Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

Bio

If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.

I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.

As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.

And so we begin. Take a moment to chat with one another. As I mentioned in the rules, don't feel the need to rush but I do expect at least 1 post a week. No particular order though I would ask for the sake of letting others get a turn, wait at least two posts before you post again. I expect casual level of posts. If you're worried you can't really make even a paragraph in a casual conversation, just fill the void with thoughts and thinking. Or collab, that's fine with me too. I'll post again once everyone is ready to move on and wake up Yin.
The sun never sets in the Brighted Lands. More a curse than a blessing. Despite the sun's constant presence, it provided no warmth. The land was cold, dry, and desperate for life. What exists are ruins and shadows, dust and decay. In a nameless coastal village, Yin was searching for food. Sometimes she could find something that wasn't too rotten that she could eat, or if she was really lucky she would find a plant she could eat. She thought about hunting before, but most creatures she encountered were monsters. Even the birds looked scary and almost as big as her. Yet despite how bleak things were, she's always kept a smile on her face. A skip in her step. Something about her was... Hopeful, despite how desolate these lands were.

Even now as her stomach growled and her body was so thin. She hasn't had much to eat except a strange root she had dug up yesterday. It tasted like dirt, but it didn't make her puke, so it was delicious. But it wasn't enough. She searched through the ruins of a building covered in sand. Long chairs had been broken down due to sand and time, but somehow the stone altar remained. Though dirty it didn't show too much signs of decay, though whatever was written on it was on sort of language Yin doesn't understand. Or maybe her eyes were just playing tricks on her due to her hunger. Still... This alter felt nice. Smooth and oddly warm. Yin sat on it to get a moment of rest. "Suppose I could try and see if there's anything to eat in the water. Even if it's far away... I could try. I could... Try..."

Yin was tired. She had been walking for as long as she had been awake. Sometimes she would run. When she stopped, she simply sat down, closing her eyes for a bit before running off again. Day and night. She was so tired... So lonely. She laid down on the altar for a moment. It was comfortable. Warm, even in the shadow of this dilapidated building. It would be the first time she's truly had rest. She closed her eyes, taking a deep breath. She took in the senses of her surroundings. The sound of the waves. The smell of the sea. The dryness of her skin. The bitter taste on her tongue. "Yeah... This is a good place to rest..."

It has been forever since you had died. And it also felt like it was only a moment ago you breathed your last breath. Death. Even for the most stalwart of martyrs, no one can escape the burden of death on one's soul. For many, the experience is enough to drive a man to insanity. A quite whimper would be the best he could muster. But for some... Craven, courageous, wise, or witless, they can find the strength of self to go beyond death. You awaken in a destroyed temple. You don't truly feel like yourself, yet at the same time you feel as though you're alive again. Yet when you try to move, even as you lift your foot and put it in front of the other, you don't move from your spot. You see three other figures near you. Strangers yet somehow there's a sense of kinship with these people. And at the center, a young woman sleeping on an altar. She looks gaunt and hungry, yet somehow sleeping peacefully on this stone bed.

But something is coming. How far or how many, it's hard to tell. But you know danger will arrive. Something threatens you, yet at the same time you hardly feel fear. Or anything for that matter. There is no heart beat, no breath. You couldn't move because your feet are not touching the floor. Even if you tried to touch your hand or your chest, it's as if there's nothing there at all. You are a spirit, bound to a mortal. How or why, you do not know. But you have the instinctive feeling of protecting this person, if only out of self-preservation. You know your life is linked to hers. For better or for worse, because you had the will to live you are here. Now you must use that will to fight for your life.

There is some time before this profane feeling approaches. You should speak to these fellow spirits, and learn who you're accompanying. The girl doesn't seem to stir, though she still lives. For now.
Cool. With four characters j can get us started. I'll see a out getting a post done tonight.
Strange choice. If it matters, as I said I added the finesse properties to new weapons, including the Shortbow, Sling, and the newly created Throwing Knife. Per Finesse's ability, you can use strength or dexterity with them, essentially allowing strength users some ranged options. While the Longbow and Heavy Crossbow are still strictly dex weapons, their simple variants can now give strength characters a dedicated range weapon that isn't just javelins.
Interesting character there @rush99999, I can definitely work his backstory into the plot. Question though, why give him the archery style? Are you planning on using one of the new finesse weapons from my weapon list? If so, I could probably allow you to have one instead of what you get by default from the fighter items. Within reason of course.
Dope. I'll keep that in mind, good thing Domic has darkvision.
Yesterday wasn't too bad. Despite some difficulties in the morning, Reyvadin was able to get a nice deal on a Winged Spear, getting it for three lordlings. Practically a steal short of a plunder, and Reyvadin certainly felt more comfortable with a proper weapon instead of everything else he's been improvising. He kept the blade wrapped up, paid his coin, and would head back to the inn alone to rest. He spent most of that afternoon just cleaning himself and treating his blisters, but for once he fell asleep comfortably. It's been a long time since that happened, not since he had lost everything back in Yruma. He slept a dreamless sleep, which was considerably better than most nights he's had so far.

But perhaps his sleep was too peaceful, for Reyvadin had a deep sleep that night. Having filled his belly with food and ale, in a bed that wasn't made of lice and straw, Reyvadin would hardly hear the commotion happening a few rooms down. And even if he did, his mind would not recognize it as an immediate danger: it was simply a noise, an annoyance, and someone else's problem. For the brief moment that he heard it Reyvadin was groggy and trying to make sense of the noise, but his head ached from the booze and honestly, he figured that this noise was simply the ale doing a number on his head. It was, after all, ale paid for by the others, so Reyvadin could not attest to it's quality beyond it's wonderful price tag. He tossed and turned as the fighting went on, his mind still trying to comprehend what it was hearing when Reyvadin simply wanted to sleep.

Alright alright alright, Domic has made his entrance. Here's hoping that'll be enough to draw him to the party. If not, he'll probably go find trouble himself.
DOMIC ROCKERSTAR HATCHETMAN

It's been some time since Domic finally found a place to rest up. For the past month, he's mostly been on the run. Every city he goes, he hears whispers of bounty hunters looking for him, and even in remote farming villages the law is on the look out for criminals matching his description. He has traveled far to escape his past, and unlike his compatriots he's not as adapt at laying low. Honestly, if these hunters have been following his trail it's mostly his fault. For every bar he goes or every tavern her visits, there's always some loudmouth bully in need of a righteous thrashing. And Domic has always been willing to show that size isn't everything when it comes to courage. So rumors of a belligerent gnome with an axe, bashing or butchering ruffians and thugs, were somewhat common in places that Domic left. He just hopes those rumors haven't reached Good Mead yet.

"Damn tired sleeping in a hay bale and drinking grog. Hope this Good Mead has good mead, been a while since I had the honey stuff." Though shelter was one of the reasons Domic was here in Good Mead, he has another reason as well. He's heard rumors of the Frostmaiden, a wicked goddess of the winter, coming to bring a worse cold than normal for... Some reason that Domic didn't actually bother researching. Now initially he dismissed these talks as just exaggeration of a normal winter, which he knew can often be deathly cold. But the more he heard, the more he believed that this goddess was truly about to bring about a wrath unlike any has seen. Now Domic was just one man. A small man. But in his life, he knows what happens when you let big people think that just because they were big and strong, they could do anything they want. It was a cycle: the strong terrorize the weak, and the weak simply accept this as normal and try to escape, even at the cost of others. It'll keep continuing until eventually all of the weak die, and the strong is forced to go after equally tyrannical monsters, which will only result in more catastrophe.

No. Domic would not stand idly by, no matter how big the opponent. If there was someone who was going to use their power to terrorize others because they believe it to be their duty, than Domic believed it was his duty, the reason why the gods put him on in this world, to find that person and bury his axe into their skull. Be they some thug or a Goddess. Of course, these were lofty goals. One day he'll earn his name in the stars for his deeds. For now, he just needs to earn enough for his keep. Arriving to the Mead Hall, Domic let out a hearty message. "What ho, fine folk! Name's Domic Rockerstar Hatchetman. I've come far to seek food and company, in either order." Everyone seemed pretty dour, couldn't help with that, but Domic wasn't going to let that mood get to him. He would find a chair low enough for him to sit or stand on, and order a breakfast with a gold coin. "I'll take whatever you have on the tap and a hot meal with it. By the way, everyone seems rather dour. Something troubling going on?"
