Bio

Hello everyone. I'm Dutch, a mother of a 12-year old boy and I love both rp-ing and writing.

I've been writing and roleplaying in Dutch and English since 2002. I joined the RolePlayer Guild in 2014 and since May 2020 I'm one of the contests mods.

There are times I don't have much creative energy and will be silent for a while, but in the very least I will try to keep the writing contests going.

If I haven't replied in a while, feel free to poke me. Genuinly, I sometimes need reminders that you are waiting for a reply. I don't ghost on purpose, I promise. Time is just a weird thing sometimes, and if something happened 3 days ago, 3 weeks ago or 3 months ago can feel pretty much the same and I often don't realize how much time passed since my last reply. And if I read your reply and accidentally closed the tab there is a good chance I might forget I was supposed to reply because I lost the visual reminder T_T

The walk to the store would be a short one, but Andy still welcomed the conversation. "Welcome to the club," he stated. "I forgot to eat lunch on several occasions, especially when the emergency department was very busy. I've also had times I was so immersed in work or gaming at home that it was closer to midnight than dinner time when I realised I hadn't eaten yet." He glanced to the side. "At least you had a good breakfast and I doubt your body has any underlying health issues, so you'll be fine with skipping a meal, unlike me. Humans can potentially last up to three weeks without food, although it's generally not advised to do that, but we will only last three days without drinking, so keep that in mind."

Truthfully, Andy didn't even know whether or not Alastor was interested in these facts about the human body or maybe he had read about it already, but it Andy considered it important enough to mention anyway.

He gestured to the door of the small supermarket to let Alastor know that was where they were going. A few people left with full bags and an old lady entered the store. The shopping carts were inside, close to the automatic gates that would give entrance to the store.
Benjamin watched Steph leave. Why was she sorry for being like that? He had seen the changes in her body language; her posture, the way she held her head, the movements of her tail, the way she turned away from him before speaking. It looked to him she was affected more by this than she wanted to admit. He thought about her as he walked back to the mansion too.

An agent walked through the corridor when he noticed Steph. "He may not be in his room," he said when he noticed she had knocked on the door. "The last place I saw him was in the library." After he passed her he muttered under his breath: "What does that demon even want from him?"

Mike was in the library, walking between the bookcases as he scanned the titles of the books.

Mr. Johnson looked at his guest; apparently he had guessed his true motive. But he didn't have proof of that, so he wouldn't freely admit that. Not yet anyway.
He narrowed his eyes at the mention of the whispers. "What whispers?" he asked. While there was a possibility this man was just insane, suffering from auditory hallucinations or voices in their head. However, he had seen enough paranormal things to keep an open mind, and the way this man spoke didn't give him the idea this man was insane.

"So, they are fallen angels then?" Morrison asked as he continued to the car. He unlocked the door and gestured to Jase to open the door at the passenger side. They would have to lower the back of the seat so Carl could lie back and they could properly secure him there, which wasn't the case on the backseat.

Mindy looked from Michael to Niccia. "That sounds amazing," she said, but when she noticed Gavin walking towards her she turned her head to look at him.

Andy grinned. "I say that is a great idea. I'd love to go on a date with you." The grin faded into a more modest smile. "It doesn't even have to be Starfall, but I definitely want to go there with you as well."
It looked like he had the opportunity to still go to Starfall and he was glad about that, but she could have offered to go to a dumpsite because she was curious to see how humans handled their waste and he'd still happily go with her.

Kim blinked when Soul said she was Guardian material and pressed his nose against her. When he called her the Guardian of Andy she put her paws on her cheeks and shook her head. "Oh no, no, no, I'm no Guardian. The others are much stronger than me and Benny has been with him since the beginning!"
"But you take good care of all of us," Benny interjected as he landed next to her. "And I've seen you fight to protect Andy." He had a happy look on his face. "If there would be vote you'd definitely get mine!"
Kim sat on the ground, her long tail wrapped around her. "T-thanks..."

Merlin flew overhead, taking in the situation, and landed next to Andy. He nodded to Frossien as a greeting. "I learned about your true identity," he told her. "It's an honour to meet you. And the situation has been dealt with; a Marshadow didn't know about Varina's change of sides. I request you translate that for Andy too."

Benjamin remained silent after Steph had asked him what he wanted to do. He had almost blurted out 'leave the agency', but he reminded himself that it wasn't because he didn't fit in like his friends that he couldn't do important work here. "I think I'll go read those files and be a bit more productive," he started. "It's not high priority, but at one point the boss will want an answer from me. And maybe you can..." he paused and sighed. "Mike seems to think it's dangerous for me to be around you; he tried to warn me earlier today and I did not take that well. Maybe you can talk with him, debunk some misconceptions he may have picked up."

Mr. Johnson nodded. "I see. I will give you back what he stole from you," he offered. Of course he would keep the copy he had made of the files, he wasn't a fool. "And if you want her back I will give her to you again." He would rather see the beast dead... maybe he had to speed that up a little. Ethan was still at the base, if she would be back before his next mission, he could make her wild. That way her current owner would probably agree she was uncontrollable and would need to be put down, like a dog.

"Yes, well, we'll let the higher-ups decide about that," Morrison said. "I'll testify Jase is in control of himself, if that's needed."
He started going back to the car, supporting Carl along the way.
At least the situation with the angels was dealt with, which meant he still had some time to rest before doing a nightshift to hunt vampires.
Benjamin stared at Dia as she moved away from him. Then he noticed her shadow. "Dia..." he whispered and he moved a bit closer to her again, hearing her whispers. Who was a wisp? But the 'she's taking her meds', that had to be Ray.

"Hey, what is going on there?" One of the guards suddenly said and the door opened. He grabbed Dia by her arm. "I don't know how you got in, but you aren't supposed to be here." He dragged her out and as Benjamin lunged to him the other entered and pinned him down.
"She probably sneaked in when that new guy was talking with us," the other guard said.
"Yeah, that is probably it. That bitch. She seems out of it too, we'll take her to the psychiatrist."
"No!" Benjamin roared as he struggled to break free, but the guard was stronger than him. "Let her go!"

The guard who had grabbed Dia pulled her out of the cell as he called for additional back-up, that came immediately in the shape of the nurse Tiffany, who had visited another padded room after going to Benjamin.
"She looks bewildered," Tiffany said. "I will call the psychiatrist to see if she has time to come now."

Marc couldn't stop a smile from forming when he saw Sara beam like that. "Enjoy," he said, gesturing to one of the pies. "I took Earl Grey bags with me, I like that tea and I think you will too, but if you rather have a fruit flavour and I can go back and swap it for you."
He opened his bag and dipped it in the hot water, letting it rest as the tea slowly spread.
She'll get some more reason to freak out then. I'm going to assume her body isn't strong, since it's very new and she'snot used to it.
Will she stay tangible for a while? I've got a mean idea.
"Starfall?" Mindy repeated. Not only had Gavin not mentioned that, she had never heard about it before. "What is Starfall?"

"Gavin had said he'd take me after I asked him to take me," Andy said, joining in the conversation again, "but if he would rather invite someone else I'm fine with that." He turned to Gavin. "No hard feelings."
While he could joke about his ego getting hurt or that Gavin didn't love him anymore, he decided not to do that. There was a time for everything, and now wasn't the time to be joking around. Of course he wanted to go, for a researcher this was a golden opportunity to learn more about the Legendary Pokémon - although the few encounters he already had, had taught him they knew very little of them - but he wouldn't force Gavin into doing something he didn't want.

Since the others were talking about Gavin and who he'd take, Michael decided to answer Mindy's question. "It's a gathering of Legendary Pokémon," he explained. "I've never been to it so I can't say more, but Niccia invited me for the event."

Kim's ears drooped a bit. "He doesn't care about her. Andy would fight to get any of us back and I'm sure Niccia would do that for you too. It's sad if Varina is considered disposable. I'll make sure she'll never feel like that here!"

Merlin nodded to the explanation. "I see," he said, excepting the news as it was. Somehow Andy had gotten the attention of a Legendary Pokémon and he wondered how that had happened. After Niccia and Gavin, it wasn't strange to hear about more legendaries to cross their path, but it was a surprise to hear one of them would fall for Andy, who was just a human after all, but Niccia had too. Merlin decided there was no accounting for taste.

The Pokémon Center got closer and closer and he gently flew to the building. He'd have a word with Kim, as she was the only one confirmed to be with him when this had happened.
Dia should now be visible to others too, right?
When Benjamin heard a sound he looked up. Dia was back. And she was in trouble. He moved over to her and gently held her. "Hey, Dia, calm down," he said with a soft voice. The changed were visible and tangible; something was wrong, but he couldn't say how or why this was happening. The most important thing was to calm Dia, as she seemed on the verge of breaking.

Marc stood near the counter, waiting for his turn. He glanced back and smiled when he saw Sara had already found a book to read. When it was his turn he ordered the tea and apple pie and he waited until everything was put on a small platter for him. He paid and took the platter back to their table.
"I'm back," he said, before putting the platter on the table between them and sitting down.
