Bio

Current GM of World of Light. When it comes to writing, there's nothing I love more than imagination, engagement, and commitment. I'm always open to talk, suggestion, criticism, and collaboration. While I try to be as obliging, helpful, and courteous as possible, I have very little sympathy for ghosts, and anyone who'd like to string me along. Straightforwardness is all I ask for.

Looking for more personal details? I'm just some dude from the American south; software development is my job but games, writing, and trying to help others enjoy life are my passions. Been RPing for over a decade, starting waaaay back with humble beginnings on the Spore forum, so I know a thing or two, though I won't pretend to be an expert. If you're down for some fun, let's make something spectacular together.

So sorry about my inactivity! It's been such a slow week for all my RPs that I haven't been paying too much attention, so I missed some of the events in this one. I will post right away.
As the day wore on, Midna spent her time alternatively sleeping and rehearsing. For lack of a better place to do so, she performed her resting and planning in shadowform; after taking off the warded hair clasp that allowed her to remain corporeal in the World of Light, she couldn't help but revert to a two-dimensional, transparent version of herself. In such a body, she was able to effectively disappear from questing eyes, and she could wander Castle Town freely and nap wherever she pleased.

At length, the shadows grew long. Midna turned her eyes to the sky and saw the orange sun making a grand exit over the horizon. It was the hour at which day turned to night. Though this foreshadowed the special event that would formally introduce her to the world, Midna didn't feel at all happy. Instead, a strange sort of sadness took hold of her. She cast her mind back to the faces she had left behind, her father, her friends, and more. The Twilight Princess felt not any surges of excitement; she felt only a pervading loneliness at this fateful hour.

Nevertheless she began to move, turning back from the stables where she currently found herself and quickly heading to Castle Town Square.

A small throng of people had already gathered, anticipatory of her arrival thanks to the spreading rumors. This instilled a mite of satisfaction in Midna as she floated invisibly up to the fountain at the square's center. Once hovering above it, she slipped her clasp back onto her hair, allowing her to regain form. Almost instantly a townsperson noticed her and released a startled exclamation, but Midna's charming smile dispelled any ideas of hostility. The attention of the rest of the townsfolk present took only another few moments to gather. Among the low-pitched chatter, Midna could make out a few statements like, “the rumors are true.” Truer than you know.

“Good evening!” she sang, silencing the Hylians' talk. “As you have undoubtedly heard by now, I am Princess Midna. I am here on behalf of the Twilight Realm to utter a grievance.” She allowed that to sink in for a moment, and marked the confusion etched onto a couple faces. “My complaint is this: the good people of Hyrule are governed by an inefficient and antiquated monarchy. What is monarchy, you may ask? It is the system of leadership in which a single person, the king, holds absolute power. The only things in the way of such a king -or princess- are the extent of her ambition and the strength of the people. This is not so where I come from, and after I explain, I am sure that we will all share the same resolve.”
Compendium Entry:
Dahlia, Maid of Metal - given that not many people, particularly women, live to see the age of forty-four in the rugged, perilous northern highlands of the kingdom of the Cypriots, Dahlia has experienced much in her life. Both her weariness and her toughness are etched into her face, and while she is not as big or strong as many in the company of warriors she leads, she is revered by her troops for her intelligence and oftentimes-brutal efficiency. Having defended the kingdom from the looming threats of fire and ice for many years, she was nevertheless expected to hand down leadership of her Iron Brigade to her lieutenant, her twenty-year-old daughter Heather. This changed, however, when a foray into a dangerous ruin chanced to discover the Despot's Armor.

The Tower - a hulking suit of enchanted armor. This dark gray, gold-embellished suit conforms to the one who wears it, provided they be 'worthy' -which Dahlia evidently was- and grants that individual its power. New strength flooded into Dahlia's body, empowering her beyond all previous comparison, and allowing her and her Iron Brigade to perform deeds worthy of local legend. With a brilliant juggernaut at its head, the Iron Brigade could take on much more difficult assignments, and nearly always manage to come out on top. Even Dahlia's health improved, quickly returning from the brink of degeneration. Remarkably, she appeared to be getting younger when seen out of her precious armor, though she grew more and more attached to it. Within the suit, however, she is not alone, and communes with the Tower's steely voice. It demands more and more from her for the privilege of its use, effectively locking her within itself. Time will tell if she's the Maid of Metal, or is made of metal, after all.
I am going to skip ahead to the event tomorrow morning.
You have my support as always.
I like it, though you might want to consider putting the 'extra information' about Monolith into a subhider.
Did we ever decide if this RP is going in Nations or Casual.
Sloth, Seraph, Archer, please report in. Do not let Redwing's defection mess with you.
Both of those sound awesome. I was thinking of trying the Samurai Warlord Uekaru again. I've done bugs twice and ghosts once now, so I figure something else is in order.
I am. Don't know about anyone else.
