Personality: Confident to the point of arrogance, Sophia loves to show off. She thinks she's worldly-wise, when really she knows nothing about life outside of her home town. She acts pretty superior towards most people, but her warmer, gentler side comes out when she's around Pokemon - even though she has to get them to respect her as their trainer, she doesn't feel such a need to put on an act around them as she does around humans.

Appearance: Slim and fairly tall, with a cold grey glare and, more often than not, a smug smirk on her face. Her dark brown ringlets are usually tied in two bunches. She wears a mini top hat on a headband, a white ruffled shirt with a black ribbon at the neck and a waistcoat, a black skirt trimmed with lace, and black tights. All in all, her clothes are vaguely reminiscent of a stage magician's outfit.

History: Sophia was born in Unova to a long line of psychics, and always made sure people knew about it. What did it matter if people thought her odd because her mother helped in the Celestial Tower? They weren't the ones who could throw a Pokeball without touching it. They had to just be jealous. She'd show them they owed her respect and admiration.

Throughout her childhood and teenage years, she worked on earning that respect and admiration from her parents, who set her challenge after challenge. They wanted her to hone her skills and represent the family line well. Finally, her mother set Sophia her greatest challenge yet. She was to leave her sheltered way of life and become a Pokemon trainer. Receiving a Gothita from her mother, Sophia set off on a Mistralton plane to the adventure than waited ahead. It would surely be no problem. After all, anything's easy for her... right?

Personality: An odd mix of no-nonsense professionalism and childlike curiosity. Amber's the type to take on the responsible role, only to become so fascinated by something she loses sight of everything else. Despite her eccentricities, when she puts her mind to a task, she tends to be pretty good at it.

Appearance: Amber's lightly tanned skin and athletic figure show her love of outdoor activities. Her hair is a shade in between blonde and brown, usually braided and coiled into a bun, and her eyes are green. She dresses in a simple and practical way, often in a dark brown vest top and lighter brown, three-quarter-length pants. She wears a pendant that consists of a wire-caged polished pebble on a piece of cord.

Height: 5'9"

History: An aspiring Pokemon professor from Kanto, Amber grew up with both parents as role models in different ways. Her mother, a scientist specialising in fossil revival, encouraged her love of learning, and her father taught her about the outdoors. She knew from a young age that, rather than simply staying inside and learning from books, she wanted to learn hands on, and as she grew older, she made up her mind. Once she'd studied a fair amount, she planned to set off on her own journey, training Pokemon rather than studying them from a distance. Instead of following in her mother's footsteps, she'd aim to be a researcher into Pokemon's battle styles.

Her parents respected her decision, giving her a Pokemon cloned from a fossil, a Kabuto. She spent a while longer at home preparing before saying goodbye to her family and heading off for her new experience. Shortly after arriving in Kosei, she caught her second Pokemon, a Yanma, while learning the basics of being a trainer.
