@Akayaofthemoon The only ships I'm not cool with are ones that are ridiculously impossible, ones that break canon, or ones that I don't view as morally right (three big ones being incest, pedophilia, and abusive relationships). Everything else I'm just apathetic to because I still don't understand shipping. XD
@HaltingBlooper XD M8 if I knew. If I knew. I don't even know why it's a thing people insist on trying to get real people to do, but meh. I have brOTPs because I'm trash so maybe I shouldn't talk since it's basically the same thing but on a platonic level rather than a romantic or sexual one. :P

People: "OMG IT'S BECAUSE YOU'RE HETEROSEXUAL HOMOPHOBIC YOU MALE WHITE CIS PIECE OF TRASH!!!"
Me: Um... 1) I'm asexual, not heterosexual, 2) I'm not homophobic, in fact I'm part of the gay-straight alliance at my school, and I'm not even straight or gay and they seem to ignore the fact that people who are asexual exist (I'm not the only asexual there so I speak on all our behalfs on this one), 3) Not male, was born with woman parts but not sure how to feel about it, 4) I'm middle eastern, not white and not Arab either, since y'all seem to assume all middle eastern are, 5) I don't even know how genders work anymore m8 6) That last part is true but meh and 7) The reason I don't ship anyone in the show is because I simply do not understand why shipping is a thing, why people make such a big deal out of it, or how romance works at all, so...? and 8) I don't see how being heterosexual, male, white, or cis makes you automatic trash or immediately invalidates your opinion, but that's just me?

@Akayaofthemoon I always thought Ruby sounded pretty feminine, but Jasper's voice reminds me too much of my cousin with the weird gravely tone and everything who is 100% dude but with feminine-ish traits but is still clearly a dude and so I sort of saw Jasper that way they even share the long eyelashes and everything. XD I swear even her attitude reminds me of his when he was younger and maybe even a little bit today.
And it's okay, I know that's not the reason why you saw Ruby as such initially, otherwise you'd have to interpret either Pearl or Rose as male since though it's one-sided and the other may or may not be aware of it, it too is a thing. XD

I guess I'm lucky in that I've had a lot of practice prior because of choir but I've seen so many theater kids freak out because suddenly they must sing. It's also a lucky thing because I pretty much never stop singing. Apparently I sometimes even sing in my sleep according to my sister and it scares her to no end. So if I had a voice like my mother (love you mom but it's true) not only would I be annoying but I'd also be living ear hell. Glad I got a good voice like my daddy, and his improv skills to boot. XD
I still sometimes refer to Jasper as a 'he' even though she's canonically referred to as a 'she', but she's the only one I view as more masculine than feminine.

@Akayaofthemoon I am a theater kid and I took choir before the extra-curricular ban was a thing, so I'm a decent enough singer myself, and everyone in theater seems to be as well for some reason or another, and if they aren't, they must learn, because invariably they will eventually have a role involving singing solo. XD
