Current To those I RP with, I haven't dropped off of the face of the earth, just had a mental health crash but am recovering. Now to catch up on posting.

The worst thing about mental illness is you have to look after yourself a disgusting amount. I know it's the only way to actually be in a fit state to look out for others, but it still feels wrong.

Judging by the Internet's definitions of introversion and extraversion, you'd think everyone's either an extreme hermit or a party animal with no in between.

Bio

A frazzled British thirtysomething cat mum with something of a tea addiction.

I like a wide range of RP genres, but have two absolute favourites: Pokemon and magical girls. (If someone manages to combine the two, I'll be VERY happy!) I post fairly regularly, but sometimes shit mental health days crop up - if that causes any delays, I'll try to resume posting ASAP.

Emma

@unfallenangel @Aurliena Nova

A grin spread across Emma's face, a burst of laughter bubbling up. "Wow... Dragons," she chuckled, staring around the room as other eggs hatched. "Real dragons... Can't say this is anything I thought I'd ever see." She ran her fingers across Maia's head, down the back of her neck, along the thicket of vines that curled around her back and tail.

Maia chirruped and made a clumsy attempt at standing on her hind legs, flaring out a pair of pale green wings with a branching skeletal structure. Emma hugged the dragon, arms wrapped around a mossy patch on Maia's back, careful not to get poked by the many twigs. Although Maia was hardly the biggest dragon in the room, her weight was enough to push Emma off-balance. She teetered and fell, causing a chirp of alarm from Maia. Still laughing, Emma sat up. "Hey. I'm ok," she reassured the dragon, stroking her on the head.

Glancing over, she noticed a similar dragon licking the face of the girl she'd spoken to earlier. She bounded over to Jo, Maia pattering along behind her. "You got the same type of dragon?" she said, glancing from Jo to the golden-eyed hatchling.

A yelp distracted her. She turned her head to see a girl who didn't seem to be having much luck with her dragon, nursing a bleeding hand. "You alright?" Emma asked the girl, approaching with Maia beside her. "I have a first aid kit here." She took her bag from her shoulder and rummaged through it for the emergency medical kit she kept for her outdoor activities.
@Heckno12 I'm guessing time skip is going to happen soon?
Sophia Danvers

@Heckno12 @AbysmalDemon

"Sounds like a plan," Sophia replied. So far, Rheese seemed like the best person to travel with. Better than that pretentious know-it-all who'd smirked at the demonstration of her abilities, or the loudmouthed diva who'd outright laughed. Rheese, at least, recognised her talent. He was the only one who did at the moment, but that was better than nothing.

"Yeah, I'd better find somewhere to stay," she said, standing up. Ugh, too quickly. Bad idea. She wobbled in place, grimacing and rubbing her forehead. "Got to be well rested for any gym battles. Not that they'll be a challenge." She could picture it, holding her first gym badge, proving her worth. The adventure she'd spent her life waiting for was actually happening, the first step on the path carved out for her accomplished. She'd fulfill her promise to her family, and make them proud.
@Heckno12 A tournament is exactly the kind of thing Sophia would go for. As for gym battles, I'm still strongly considering having the first one go badly (most likely Mesalon), but by the time she has a Staryu, a Lampent and a Clefairy, she should have beaten enough gyms to save up for evolutionary stones.

Also, she's not going to have a Clefairy for a while seeing as there are only a few caves and they're nowhere near. Unless she gets given a Cleffa egg. Is anyone going to be given eggs?
@fer1323 @Laach Is Orez likely to be the first person here Oscar actually gets along with?
Remembered I'm going to need three evolutionary stones for my called team... It'll take a while to save up.
~~~Lainie~~~
@FallenTrinity
Lainie didn't take offence at the dragon person's comment. He was speaking the truth - she could hardly call herself adept. The whiff of smoke that still trailed through the air was proof of that. "Uh..." Something about his attitude made her hesitate. As much as she admired confident and charismatic people, they could be a little intimidating. She chewed at her lip and looked down, not sure whether to accept his offer.
As he turned around and headed back down the hallway, she made up her mind. He was right about the nature of fire magic. She needed somebody to teach her control, and to better understand her power - not only was elemental magic unpredictable, it was one of the lesser-known types. Not even her coven had been able to help her all that much. Besides, this person seemed friendly enough. "You'd... be ok doing that? Um, that'd be great," she said softly, taking a few steps in his direction. "Thanks." She gave a slight, uneasy smile. "Uh, I'm Elaine. Everyone calls me Lainie though."
@Aspen Wren Ok. I'll enjoy seeing how unfallenangel and I write the same dragon type differently.
Forest fits Jo and Emma pretty well, they're both outdoorsy people.
Hm? I thought I got the forest dragon? Did Jo or Emma get that? @Aspen Wren you said you believed I got the forest dragon but I'll redo my post if I got a different one. Or do people sometimes get the same kind of dragon?
Sophia Danvers
@AbysmalDemon
Whether or not Sophia had been the first to get a second Pokemon, at least she wasn't the last. "Yeah... Might be an idea," she commented drily, thinking back to the disastrous battle she'd seen by the lab. How had that even gone so wrong, anyway? In any case, the Beldum looked to be in good form now.
The other Pokeball opened. "Gothi-ta?" After gazing around in fascination at all the other Pokemon, Gothita approached her exhausted trainer, worry in her wide blue eyes.
"Really," Sophia reassured the Pokemon, her voice much softer. "This is nothing. Just a slight headache." Ok, she'd just made the understatement of the year. She made a mental note not to go looking for Pokemon while in that state again. As she leaned down to pat Gothita, her surroundings spun, and she gripped onto the arm of the chair with a groan.
"Ita!" Gothita stared up at her.
Sophia forced herself to smile. "It's... alright." She reached down and stroked the bow-like feelers on the sides of the Gothita's head. This earned a cheerful squeak. "I'll be ok once I've rested a bit." She tickled the Pokemon behind the feelers, the sight of Gothita's happy face giving her mood a slight but well-needed lift.
