Well I think our hunt will have to wait until tomorrow, since I need to go to bed lol. I'll post when I get the chance tomorrow as well.
Ulfang shook his head, "Yeah we should be." He quickly looked around then back at Shadow, feeling sad that the two girls left but this had priority over them. "Well..looks like it's just us. I think the best course of action is to use your ambush tactic. You flush it out and I'll ambush it. Come on, they should be just over that hill." Ulfang pointed his snout at the hill, which was about a quarter of a mile away. he trotted off.
By this point the group had reached the edge of their territory when Leila ran off and Ulfang had stopped dead in his tracks when she did. He looked at her run away and knew it would be futile to pursue. Looking at Shadow he said, "I believe so, but there might be a couple of issues when we get back. For now lets just push it aside and focus on the task at hand." Before he could move on the wind changed direction and he smelled something dead and close. "Do you smell that...?" he murmured.
Wildflower glanced impatiently at Ulfang, then at the rest of her followers. "Fang...I sounded a little demanding back there huh? I guess I just wanted Shadow to get the memo, you know? He got kicked out of the pack for hunting badly a while back." Wildflower picked up her pace, hoping the others would do the same. "And sometimes, I just want to be in control." She tested the air, waiting for a response from Ulfang. Maybe he would understand a bit more than the others. He always seemed a little neutral to her.
Ulfang gave a wolfy cough, then said "Maybe just a bit, but ya'know there's always another side of the story. Like he said, Ruka offered him a chance for redemption. I'm sure he'll be fine." Ulfang then whispered to Wildflower, "Being in control isn't everything, but on the hunt, its the one thing that we have. It's our duty not to let the others get hurt because of a bad call."
"Good idea, but we'll just have to wait and see what's in our favor today. The elk could be anywhere and we just won't know until we get a lay of the land." Ulfang replied back to Shadow. "I'm familiar with ambush techniques, it could save us a lot of time and fill our bellies quickly." He started off after Wildflower. He didn't want to undermine her authority but he always thought it best that if a wolf saw an opening for a clean kill, then they should take it. He would keep his snout shut for now.
Do we even need to feed the pups? They seem to be able to handle themselves haha
Ulfang watched Wildflower as she came over to him and sat down. She looked very excited to be out hunting, as any wolf would. "Ahh yes, we have mouths to feed at home now. I'm sure if we work together we can bring it back intact, or we could always eat our fill then regurgitate it back up." Ulfang shook his head at that one. "I'd much rather bring it back." he said while smiling.
Ulfang stood up straight, it was time for him to do his duty. He looked at those gathered and spoke, "You all know the drill, you follow Wildflower and I's instructions. No rash decisions without consulting us first." Ulfang began to pace back and forth. "We'll go for Elk today, I think I know where we will find a nice herd. I shouldn't have to remind you guys, but we split one off from the herd then we take it down. Bite the legs to slow it down, then go for the throat. I want a nice clean death, because ask yourself this, if you were in the elk's hooves, would you want to be eaten alive? We move out shortly, so get ready." Ulfang then sat down, mentally preparing himself for the challenge ahead.
Name: Amos "The Night" Taroc Nickname(optional): The One, The Night, Shadow Age: Unknown Gender: Male Powers: Shadow manipulation, Becomes stronger in dark places especially nighttime Weaknesses: He has no love of light or relationships Species: Spirit Appearance(s): Crush: None Relationship: None Spouse: Once had a lover, but that was along time ago. Children: Many children, some dead, some alive. Personality: Amos is dark, brooding, unhappy and some would say evil. He cares little for mortals, as they are not his kind and tend to break easily. He once had a romantic side to him, but whether it is still there, not even he knows. History(optional): Amos is a spirit, so he simply came into existence one day instead of being born. He was not always as he is now, yes, in fact he was once adored and loved by the spirits he called friends. As he was a guardian of the forest he called home and was not to be trifled with. However, upon a full moon one night in an age long since forgotten he found her, his love. Her name was Camektris and she was not just a spirit but something far darker. He was in love, but it was slowly consuming him, twisting his original purpose of growing, into an abomination. His works withered, died and he was shunned. Amos became a shadow of his former self and when he turned to Camektris, she was no where to be found. In his anguish he finally learned what hatred was, and destroyed the entire forest, and when it was done, he lost his ability to have a physical body. Severally weakened he slept, appearing occasionally to witness the world and find a way to have a body of his own again. His dealings in mortal affairs caused many to fear him, some to worship him and led others to attempt his destruction. Other: "Let the games begin"
Yeah, it's always good to not be alone. Btw, I'm ready for this hunt to start, that's for sure.
