Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

Bio

If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.

I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.

As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.

Sticky nodded goodbye as he went below deck, leaving you to your watch. The only other person here was a helmsman keeping the ship steady and another watchman in the crows nest. Tonight's sky was cloudy, and it wasn't long before the clouds covered the moon and stars and turned the night pitch black. Only the sounds of the waves and the creaking of wood could he heard as the boat cut through the ocean. Your darkvision however allowed you decent enough visibility as you patrolled around. However as you were walking around you'd notice a shadow move from the corner of your eyes. It was small, but moved quickly. Surely not a rat; there are two mouser cats on board and they do their job well. Or perhaps it was nothing; with everything so quiet and dull right now your mind may be just making up it's own threats. Twas hard to say unless you investigated further.

Quick question, are any of the elves female?

Hard to tell with elves due to their softer features, but none of them have a notable bosom and their voices seemed fairly gruff when you heard them muttering among themselves or shout in fright as arrows were being launched at them. Their clothes seem fairly loose and baggy, trousers and tunics.
If you could somehow contact a merrenoloth and gain their aid, it would certainly help. The nature of the mana storms make it difficult for magic to directly do any permanent effects. A sort of proverbial "fighting fire with fire" where you try to fight a fire by fireballing the fire.

And yeah. just gotta go outta your way to find em. It's not hard. Just follow the trail of corpses and blood.
Your crew moves out on your command. Your crewmen finish the job the sea goblins started, scuttling the ship to ensure the sea truly does claim it if the flames don't do it. By the time the boat would be swallowed by the brine, your vessel would have already been across the horizon. The crew returns to their daily grind, fixing any damage done to the ship as well as attending to their wounds or repairing their gear. Tayang busies himself preparing the loot for use, while you speak with your helmsman and deck wizard. "Aye captain. We'll be heading to Red Shard in about two days time. If the winds are kind, perhaps around thirty-odd hours instead." Nyx looked at the deck as some of your men bring out the elven prisoners, explaining their status thus far. "The prisoners are compliant enough. They think they're clever by speaking elvish, but I know enough of the language to know they speak unkindly about us. Truly, you'd think they'd be more grateful as our prisoners instead of those sea goblins. Sea elves in particular; they don't even get the mercy of death."

Soon the elves would be on the deck for you to question and observe. Hector and Oliver stood nearby, swords drawn, ready to cut them down if they tried to make any suspicious movements. Their arms were tied in bags behind their backs while their legs were bound to a thick piece of wood. Two tricks which were the handiwork of Hurrik, the ship's scout. Apparently knew his way around rope in his previous life. Speaking of, the scout remained on his perch above, his longbow ready to shoot down anything worth shooting. Usually a sea bird that would hit the deck so the crew could eat it later. "Captain! Prisoners are lined up for ya!"
Braving a Mana Storm is actually something of a rite of passage for many sailors. Those who certifiably survive at least a seven day voyage (And when you're in mana storm territory, surviving one day is a notable accomplishment) through the center of the ocean are often visited by strange ocean folk who would inscribe magic tattoos on them. Of course this is mainly just a rumor, and a lot of people have made fake tattoos as well. It's a tattoo across the forehead in the shape of a sea of clouds.

And you don't have to go to Gransys to rap a beholder. Dude's a beholder. He's got magic out the wazoo.
You know the wild magic surge? Pretty much that but as a weather effect. For every minute you're in a Mana Storm, I roll a 1d20. If it's a 1, you get hit by a random effect off the table. Other things might get hit too. Fortunately it's all in the ocean, but the few times a Mana Storm goes onto land oh boy, it is a calamity.
The Memoria Fantasia, a boarding school for the magical and mundane. Created over three hundred years ago, when a magic portal opened up in the modern world and invited the two vastly different realms to interact with one another. Though they were not without conflict, after a long history together they created this boarding school to allow the humans of earth to interact with the unique and varied magical races of Keratia. Elves, Orcs, dwarves, dragons, vampires, and all sorts of creatures interact with humans and learn how to live along side them.

Aside from the incorporation of Fanta say races, cultures, and magic, this school is like any other academy. There are strict codes of conduct that must be upheld, and while every race and species are equal to one another in their rights and autonomy, the safety of the students is still paramount. There are no excuses for any action which directly harm a student in a grievous matter outside of sporting events, such as a vampire feeding off a student or orcs who lose their tempers. Additionally, there are a multitude of extra curricular activities for anyone who can maintain the grade point minimal to qualify for additional activities.

Today started as a fairly normal day for you. It was Winter Break and school was out, allowing students to go back to their homes to spend time with family, or simply stay in the dormitories and enjoy their time off with their fellow students. You share your relatively small dorm space with a human girl, Annabeth Elliot. Despite being human she was not born on earth: her family was one of the first earth humans who explored Keratia and settled there since. Her bronze skin and shiny metallic hair were the only major indicators of her more exotic lineage, but she otherwise is completely human.

At this moment, Annabeth was still asleep. She had arrived somewhat late last night due to her club activities, and was quite tired to boot. She slept underneath her faux fur blanket, snuggling against a large cartoon skull pillow.

As Orchid watched for danger he spotted the others backing away for some reason. When he turned to look he noticed the tendrils creeping out, and Orchid immediately readied himself for combat, growling at the darkness. He didn’t need anyone to explain to him that this creature was a monster. The last guardian of this place no doubt. What worries Orchid sl it holy more however was that despite his preparedness, he could not see where the beast was, aside from the tentacles. Was it’s appendages so huge it could reach them even before his darkvision?

Orchid stood beside Brannor, his eyes darting around the darkness. ”Dark horror. Can’t see face. Long arms. Think monster alone? No minions?” Though this fearsome creature would no doubt be more than a suitable enough guardian of these nest, Orchid knew that there had to be more. Someone to tend to the eggs at least, and Orchid doubts whatever monster that lurks here is the caretaker.
No one seems to mention being native there, and only one mentioned having ever lived there for any notable amount of time. Additionally their stop at the Empire is just a quick refuel/resupply as heir primary destination is Doros to the south. It’s cheaper to get supplies in Majadan, but more lucrative to sell goods in Doros.
Buddy just looked at you. His unchanging expression made it impossible to know if he was confused or not. Pylia elaborated a bit more. "She doesn't mean she's from the other planes, like the Lower or Upper planes, Buddy. The world she came from it's... It's not at all connected to ours. Where she comes from doesn't have things like magic or the things we take for granted, like the existence of dragons or gods." Buddy remained unchanged, but soon took his notebook and and wrote a question. "Why does it matter?" The question felt harsh despite being written instead of spoken. Buddy didn't show or convey any emotions, and his writing was normal as it usually was, yet the words he choose felt blunt. "The reason it matters is because... One day, Sylvia will return to her world. She won't stay here with us anymore. And... I'm trying to do my best to return Sylvia to her world. That's why we're here. This business with the dragon and his cult, even my own issues... Those are just secondary to getting Sylvia back home." Pylia says with a bit of sadness.

She sat there rubbing her hands together, taking out her pipe to smoke from it. "That's the main reason I was also keeping my activities a secret, Sylvia. I promised you that I will get you home as soon as possible. I didn't want you to think I was just saying what you wanted to hear as I go about dealing with my own issues instead. I... I tend to cause a lot of people trouble, and it's only now that I think I have even a chance of making it right. Whether they're old friends from my past or... Or new ones I've known only for a few days." Letting out a puff of smoke Pylia looked over to you, her demeanor calm yet at the same time serious. Whatever she was smoking really helps her nerves. "Fact of the matter is, even if I did drop everything to help you, I know my past will come to haunt me. Either those necromancers will come after me, or some old grudge comes back to attack me when I least expect it. If I didn't know that you'd risk your life to help me, I'd already be gone to deal with them on my own. But my problems are your problems now, unfortunately." Taking a long huff from her pipe, Pylia formed a few smoke rings as Buddy wrote down his thoughts.

"All I care about is helping Sylvia. When she doesn't need my help anymore, I will help others. That is all that matters."
