Bio

Current GM of World of Light. When it comes to writing, there's nothing I love more than imagination, engagement, and commitment. I'm always open to talk, suggestion, criticism, and collaboration. While I try to be as obliging, helpful, and courteous as possible, I have very little sympathy for ghosts, and anyone who'd like to string me along. Straightforwardness is all I ask for.

Looking for more personal details? I'm just some dude from the American south; software development is my job but games, writing, and trying to help others enjoy life are my passions. Been RPing for over a decade, starting waaaay back with humble beginnings on the Spore forum, so I know a thing or two, though I won't pretend to be an expert. If you're down for some fun, let's make something spectacular together.

Looks like we have an open space, then.
Abel's theme, probably.

We've been put on hiatus until Baklava posts next.

Hey guys, just a quick update, I was in the middle of posting last night, and my internet crapped out. I am at work right now, but will try to get a post up today.

That always sucks.
Right now, I think a good solution would be for Harine to control Kuhaku and Abel (henceforth called AK) for the moment. Abel can boost up Kuhaku to its torso, where he can scope out and begin probing at weak points in the machine's construction. This may or may not include bashing open the lockbox and retrieving the cards. Meanwhile, Abel can slice at its joints, mainly its 'knees' and 'ankles', to deal some damage and hinder its mobility. Once that's done, either AK can be forced to play defensively thanks to a new secret weapon on the mecha's part or just stand back. Then, GB can step in for their own tag-team, this time as a finisher, to rip apart the weaknesses that AK provided.
Conventional ammunition (IE nonexplosive machine gun rounds) can't be activated by electricity. To my knowledge they require impact to the back of the shell cases to ignite a very confined spark that ignites the gunpowder that shoots the bullet forward. At the very most, the robot would shoot up a few of its internal mechanisms, though I doubt the bullet feed is right by anything important.

Thing is, we don't need to get this technical. The same knowledge that aids our characters against the Grimm will work on this robot: no armor is perfect, and it will have weaknesses. Whether they be small uncovered points, loose bits like cables or wires, or armor that can be pried off, we can get around its metal shell and at the circuitry beneath. To quote Cheetor: "If you're bashing bots, hack at the hinges."

Plus, we don't even need to get it right the first time. With the robots turrets disabled and its chest-guns inoperable, it'll have to resort to melee. And despite its size and crushing strength, I'd say four super-powered teenagers in a whimsical world could beat it to death without any huge complications.
Barring the fact that a girl was able to sufficiently rip apart a huge monster bull to attack it from the inside, doing the same to a machine is going to be a whole lot harder. In efficient machinery there are no convenient empty compartments. That's not to say you can't try to attack its center, but physically getting in there might fly more in the face of logic than all the other nonsense we've been throwing around.
Sorry about the post order, Galg. Didn't even see your comment about it until just after my most recent post. I'd recommend you removing the artifacts soon, whichever plan you go with, before Kuhaku acts again. Which brings me to my next point...

Harine, feel free to control Abel for your next post for an epic tag-team takedown. He has minimal acrobatic ability, so he'd be most likely to chop at the joints in the robot's legs or pry off armor plates with the Ampere. He could also give Kuhaku a boost, springing off his shoulders or the Ampere when held sideways. Please refrain from using any lightning bolts, seeing as that ability needs to recharge, so to speak. This will be after Gren/Bridgett secure the lockbox.
The same grinding noise that caught Kuhaku's attention alerted Abel that, predictably, the mecha was still online. Abel supposed that he had never really thought that simple rocks could penetrate its metal armor, but had fooled himself into believing so to focus on Bridgett and Kuhaku instead. Now that the mecha was online, he finally had something breakable to vent at.

“TARGET ACQUIRED

Before Abel could begin his assault, however, Kuhaku had already reached him. The guardian rolled his eyes; courage was admirable, but if this Faunus had no self-preservation instincts, both protecting and sympathizing with him would be a lot harder. Abel sprinted forward when his new partner effectively disarmed the mecha by forcibly realigning its miniguns into the ground. As he approached, he attentively watched the Faunus embed his sword in the fearsome machine's torso, ram it in deeper with his shield, and push himself off the thing's armor to flip through the air. His urgent request echoed through the tunnel. If Gren and Bridgett weren't already on their way, they would be now.

Eager to help any way he could, Abel had already leveled the Ampere at the stuck sword before he realized just how terrible an idea it was. The guardian guessed that his comrade wanted him to supercharge his sword with electricity, channeling the energy to the machine's core to fatally disrupt it, but a lightning bolt wasn't so easily directed. In conditions as dry as these, Abel had minimal control over where his electricity went once discharged, meaning it would seek the nearest conductive material in an effort to find ground. The chance that the bolt would behave perfectly and hit the sword was unattractively slim. Worse, since humans are more than two-thirds water, the bolt could just as easily strike Abel.

Deciding not to take his chances, Abel flipped the Ampere over in his hand and held it like a javelin, though it was still in staff mode. He then allowed his remaining aura to surge through it. By the time Kuhaku landed, confused as to why Abel had not yet unleashed the wrath of the heavens upon the robot, Abel had sufficiently charged the dust crystal at the Ampere's core—but the mecha had also pulled itself together. As it rose to its full height, scattering debris everywhere and readying its miniguns to reduce Abel and Kuhaku to bloody ribbons, the guardian saw the Faunus's sword glint in the radiated azure light. Grunting, he threw the Ampere and guided it with his semblance. The weapon sailed over Kuhaku's head and weakly bopped against the inserted blade.

That wimpy impact proved enough for the Ampere to discharge, however. All at once, the electricity stored in the weapon flooded through Kuhaku's sword and into the mecha. The robot's circuits in its torso flash-fried, and the machine guns span to a halt, unable to fire.

Abel raised his open hand, and threads of energy flashed between his fingers and the Ampere. The falling weapon shot toward him, spinning like a boomerang, and landed in his glove with a smack. He took the last few steps separating him and Kuhaku and stood beside him. He switched the Ampere to blade more, and it clanged into position with a metallic note of finality. “Let's get this over with.”
To preserve post order, I wasn't planning on being the next person to post. I can, of course, if I was expected to.
