Current GM of World of Light. When it comes to writing, there's nothing I love more than imagination, engagement, and commitment. I'm always open to talk, suggestion, criticism, and collaboration. While I try to be as obliging, helpful, and courteous as possible, I have very little sympathy for ghosts, and anyone who'd like to string me along. Straightforwardness is all I ask for.

Hello! Recently, the GM of the old Heroes of Beacon gave up on us, but a couple of us weren't quite ready to quit. After a quick survey, it was decided that I would be leading chapter two. Don't let that discourage you, however: we need young blood more than ever! Here's how we're going to boogie:
The next chapter begins on the night of the teaming ceremony. My first post will be from Ozpin's perspective, and he will name the teams. The teams who have players who've gone inactive can choose to either pick new teammates, or make the former characters into NPCs. Then, any of you who are interested in joining up will also be teamed. All this will be settled in the OOC, and if you have no preference for others, I will choose for you. After a brief interlude, day two -and all the fun- will begin. This was honestly, for a time, my favorite roleplay; here's hoping that I can continue the legacy!
Basically this roleplay will follow the story line of RWBY: Volume 1. With added emphasis on school life and training for the tournament, which will later be revealed in Vol. 2, the RP will revolve around character development and will be open to plot changes and ideas from everyone who participates. There is no real script you have to follow, this is just supposed to be really fun. ^^
### Character Sheet
Name: (can start with the initial of the chosen Color)
Age: (16-21)
Gender:
Race: (ex. Faunus)
Weapon:
Specialty: (Fighting style, or the sort of role you fit into in combat)
Semblance: (Unique to everyone, must derive from their personality)
Personality: (Ah, characterization. It has the potential to be as infinitely complex as the human mind itself, but short and sweet will do too. Your character's motivation should ideally go here. And it can't hurt to have some quirks!)
Color: (Pick one that hasn't been done...or at least, describe it in a new word. Just search 'shades of x color' on wikipedia)
Emblem: (describe with words, please)
Appearance: (you may use an image if so inclined, but even if you do, I'll still probably make one for you.)
### Rules:
1. Everyone should know the rules by now. I will try to be nice about them, but any stupidity is right out
2. Endeavor to be civil to your fellow rpers. It can be tough for a bunch of artists to work on the same painting, but the end result is all the more beautiful.
3. Casual standards please. At least a paragraph or two, and try to post at least once every few days if not more often. Nothing is more lethal to a roleplay than lackadaisicality.
4. Do try to enjoy yourself, double-oh-seven.
5. Also if you plan to be gone more than a day or two, kindly let someone know. After three days your character will be subject to basic controlling. (ex. Studying alone.)
6. Lastly, while I am the only GM, I will try to be flexible. Should someone else prove they are capable enough and ask to be made Gm, I will surely consider it.

Basically it's going to start out on a new thread, but we'll have this one linked, and everything that happened in this one is still valid. That way, we can get some new blood in here to replace those that have gone. I'll be expecting those of you who have agreed to stay to report in. Sound good?
Navi's entrance was both unexpected and somewhat awkward for Midna; after a long day spent traveling around the city followed by a messy skirmish in the fountain plaza square, she had wanted nothing more to retire somewhere private and relax. In the process of doing so, she had removed her dirtied cloak and half-dress and placed them aside for her to wash later. While she would have preferred someone else to do such a mundane task, she had nobody else but Zant, and the maintenance of clothing seemed a task uniquely unsuited for him.
As such, when Navi dropped through the slightly-open shutters and assumed human form, Midna was -at least in the human sense- naked.
Not quite, though. When Navi, keen to say her piece and get the meeting over with, first spoke, Midna froze in surprise. Instinctively, the thin, cloth-like shadows that covered her spread out to envelop her completely, turning her normal black-and-white visage into one of complete inkiness. Only her eyes and hair retained their usual warm hues. Beneath the shadowy folds, her pale cheeks reddened with embarrassment. Midna recognized Ciela, though, and was slightly more at ease. The shadows retracted to their usual positions, revealing an indignant expression on the face of the Twilight Princess.
“So much for relaxing. I could have sworn that Hylians, like Twili, had etiquette concerning privacy. What is it you need to talk to me about...miss?”
Probably time to explain the backstory I have for Midna and Zant.
With many of the characters in this RP, we are dealing with reincarnations. For these two, it is not so. They are, in fact, the originals. However, they come from a parallel universe (there are tons of these in the Zelda universe apparently) where Zant never worked up the courage to confess his feelings for Midna to her, and was thusly never scorned, and never began the drastic cycle of bitterness and betrayal that resulted in the events of Twilight Princess. When King Mizorant, at Zant and Midnas' request, opened a portal to the World of Light, he unknowingly made it through time as well as space, and that is how the two characters arrived in this world. This is why Midna so flatly denies Navi's claims: they haven't happened yet, for her.
Naturally none of this information can be used IC.
Scrub and I aren't the only ones still active, are we? I was thinking of involving Ben, but if his player is gone I might adopt a different action.
Heavy has been doing exactly that, thinking that others are civilians, teammates, or opposing mercenaries. Bastet, being a goddess, has a little more clairvoyance.
