Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

Bio

If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.

I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.

As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.

Progress waits for no man, nor machine. Tungsten knew this. He could not wallow in despair over the state of the Guild when he knew there were actions to take to revitalize it. Among the first of the things Tungsten did was rebuild the Bone Yard. Thanks to access to raw materials via the mining operation in the mountains, as well as Tungstens own clandestine material gathering through his network of Cyberskeletons, Tungsten was able to recreate the Boneyard in full. The only issue was a lack of certain uncommon but relatively rare material, as well as sheer power from the Infernal Engines, to resume full on recycling of the Cyberskeletons. But now Tungsten no longer needs to worry about losing many due to injury or destruction: the remains can be rebuilt, and the damaged can be restored. He can even produce a handful of fresh Cyberskeletons daily, enabling a very slow but progressively growing work force. And more hands make lighter work.

But there was more to it than that. Thanks to Tungsten's agents, he was able to access important minerals that he otherwise would not have been able to get without full power from the Infernal Engines. This material, known simply on the database as Saturnite, though it may have a different name in this realm, was a naturally occurring alloy that would enable Tungsten to create some low-tier BIGS. Nothing as amazing as what his creator would've made, but things that could help the Cyberskeleton with their work. Powered Exosuits that would increase the individual strength and abilities of the Cyberskeletons many fold, enough that a sufficiently large amount of them may even threaten Tungsten himself, if they happen to catch him without a weapon or armor on hand. But more importantly it allows the Cyberskeletons to work faster and better, increasing over all production levels, and enabled Tungsten to send these BIGS to his agents outside of the guild to increase the speed in which they extracted the materials from the foreign lands, as well as dealing with any threats that tried to stop them. Not that they couldn't before, but now they could do so more effectively.

But the creation of the BIGs weren't the only thing that Tungsten has done. With the depletion of natural defenses and fortifications that made the guild safe, Tungsten had taken it upon himself to create new Cyber Skeletons. These were specialized for combat instead of generalist workers like the CS04 models. They were the SEN01 and SOL02, Sentry Cyber Skeleton v.01 and Soldier Cyber Skeleton v.02 respectively.

The SEN01 were designed to be defenders and siege specialists, with a built in gauss cannon that enables them to have a powerful long range weapon and be armed at any time. Their combat specialty also enables them to withstand damage and protect their allies more efficiently, making them perfect guards for the guild. The downside however is that such soldiers were slow to build and not the most mobile: they would be ill-suited to be part of a vanguard force despite their power, and are better off being part of a bulk force that moves and hold ground. But that's what the SOL01 is for.

The SOL02 are far more mobile, and while their combat abilities are not quire as specialized as the Sentries, they made up for it in mobility and stealth operations. Their skills lend them to be able to move quickly across any terrain and blend in with their environments, be it a dark forest or an urban sprawl. Their more generalized skill also enables flexibility with what sort of weapon and equipment they could use, which considering the covert nature of their existence, could be anything from a proper AC02 or any primeval weapon used in this new world.

Still there was much more work to be done. Energy production still has not risen though Tungsten was now making active efforts into accessing that Geothermal Deposit he had detected a while ago. Right now he needed to focus on creating the BIG that would dig and oversee the construction of the generator to siphon energy to the Infernal Engines. Unfortunately such a BIG required rare materials that he does not have access to at this moment, though Tungsten can still get the preliminary work finished so once that rare material is obtained, he can expiate the completion.

Though there was still a matter of the outside world to content with as well. Tungsten has heard whispers that Faetalis is going to war with one of the nations nearby. A war Tungsten has no doubt they can win. But Tungsten was not an arrogate machine. He knew that the unknown bring all sorts of possibilities, and pride comes before the fall. Not only has his scouts been obtaining rare material for him, they have also been gathering information. Whatever details they could gleam from whispered rumor, hush tones, or even gossip and drunken babbling. Information was power and Tungesten intends for the Infactorium to be the strongest.

As Tungsten was working on the Excavator Big he received an Emergency Meeting call. He had his Cyberskeleton Sentries on alert, but kept the workers continuing as usual. This Emergency Meeting did not belay an immediate threat but it could be a call to action, so Tungsten made sure his units were ready to deploy at a moment's notice. He himself was always ready to battle, with Io magnetized to his back. As he proceeded to the Overseer exclusive elevators he had one of his minions bring him his Tempest HMG. Perhaps overkill, but Tungesten would not allow even a moment to be wasted if Fataelis wanted him to immediately go to battle. He would arrive to Faetalis's domain armed to the teeth, and kneel before her.

"Greetings, Creator Faetalis. Tungsten Jazz of the Big Scrap Alley is here to serve you. My soldiers and the titans are ready to be used at your disposal."
I have a vague idea, but basically anything goes. I have something I'm going to throw at Cat but after she deals with that, it'll basically be up to you what comes next.
@rush99999

You would know two things: first that the city you lived in did not worship the Bright, nor was it part of the nation that spawned it. That's relivent due to the second thing to know: when word of the Bright was spreading outside if the nation, consuming the whole continent, it wasn't unusual for cults to pop up claiming worship in the name of power and protection.

Most of the gangs you dealt with weren't very religious. Sure some folks swore to a god and some notable members were devout, but they were street gangs, not cults. But you remember this cult, some sort of Bright cult that went about trying to convert people to join them. You never had any direct conflicts with them since they never seemed interested in controlling the city like you did, but they were still everywhere and you do remember that a lot of grubts in your command we're Bright followers, at least before you were betrayed.

That being said you don't really know the cult or how they operated. They never directly opposed you so they simply weren't on your radar. The symbols are familiar enough, but you're pretty certain your city doesn't have a quiet costal village like this anywhere nearby it.
DOMIC ROCKERSTAR HATCHETMAN

"Alright, it's settled then!" Domic says confidently. He nods to the newcomer that decided to join the conversation: Domic was no stranger to rando's showing up and joining in the fun. Half the time he was the rando. He looks over to Kythor. "Looks like we'll be putting giant slaying on hold. Fine by me I'd say, ain't in a rush to my death, s'long as we get around to it before it gets to us, savvy? Anyways, you mentioned something about Easthaven yeah? Missing farmers or whatever. Good place to start as any. Don't know where Easthaven is aside from East, and I imagine we're going to need to pack some supplies for the trip. Tents, food, that sort of thing. I might not a burly orc, but I can carry my own weight in gear, so don't be afraid to load up on supplies. I'm more than willing to distribute the weight." Domic says with a nod and a smile as he looks at the gathered group. While he was used to small folk like himself, Domic knew that one day he would have to get used to running with the big guys. Instead of having to fight them, it's time for him to work with them.

Domic's stomach grumbled. He still hasn't gotten his stew yet. "Well, if we're all going to be traveling together and what not, how about we have some food in our bellies and drinks in our hands while we gab and get to know one another? If we're going to be traveling through this desolate frozen wasteland together, may as well not be strangers to one another, less terrible and vile ideals begin to take root in our minds when we're at our lowest. Negative I know, but I've seen it happen before. And I find it's best to get that shit sorted before tensions grow because of things we don't know, like if you got some trauma about dragons or maybe you're secretly a vampire or something." Domic still had his gold coin out, so he was just waiting for an innkeeper or serving wretch to come around and get him something.
Donny had plundered pretty much everything he could carry when he turns to Cat. "Found something huh? Alright, let me get my rope." Grabbing the rope he used a while ago, he would be able to secure it to a large piece of rubble wedged into a corner. It was nothing but darkness down there. Donny brought his torch closer to illuminate it, now feeling the heat coming out of it. "Could be a gas pocket. If that's the case, you'll need your gasmask, and this." Donny hands Cat one of the glow sticks. "An open flame, or even an errant spark, could fry you faster than a cold wave would freeze you solid. If you still feel like going down there at least. If there is a busted cast vein, that at least implies that hole leads to something with access to some sort of fuel. And if we can access that, we can buy our way into any settlement."

Natural gas was one of those things that was common, or even forgotten, in the past but now could have entire civilizations built around them. Be it natural deposited opened up because of the calamity or man-made containers stored in secured bunkers, those gasses could fuel settlements and ensure they stay warm in even the harshest of storms. They could also be used to power electronics, which themselves are critical to access things such as illumination, water filtration, or even fuel for vehicles. Even just a little could be used to keep a home warm for over a year, which basically made that home a king's palace as long as anyone else cared. But the risks were considerable. As Donny mentioned, it wouldn't take much to turn a gas deposit into a fire bomb. And that's before taking into consideration the sort of mutants who would also be attracted that that warmth. Strange things that live deep underground, and become strange, warped monstrosities.

"Your call. Maybe just take a peek, see what's around? If nothing else, sure as hell beats going back out there into the cold. It's actually kinda comfortable standing here." Donny could feel himself getting warmer from this heat vent, and he even opened up his coat to allow the heat to reach inside and dry him. Smelled terrible, but that's not unusual in this world. Cat may have also notice that Donny had taken some air fresheners and put them inside of his jacket, perhaps as an attempt to smell clean at least.
Apparently Reyvadin missed quite a bit last night. While he was awoken by Faeril's shouting, by the time Reyvadin was roused to fight the battle was already over. Something or someone had attacked someone last night. Details were blurry. Everything happened in a very short amount of time, with no one really knowing what happened. Frankly Reyvadin thought it was just a botched burglary. Someone tried to break into a room of a drunk patron and got his ass handed to him. But apparently there was something bigger going on. The inn was shut down and there was some talk of demons? Heresy, is what Reyvadin thought, but then again he wasn't there to see what had happened.

Entering the room, he sees Emmaline talking to some man. His wounds looked like burns: from what he caught up so far, this demon used hellfire against one of the residents. So maybe this wasn't purely heresy. There was a barmaid who told tales of of some massacre that happened nearby. Could this possibly be related? Surely no one was just going to dismiss the presence of a bunch of corpses within city limits. He decided to grab some breakfast and join Raddek at a table. "So... Sounds like a lot happened last night. I was too late to participate myself, but from what I do know you were there for the entire event. So what happened?" Reyvadin asked as he ate the breakfast served to him.
Religion Check of 5+2 = 7

I'll presume Whisper basically learns nothing else while he scrutinizes the shrine and move on with my thoughts.

Yeah beyond what I mentioned in my original post, the Whisper's memories along the the age and damage to the symbols makes it hard for him to figure out anything else. The Alter itself at least doesn't look too damaged though it's probably suppose to look better than it does now.

@Lucius Cypher

What does the hostile graffiti look like?

Looks like this basically. Not all of them are the same, looks like they were drawn by hand, more more or less in this shape and configuration.

Righto. Lots of shit happened today, but I'll get a post up tomorrow.
A day late, but I got me a post up. If you want to know more about any information your character has received, go ahead and make an appropriate roll for me in the OOC. Feel free to speculate too, you might not be right, but also may not entirely be wrong.
As the four were trying to figure out what was going on with their situation, the girl began to rouse. Strangely enough as she was becoming conscious, everyone would feel more mobile. They were able to move around her, though no further than five feet or so. She sat up, rubbing her eyes, and looked around. For a moment she seemed shocked. She was quiet and you could all tell she was afraid. Yet at the same time, despite being so much smaller, so much weaker, there was a certain level of defiance within her. As if she was ready to fight despite how hopelessly outmatched she would be. "Who are you all? You're not... Did you just come here? You don't look like the monsters in these lands." Yin gulped. She had no weapons, not even a rock, but her hands were held tightly to her chest as if to protect her vitals. "I'm Yin... Do you all live here?"

Whisper would also notice something now that they have awakened mentally. The altar the girl sat upon was dedicated to a certain deity. The name would elude them due to the void in their memories, but off the top of their heads Whisper could remember their had something to do with voyaging and safe passage: sensible things to want in this pastoral coastal ruin. Whisper himself would know that there are similar deities within the realm of death, such as the Ferryman of Souls. Perhaps it was no coincidence that Whisper would awaken here then, in this place meant to guide people to their destination, be it new lands or an afterlife. As for Graham, while most of his memories unrelated to his vengeance are also a blur, something about some of the ruined iconography was familiar. It was strange because the markings weren't anything like what was on the altar. But it would only take a moment for him to remember some cult or religion that was rather notable back in his city that had the tendency to plaster their symbols everywhere, especially in temples. Even if Graham is not a religious man, he would know that such graffiti had one purpose: marking an enemy area as your territory. Perhaps it was no time that brought this temple to ruin after all.

That foreboding feeling was still coming. And for some it was heard. Tamzen was able to hear the flaps of a large winged creature: this was no mere bird. Something much bigger, and was moving fast and with purpose. It was uncertain to know if they realized Yin was here but Tamzen could at least recognize some flying creature was approaching the area due north. As for the others, Alsei would only need a short moment to realize that Yin was overly malnourished. Any strenuous physical activity would drain her quickly, and there was no doubt that if anything came by to attack her, her chances of survival was slim. The fact she survived for this long was nothing short of a miracle. PAL would approach, it's body largely functional however many parts of it's chassis and equipment were rusted and in a state of ruin. The flail heads were gone, likely lost underneath the sand, the tabard was eaten away but insects, and the shield was warped and rusted as well. It would take some time to fix PAL back to it's previous state, but it was still functional nonetheless.
