The worst thing about mental illness is you have to look after yourself a disgusting amount. I know it's the only way to actually be in a fit state to look out for others, but it still feels wrong.

I like a wide range of RP genres, but have two absolute favourites: Pokemon and magical girls. (If someone manages to combine the two, I'll be VERY happy!) I post fairly regularly, but sometimes shit mental health days crop up - if that causes any delays, I'll try to resume posting ASAP.

Personality: A lively, curious young woman who loves to travel and learn. Like most witches, she's a nature lover, and her element means she's good with animals. Full of energy, she isn't one to sit still for too long and is always up for trying new activities. She's friendly and chatty, sometimes not realising when she's being a bit too full-on for someone's liking. Although a sociable person, she prefers her independence to being part of a coven.
History: Emma isn't what you'd call your typical witch. From a young age, she preferred to learn about the world from experience than through books, which displeased the rest of her coven. She'd just get herself into trouble, they said. Mostly potion-makers, they reluctantly watched her develop her nature magic, which they didn't fully understand, and specialise in animals. As soon as she was old enough, she left the coven who had tried to hold her back. She spent the next few years studying the animals of Erellon, until her skills and drive to learn caught the attention of the council.

So now Academy of Dragonology has revived, I've got Emma in two RPs. It was kind of hilarious how she got a forest dragon in that AFTER I made her a nature witch in this XD

"Ah, it's fine," Emma said, taking back the first aid kit once Eun-mi had treated the injury. "I'm Emma, and this is Maia." She gestured towards the dragon, who crawled over to Eun-mi and started gently rubbing her head around the girl's ankles like a cat. Emma chuckled again. "Looks like she thinks she's a kitten." She smiled at the group of humans and dragons. "Nice to meet all of you."
Looking at the spiky blue dragon hiding behind the man who'd introduced himself as Allan, she kept her distance so as not to scare the creature further, but her smile widened. "Awww. So cute! Like an alligator! Uh..." She reminded herself that, apart from some of the people she'd studied with, not everyone shared her idea of what was cute. "Oh, come on, baby alligators... the eyes, the stubby legs, anyone else see it?" She gave a slightly awkward laugh. "Anyway," she said, glancing from Eun-mi to the dragon, "Are both of you ok now?"

"I'm ok," Sophia insisted. She couldn't let herself appear weak in front of people. "But if it's close to the gym..." A tiny sleeping room in a Pokemon Centre wasn't her first choice, but it was free, and although she wouldn't admit it, she wasn't exactly up to more wandering around. All she wanted to do right now was rest.
She couldn't help but notice people giving Rheese strange looks at the mention of the Gym Leader's name. What was going on there? It didn't matter. Whoever this Vincent guy was, he'd surely be no problem to beat.
She patted Gothita one more time before returning her to her Pokeball. With a yawn, she shuffled over to one of the nurses and asked about lodging. Sure enough, it turned out there were several empty rooms. The nurse led her down a hallway and showed her one of them, which she peered into with a frown. A couple of bunkbeds, a small desk and a chair, all crammed close together? What kind of place was this for her to sleep in? Still, she sat down on one of the lower beds and sighed. It was only for tonight, and she had a busy day ahead of her.
