't replied in a while, feel free to poke me. Genuinly, I sometimes need reminders that you are waiting for a reply. I don't ghost on purpose, I promise. Time is just a weird thing sometimes, and if something happened 3 days ago, 3 weeks ago or 3 months ago can feel pretty much the same and I often don't realize how much time passed since my last reply. And if I read your reply and accidentally closed the tab there is a good chance I might forget I was supposed to reply because I lost the visual reminder T_T

Benjamin sat down and looked around. He missed having Simon around, but there was another that was late. The girl he had seen in one of the corridors who had gotten her medicine evaluated. Maybe she forgot the time, but he was certain someone of the staff would check up on her if she missed lunch. They were quite adamant on everyone being present during mealtimes. Social gatherings were good for the healing process or something like that. They always had excuses like that to explain why their orders had to be followed, it was always 'good for the healing process'.

Marc finished up the last cup with pills and waited for the soup to be handed out before making his round. Most of these pills had to be taken with food, and soup could act as both food and the liquid needed to swallow the pills. His eyes moved to Sara and lingered there. It was nice to see her work.
"Of course that's okay," Blaze said. "I invited you.
The Dragonite went to the cart and started to fill a large bowl with sweet and spicy berries, enough for Blaze, the cute little Charmander and herself. She glanced to Saber, that dragon had his own small friend to take care of. She went back to the other two and put down the food on the ground.
Blaze let Charcoal on the ground again and sat down, taking one of the spicy berries.

Mindy gave her Lapras and Onix their food and flashed a smile at Tyson before she turned back. She saw her Dunsparce was sharing a meal with Michael's Cyndaquil and that her Dragonite was taking care of herself, and judging by the food she took she was taking care of some of the others too. Which meant her next Pokémon to feed was her Decidueye.

The Lapras smiled at the Flygon. "Good morning," she greeted him, before taking a bite from her food.
The Onix only gave him a greeting nod.

Michael joined Niccia and smiled at her. "I'll bring some food to our Arcanines," he offered as he took two more cans of canine-Pokémon food and filled the bowls. He looked around, almost all Pokémon seemed to have food now, after Saruya all his Pokémon would have their breakfast and then he would eat too.
He went to Saruya and Harry, who seemed to enjoy being together. "Here you go, you two."
"Thank you," Saruya replied. "Is it okay if we go for a walk afterwards?"
"I'm fine with that," he glances at Harry, "I'll ask Niccia too, but I think we'll wait for uncle to be up and ready before go, so there is time for a walk."

Anthony looked at the bowl with seeds and flew down. The seeds looked good, so he flew to the cart where Niccia was. "Can I get some seeds too?" he asked after he landed on the edge of the cart.

"Yes," Merlin began, but then he noticed Mindy. "No, he corrected. "I do not think she knows yet, but Michael and Andy do."
With renewed interest he looked at Mindy, she had been talking with Gavin a lot, but he didn't think she was aware of his true identity. It would be interesting to see her reaction to it. He had missed Michaels reaction, hopefully he would be able to observe how this human would handle the truth.
"I'll just have water," Benjamin said, looking at the male demon, and turned his attention to Duncan after that. "Let's do that someday." As much as he enjoyed the company of the girls, it would be nice to go out with Duncan too. He seemed like a nice guy after all. He looked at Steph sitting next to him. "And if we feel like going out again, we can go too." A place where she would be accepted without having to uphold an illusion had to be easier for her too. And now he know where this place was he could get here without having to make it a double date. Which, if this hadn't been a work lunch, this could have been one already. He smiled a bit to himself, he wasn't sure if Steph would feel the same way about it, but he liked to think about it like that.

Ethan unpacked his own sandwich and took a bite from it. "I've agreed to meet the others at the old church tonight at ten. We will visit a park where vamps seem to hang out in the beginning of the night and observe them for a bit. Probably kill one too, but since I'm still a beginner they're taking it slow. Yesterday they had me practise on a dummy to get the stake in the heart at the first attempt and then I had to finish one of those bastards they had caught the night before, it had killed several humans the past week and it was chained to a wall. He hissed and promised to kill us all when he'd get out." He shrugged. "Didn't give him the chance. Then we patrolled and they showed me how to recognize vampires and we even battled one, but it was Morrison he finished him off."
As he talked about the last night, to give Gaia an idea of what she could expect, he ate from the sandwich. It was decent, but nothing like his mother made. That reminded him he probably should visit his parents, they lived in the city after all, although they probably didn't know about all the other beings that lived there too.
No problem, take your time with it. My posting varies from daily to weekly depending on how time I can spend on RP's and how I feel, so I won't check how long it takes for you to reply.
Benjamin looked from Ray to Ari and back at Ray. "After lunch," he said. "If that works for you two. We can eat fast and leave before they start cleaning up, that should give us some time to talk before we're needed for whatever they have in mind for our treatment." He rolled his eyes at his last comment, the treatment was ridiculous, but not going through with it wouldn't help him get out of this place.
Several conversation topics went through his head, the question had been asked in an impuls, he hadn't prepared any questions and he didn't know yet what he really wanted to know. But he'd figure it out during lunch. He too entered the cafetaria and went to a table to the side, hopefully they would be able to talk without being disturbed.

Marc turned to Sara and had a smile for her. "We're just beginning with the soup, you haven't missed much. I'm doing the medication, if you could start handing out the soup, that would be great." He looked at his list again and filled a new cup, but remembered he had to tell her something and looked at her again. "Oh, and I talked to your aunt, we can go out after work, if you wish."

Andy listened as his patient answered his questions, nodding occasionally. There would be people who wouldn't like to hear he was a drifter, but it was really one of Andy's least concerns. As for the fall, the explanation was far from satisfying, but it would have to do.

"Okay then, Alastor," he said as he wrote down the name on the file and put it on the table. "A nurse will come to get some personal data for the file and to see if there is anyone we should contact. If you are in pain let the nurses know, they will give you something for it, and if you have any questions, just ring the bell and they will come. You will also get something to eat and I will come back for an evaluation after that." He began to walk through the room to the door. "I have more patients to see and treat and be awesome while doing that, so I will have to leave you." At the door he held up his finger. "Remember, no running around while I'm gone and try not to fall and break more bones, but if you do decide to fall, I did a great job on the cast so that won't break."

At this point he couldn't do much more for Alastor, but he would be back to see how he was doing.
"Gifted," Benjamin repeated as he examined the available soups. "Now that is a term I can live with. It has a positive sound to it. Ah look, tomato-cream soup with bread and butter." He closed his menu with a smile on his face and turned to Steph first and then around the table. He was curious what Harriet would order for Steph, but time would tell. He leaned back in the chair, examining the place a little closer. The decoration was nice and there weren't many customers yet, but he could imagine the general atmosphere of this place.

The girls had already said they had crowd anxiety, so Benjamin turned to Duncan. "I'd like to see this place when it's busy too, meet some of the regular clients. Maybe we can come back here with Mike and Ethan." He paused. "Or maybe just with Mike. I'm not sure how Ethan will like this place."

Ethan went to the cafeteria. Several agents were having lunch, some ate a warm meal, others had settled for a sandwich or some pasta. He went to the cooled counter and looked at the available sandwiches. Gaia had requested cheese, so he picked up one of those. And just in case he took a second one too, Gaia was a big girl after all. He settled for a chicken curry and with lunch taken care off, he went outside again.

He walked to the bench and handed Gaia her sandwich. "Here you go," he said, sitting down himself. "Enjoy."
With so many people and pokémon together I keep wondering "did I post for everyone? Did I forget anyone?" XD

Also, I came across another name, in the RP Gavin had rescued a Shiny Deino from Team Rocket. Her name was SmallFang, but she gave Gavin permission to rename her. I don't recall if Gavin did, but that's what I rediscovered yesterday ^_^

Also, I finally named all of Mindy's Pokémon \o/
"Of course," Mindy said. "Yeah, Pokémon can be a lot more than used in battles, which seems to be the main focus of trainers nowadays. Battles and 'catch them all'. I think some start too young too. Professor Bansing-" she glanced to Michael, "-Michaels uncle, he taught Pokémon Ethics at the Academy. I learned a lot from him." She flashed a smile at Gavin and then turned to her Pokémon. She saw her Dunsparce, Charizard and Dragonite were socialising with Lytse and some of Gavin's Pokémon, her Lapras and Onix stayed to themselves in the corner where she had released them - her Lapras couldn't move and Onix kept her company - and her Decidueye walked to some trees where a Michael's Fletchling had come from. "Okay you guys! Who wants to eat?"
All of them showed their approval, so she went to the cart with the food to see what was available and who would like what. She smiled when she noticed the Blissey had added two large cans, one with seafood and one with rockfood, special recipes for salt-water Pokémon and rocktypes. Those two would be the first she'd feed.

When Michael joined her at the cart she smiled at him and walked away with two big bowls and the cans. Michael rummaged through the cart and filled a bowl with some dry food and a selection of berries for Lytse and Marie. The Cyndaquil and Dunsparce were small and knew each other, they could share a bowl. And he filled a bowl with canned food suitable for canine Pokémon, this one would be for Missy and Sparky.
With the two bowls he went first to where Missy and Sparky were playing. "Here you too, eat a bit. You can play more afterwards," he said to them. Then he went to Lytse and Marie. "There you go," he said to them."

The Charizard picked the small Charmander up. "You should try," he said. "I had to wait until I evolved before I could fly."
"Me too," the Dragonite chipped in, watching Mindy bring food to the Onix and Lapras. "I will go see what they have, do you want anything, Blaze?"
"Something spicy," the Charizard reacted and he looked at Charcoal. "And you? Will you eat with us?"
As the Dragonite waited she looked towards Saber, the other Dragon in the company. It was nice to see Pokémon of her type.

"Yes, thank you, Anthony said as he sat on the roof. "I am fully healed." He watched the two trainers who had began distrubting food. There were lots of mouths to feed, so he'd wait for his turn. Maybe he could eat with Jycii. And that Decidueye. Merlin didn't seem to be interested in food, but Anthony assumed he had been hunting during the night and had his stomach full.

Merlin stared at the Noibat and let the silence between them linger for a moment. "Michael is a good kid, he takes good care of his Pokémon and Mew. He's the nephew of my owner, I've seen the boy grow up and I will vouch for him. You can trust him"
He noticed the Decidueye standing at the base of the tree and looked down. "Timothy," he greeted the other owl-like Pokémon. "It's been a while."
"Hello Merlin, are you eating with us?"
"I have eaten, he assured the Decidueye, "but depending on the plans of these trainers, we may be able to catch up. Once my trainer is up, I will go sleep."
Benjamin had a smile for Ray and looked briefly at Ari and his eyes lingered for a moment on Dia, until he looked back at Ray. While Ari was the aggressive one, she had behaved rather well and his fear for her started to subside. "Would you allow me to talk with Ari?" he asked, "since she is a part of you I want to get to know her too." He looked straight at Ari. "If she agrees to give back control to you after we're done talking of course." He remembered Dia explaining Ari wanted to be in control and would even fight Ray for it. It probably wasn't safe to allow Ari take control, as far as he knew she could be aggressive and was unpredictable, but if he ever wanted to understand her, he needed to get acquainted with her.
