Bio

Current GM of World of Light. When it comes to writing, there's nothing I love more than imagination, engagement, and commitment. I'm always open to talk, suggestion, criticism, and collaboration. While I try to be as obliging, helpful, and courteous as possible, I have very little sympathy for ghosts, and anyone who'd like to string me along. Straightforwardness is all I ask for.

Looking for more personal details? I'm just some dude from the American south; software development is my job but games, writing, and trying to help others enjoy life are my passions. Been RPing for over a decade, starting waaaay back with humble beginnings on the Spore forum, so I know a thing or two, though I won't pretend to be an expert. If you're down for some fun, let's make something spectacular together.

Too concentrated on keeping the Ampere spinning quickly enough to keep himself free of bulletholes, Abel wasn't aware of what Bridgett was doing until she had already cleared him at grappled to the mecha with her chain blade. Forced by the constant pressure to remain attuned to his own problems, he couldn't make out exactly what she was doing either, but his questions were answered when the endless barrage of bullets toward his position was abruptly halved. Sparks flew from the wall like firecrackers where Bridgett aimed the minigun, and Abel realized he could advance. Still spinning the Ampere, he moved forward in a slow walk, trying to get too close for the mecha to fire at him without hitting its own exeskeleton or reaching the limits of its turret's pivoting range.

This momentary strategy turned to dust when one of the strangers threw himself into the mix. Though the light was limited, Abel knew instantly and without the shadow of a doubt that the attacking student wasn't human. In the heat of the moment, he couldn't think to identify him as a Faunus, but Kuhaku's unorthodox approach distracted him nonetheless. The feline boy's dark shape, faintly illuminated by his eyes, merged with that of the robot's. Its remaining turret paused for a moment as the robot adjusted itself to the new weight.

Abel saw the opportunity and took it. As Kuhaku was scaling the thing's back to join Bridgett, the guardian on the ground twirled the Ampere, changing it into staff mode in the process, before slamming its tip into the metal rail beside him. By infusing a great deal of low voltage energy into the metal, he caused bright sparks to erupt along it, partially and sporadically illuminating the tunnel. In the improved lighting he could see his partner and the Faunus clinging to the huge machine's upper back, as well as the other stranger -a big, heavily armored fellow- channeling something through the earth that seemed to be hindering the mecha's movement. It took Abel a second to realize that this guy was really helping him, but he didn't dwell on the thought. As he watched Kuhaku altered his weapon somehow and detonated it, sending both an explosion through the mecha's head and himself sailing through the air—in Abel's general direction. Before he could even begin moving to intercept, Kuhaku's momentum left him sprawling in the dust to cough out three foreboding words.

Abel rushed to his side, counting on this 'Gren' to keep him covered. Upon kneeling, Abel got a better look at Kuhaku. Now there could be no question that this guy was a Faunus, but that didn't really matter to Abel; in the space of a few seconds he had already proved his courage and talent. Putting a gloved hand on Kuhaku's shoulder, he quickly tried to ascertain if he was alright. While certainly worse for wear, it didn't look like the boy would be passing on anytime soon. In fact, Kuhaku's sky-blue Aura was already in effect.

The analysis was interrupted by the deafening sound of destruction. Abel rose and pivoted on his heels in time to see the first few slags of rock descend from the tunnel's roof and impact the floor. One fell directly on the track, mangling it and plunging the tunnel back into near-darkness. To his horror, he saw Bridgett (identifiable by her bright blue hair in the gloom) still holding fast to the mecha's back, despite the fact that the metaphorical sky was falling around her. At the rate the ceiling was collapsing, there was no way she could escape being entombed alive. Unless...

Abel used the last of his degraded aura to illuminate the tip of the staff mode Ampere once again. With the intensity of the glow, only incredible misfortune could keep Bridgett from seeing it. Picturing his partner grappling with the Rakurai through the trees, Abel held the Ampere in the air horizontally with both hands. “Bridge!” He hollered, putting everything he had into amplifying his voice. “Grapple to me!”

Despite the fact the OOC is well over 100 pages in and there are thousands of posts, I might as well ask since every other Rwby RP is more or less on life support: Is this roleplay still accepting?

Don't you worry; a good 60% of those OOC posts are nonsensical pics and gifs. If the GM isn't accepting as is, a spot might open very soon if Ionion doesn't post. Even then, AliceZaru's spot might still be open. I'm not quite sure really.
Are you two seriously fighting about this or just intensely goofing around?
Good episode today, though I could have gone without seeing Jaune in a dress, however, excellent it was story-wise.
I'm anxious to see this planning come to fruition.
Custom imps are like bread and butter for Keepers. It helps with the domain.
No more than thirty seconds deep in his trek into the murky darkness, Abel halted once more as he became aware of the ground faintly shaking beneath his feet. After quieting his breath, he quickly discovered that with every reverberation there came an accompanying noise from up ahead. Judging by his sense of hearing alone, Abel guessed that it was still several hundred feet away, around some sort of bend, and well beyond the range of his unpredictable electric light. He turned to Bridgett and exchanged a look with her, which she returned knowingly. Both suspected some sort of massive Grimm causing the tremors, and even though they were freshly free of a near-death encounter, neither felt like fleeing.

The sound of automatic gunfire, far more punctuated than that of a rifle, caught their attention. Without hesitation Abel took off running, swinging the Ampere with each stride and making its light even more frantic, and his partner followed close behind.

Upon rounding the bend, he beheld the scene. At first he didn't quite understand what he was seeing; when the mecha unleashed another fusillade of machine gun fire, illuminating its massive, inorganic form from the front, he quickly caught on. Despite the terrible light, he could hear and dimly see two humans fighting the thing. Truthfully, 'fighting' seemed an overstatement—at the moment, both were struggling to stay alive. They needed help.

Without waiting for any sort of confirmation from Bridgett, he ran forward, feet pounding against the railway. The urgency of his impetus effectively communicated his intentions to his partner, who ran after him. As he moved, Abel brought the Ampere level with the massive robot's back, waiting just for a moment to get a better idea of its scale. The thing absolutely dwarfed him, almost scraping the train tunnel's ceiling, which constrained it somewhat. Making a rough estimate as to the location of the mecha's upper back, he channeled his semblance to fire off a lightning bolt.

While the surge of electricity didn't seem to damage the mecha -or even stun it, for that matter- it managed to acquire the robot's attention. Its waist swiveled around to face Abel, leaving its back at roughly 60* angle to Gren. Abel, meanwhile, became very aware of the fact that the humongous machine's focus was now on him. TARGET ACQUIRED, it thundered, and Abel let go of the Ampere. “Please work,” he begged, and threads of electricity linked his hands and his weapon as span it at high speed in front of him. When the mecha opened fire, showering with bullets, most were intercepted by the spark-wreathed Ampere, sent flying off to the side or ricocheting back. One out of every hundred or so penetrated his makeshift barrier, however, and one of them grazed his cheek, making him flinch. “Do something!” He bellowed.
Ill be able to post this afternoon.
Whoa, interesting character alert!
