Well his little ruse seemed to fool the demon at least but did the angel hear him? That was the only question that came to his mind, he did not even care if his own life was in danger.

Lucius relaxed a little bit before jumping back in surprise at the sight of the person who walked in front of him, he had not even heard her approach. It was definitely the angel, those wings were a dead give away and as she pulled back her hood, he walked to her side to get a better look and oh boy was she a looker. What was even more surprising was when she raised her arms and wings out in a gesture of protection, so Lucius fell back behind her but was tall enough to see what was going on. This act did not go unnoticed to Lucius, he was deeply touched at the generosity the angel showed.

As she spoke Lucius simply watched, scanning the area for any other creatures that could disrupt the meeting but none came, at least not yet. He had raised his weapon ever so slightly when the demon had done the same, but quickly let it drop as the General did the same. So Octavia was her name, it was a nice name but Lucius had his thoughts on something else. There had to be another reason why she came here, there was more to this story and he would find out.

Next thing to happen was the elf, that had previously followed Octavia in the forest, finally appeared. Good, now if they could overpower the demon if need be. Something told him that would not be necessary, for as the demon spoke he felt that the creature was being very much sincere, a trait lost among most other demonic entities.

To answer the demons question Lucius simply said, "Don't know how that happened but water... it frightens me. I can't do it."

The fairy that arrived next was another good omen to Lucius, now they had more then enough to escort the princess back to the border. Though he held no animosity towards the fairy-kind, he did find them annoying at times but that was besides the point. There was safety in numbers, especially in this dark land and for that Lucius was grateful.
I'm making a post now.
Lucius stopped dead in his tracks at the voice of the General, this demon could quiet literally kill him with one blow but he hesitated to do so. The real question was, what was Lucius going to do about it because the demon made a point, it was foolish to come in here alone. As he thought he became aware of the fairy the darted among the dead branches. What in the hell was a fairy doing here? It didn't matter, Lucius needed to speak and then, an idea came to mind.

"Oh great demon," he paused, getting down on one knee. It was a fact he hated but it needed to work. "I am looking for someone dear to me, I fear that they have fled into this... place, to get a better look at it. Stories can only go so far I'm afraid!"

Now for the tricky part, he raised his voice, hoping to project it so that a certain angel could hear him. "Yes! As a matter of fact, I was really hoping that the person I was looking for would actually have made their way back to our home, while it was relatively safe and free of getting distracted!" This was so embarrassing he thought. It was a long shot, Lucuius didn't even know if she was around here but he tried nonetheless.

"I really hope that they just run back to the border, if they are still here! That would make this so much better for both sides, if my dear would just run home now." He stopped shouting, hopefully it would have the intended effect.

"Anyways, with your express permission General, I would like to conduct a short search of the area, in hopes that I can find my dear beloved before it is too late. I can not bear the thought of loosing someone so close to me, after all I have been through. Perhaps you can sympathize with me?" he said, pretending to be sad.
Lucius was aware that the angel was not the only being in the darkness, besides the elf that had already crossed, there were the denizens themselves- and they were everywhere. He had two choices, play it safe or run after her and playing it safe was steadily becoming the better choice. Time was already running out, what was it? A day they said, that was the time-frame for a child of light to stay in the cursed land before it became too late. So, he tried his best to be silent as he fast-walked towards the hooded angel but he was too late, a large demon got to her first and then she bolted.

The wizard wasn't good with demon names but that had to be the General, whose legion was constantly battering with the soldiers he called friends. Lucius could not allow that fiend to lay his hands on her, but it already looked like the situation was handled. There was no way he would be able to keep up with her. His sigh of relief was quickly met with the fact that she was running deeper into the forest and quickly disappearing into the trees.

"Oh no... This is not good." Lucius whispered, his breath could be seen. He tensed up, realizing what he had to do. "Damn!"

Lucius conjured a fireball in his left hand and threw it into a decaying bush, which caught on fire. With any luck, it would provide a distraction, a bad one, but a distraction nonetheless. Then he full on sprinted towards the last direction of where the angel went. Perhaps he could find her.

He tried to remain alert but a bad feeling crept over him, this was not going to be good.
@Ace of flames01 That's quite alright.
@Ace of flames01 Uhh yeah, I'm still with you.
There was no such thing as having the luxury of sleep anymore, his duties constantly prohibited him from the softness of a pillow much to Lucius's dismay. The war seemed to be at a standstill, nothing extraordinary was going on thankfully but at the same time it shouldn't that have meant he would get more sleep? Of course not, because someone up top had the notion that this standstill was just a ruse by the enemy to get the upper hand. This meant that there was no time for relaxation and almost all of the day was spent training or scouting areas that had the presence of darkness.

So there Lucius was, under the cover of trees in the dawn of morning, working on about four hours of sleep. He was extremely close to the border, to the point where he could peer across into the desolate landscape. He shivered, he hated the dark and the cold, making sure to give thanks for the light that he had grown up in, even if it was bittersweet.

Lucius was quite bored at the time, he had literally stayed up all night watching the border in hopes of anything happening. He was very disappointed by the time the sun was just coming up. It was actually about time for him to go back to camp, but something caught his eye.

An angel?

The winged creature landed not a few feet away from the border but about forty feet away from him. He could make out that it was a female but that was it before the angel put a cloak over itself and stepped through the border in the darkness. He was horrified, why would an angel do that willingly? It did not look like she was forced but perhaps she was bewitched?

Lucius shook his head, no that couldn't be right.

His uncertainty for action was quickly met with another female crossing the border near the same place the angel went in. Now that was suspicious, but Lucius did not know what to do. On one hand if he did not return to the camp people would come looking for him and on the other if he let that angel fall into enemy hands, well he shuddered at the thought of loosing another one of the beautiful creatures. No! He quickly grabbed his staff and made his way to the edge carefully, always looking around for danger.

He was there, so close to the uncertainty that waited in the darkness beyond, his will was great but his fears were always there in the back of his mind. He took a long breath, and stepped over, the coldness was a slight shock to his system but it would pass. Now, he had to find that angel before something bad happened.

Personality: Lucius is a calm individual, gentle in nature but quite capable of anger when stressed out. At times he can be dark, brooding and mysterious. At the core of his being he is a child of light and because of this he is known for helping others in need, but only if they are also children of the light. He learned the hard way to never trust the enemy.

He hates the children of darkness and sees them nothing more as beasts that have run amok. Those beasts, also need to be put down. He believes this is the only way that his kind can survive in peace. He also partially controlled by his fear of becoming one of them, as humans are far to susceptible to dark influences, so he goes out of his way to avoid touching them when in close proximity.

History:
Lucius was born in a small village where everyone knew each other. He had a pleasant childhood, he went to school, made friends and learned from his experiences. They knew of the war that raged on in the outside world but his village had always thought that it would never reach them, but they were wrong.

What happened next was to expected, the village was caught on both sides on the conflict and torn apart. Those that survived fled to safer places in the heart of the country, others were not so lucky. His family was one of the few that had escaped, he was only a young man at the time and the experiences of that night would always haunt him. He was quiet literally on the edge of death when his father found him under rubble, so close was Lucius that he remembered on seeing a gorgeous pale light but it was not his time. By some stroke of luck, his family left their village by wagon, with another family who had a trained healer. Though he would not awake for about a week, he would survive, but never be the same again.

It was only later that he developed a talent for magic, after his family had been uprooted from their ancestral home and forced to flee. Only later did he realize that he had had the potential to help in the conflict and vowed to himself to become better then what he was, so that there never be a time again where his situation seemed hopeless.

He joined a small group of talented wizards calling themselves, "The Eyes" who practiced magic and honed their abilities for the war. Lucius was by no means the best, but he knew how to handle himself in tricky situations. Those tricky situations, happened a lot.

Apologies but some real life problems came up and it is restricting me from putting 100% into this rp, so I'm going to opt out. Sorry, but have fun.
