Bio

Current GM of World of Light. When it comes to writing, there's nothing I love more than imagination, engagement, and commitment. I'm always open to talk, suggestion, criticism, and collaboration. While I try to be as obliging, helpful, and courteous as possible, I have very little sympathy for ghosts, and anyone who'd like to string me along. Straightforwardness is all I ask for.

Looking for more personal details? I'm just some dude from the American south; software development is my job but games, writing, and trying to help others enjoy life are my passions. Been RPing for over a decade, starting waaaay back with humble beginnings on the Spore forum, so I know a thing or two, though I won't pretend to be an expert. If you're down for some fun, let's make something spectacular together.

@Itano, you read Kenkou Cross' Monster Girls Encyclopedia?@Irish/Lucius - I have no objections towards teaming with Abel/Bridget, I had a feeling it was going that way anyways.@WhoeverIsTheEmblemMaker(*Lugubrious?) - I would love a flaming White Tiger emblem for Kuhaku. Maybe with glowing sky-blue eyes?

We'll meet you at the train tunnel then.

As for the symbol, turns out that because of how layering works its pretty hard to make a burning tiger. Here's what I have--I can go back and remove either the burning halo or tailflame if you like, or I could go back and try to relocate the fire onto its head. Alternatively, I could do just the tiger head with a flaming eye.

Actually i already had this weapon and electricity power idea in a previous CS in an rp that never took off. That one was too OP though since it also shot lightning bolts so I removed some stuff. Reading yours reminded me that it originally was controlled by electricity. So in my opinion it still is my idea ... kinda.

My last word on the matter: we both had one good idea then. You thought of it first elsewhere, but I've already implemented it here. It remains with you whether or not you'd like a duplicate semblance. That could make for an interesting rivalry between our characters, though.

Welp reading your CS makes me wanna change mine a bit so that my character can control her weapon with it too. It would actually make more sense that way.

I don't have any authority here but I would discourage this all the same. I would have thought being unique would be a goal when it comes to making characters.
Mostly likely you'll be put with Priscilla, Greyson, and whoever their third was. Don't exactly remember.

It's also worth noting that your character's semblance is almost exactly like mine, oddly enough. Abel can conduct his semblance through his weapon as well, electrifying it and manipulating it. The notable difference is that he can gather it to release in a lightening bolt through his weapon; yours is that you spread that shocking effect to your body.

Team BBIG, Beliya, Bruce, Ineko, and Gideon, willbe heading into the caverns.(Also, Lugubrious, I put in a 6th set so that our NPC team can get dat fuckin artifacts.)

I love it.

On another note, I just now made the distinction between our different subterranean areas. Now would probably be a good time for the pairs Bridget & Abel and Gren & Kuhaku to head for either these 'caves to the east' or the Schnee train tunnel. Given GK's current location, the tunnel might be the best option, and AB can temporarily meet up with Team PHGM at the cave entrance only for them to enter as the entrance is blocked off in the ensuing battle. Galg, Lucius, Harine, any objections or other ideas?
Even though the trees of Forever Fall were generally knobby and rough, meaning that there were plentiful hand and footholds for the average climber, Abel was having a tough time of it. Scaling a tree trunk was an experience he had never had the pleasure of attempting before—even at Pallisade the closest he'd gotten was a rope attached to the ceiling. That was strength, but this was finesse. As he maneuvered around little branches and tears in the bark, doing his very best to avoid plummeting back to earth, he wished he had spent more time with that rope.

His full focus returned when the strip of bark his left hand clutched abruptly peeled away, leaving Abel scrabbling to hold on. After a few panicked moments, he steadied himself and breathed deeply. A dozen feet to his right and about three feet up, the Ampere was stuck fast in the trunk. For the second time he tentatively reached out a hand, moving slowly so as to not overbalance, and attempted to use his semblance to pull the weapon to him. Though the polearm fidgeted, trying to respond to its master's call, it didn't move. He was pretty much at the worst possible angle for this. If he had picked a different tree, remotely pulling the Ampere from the wood was entirely within the realm of possibility. Here, however, it was pointless.

So he jumped.

After gathering his strength, he pushed off his tree with both legs, kicking off shreds of bark. As he fell, he reached out for the Ampere again. This time the blade came free, sliding from the clutches of the wood and spinning through the air, wreathed in electricity, to his hand. “Hah,” he exclaimed when the familiar metal slapped into his hands, but his adulation faded as he pivoted around to land in the Emerald Forest for the second time. He managed to bring the weapon around in time and execute a diving plunge, transmitting most of his kinetic energy into the Ampere and impaling it to the ground while he landed safely behind it—and on his feet, no less.

Very pleased with himself indeed, Abel marched off into the forest at a brisk pace. There were artifacts to find.
For a moment, it seemed to Abel as if Bridget's luck had run out. As the girl stumbled, he prepared to wheel around and attempt to hold off the Ursa Major, however lethal that plan. It didn't even register with him that he had just basically decided he would risk his life to protect someone he only just met

Thankfully, the scytheblade shooting past his torso to latch onto a branch a little ways ahead signaled that neither teen would be facing death just yet. Abel adjusted his direction a little to allow Bridget to soar smoothly past him and regain the distance she lost. “Sorry about the splinters! Wasn't thinking!” He barreled beneath the tree she was perched in, his breathing ragged and the Grimm hard on his heels. It appeared that, in its eagerness to catch its fatigued prey, that the Ursa Major had developed tunnel vision; it charged after Abel, ignoring Bridget except for brushing against the trunk of her tree. Abel managed to notice this when he looked back to see if Bridget was following.

Abruptly, he changed direction, and leaped behind some bushes to his right. The Ursa, suddenly confused, altered course and smashed through the bushes, but Abel was no longer there. Instead, he stood still behind a trunk not too far away. Until the bearlike monster detected his scent in a few moments, he could do as he wished. “Head for the cave now!” He hollered at his partner. The Ursa Major, roughly forty feet away, perked up his ears and turned toward him. “I'll stall it!”

Abel jumped away again as the Grimm's burly arm tore the trunk into firewood. With a resolute shout he raised the Ampere and plunged it into the vermillion grass. Seeing only another obstacle, and a puny one at that, the Ursa Major attacked once more with a cruel horizontal swipe. Rather than disemboweling the boy, however, the blow's path was suddenly stopped by the Ampere's shaft, which vibrated violently from the impact and released a high-voltage shock into the large Ursa's paw. It recoiled, snarling at the strange, hurtful sensation as it rose up onto its hind legs, and Abel pulled his slightly-dented weapon from the earth to take advantage of the opening. The Grimm's head was an obvious target, particularly the darkened eye with its mottled flesh, but he knew aiming that high was too risky. An image of the Ursa Major batting the extended polearm away and ripping his intestines out flashed through Abel's head, and he instead sent a thrust at its stubby hind legs. His dirtied blade pierced the ebony fur, and the monster roared in pain. Spurred on by fear, Abel hightailed it out of there, leaving the wounded beast in his dust as he made for the cave Bridget had indicated earlier.
Looking forward to it!
