Bio

Current GM of World of Light. When it comes to writing, there's nothing I love more than imagination, engagement, and commitment. I'm always open to talk, suggestion, criticism, and collaboration. While I try to be as obliging, helpful, and courteous as possible, I have very little sympathy for ghosts, and anyone who'd like to string me along. Straightforwardness is all I ask for.

Looking for more personal details? I'm just some dude from the American south; software development is my job but games, writing, and trying to help others enjoy life are my passions. Been RPing for over a decade, starting waaaay back with humble beginnings on the Spore forum, so I know a thing or two, though I won't pretend to be an expert. If you're down for some fun, let's make something spectacular together.

Dual Monolith / Dahlia post coming soon.
Still watching this. I'll probably eventually join at this point, if that's okay.
Hearing her guild master concerned for her safety, while endearing, made Fleo ground her teeth. She wanted to use the gifts she had been given, not sit by the sidelines where it was safe. So what if she got hurt? Her greatest pain was not being able to do anything, and she felt that few mortal wounds could come close to that degree of soul-rending agony. Fleo was sure, more than anything, that she would much rather her candle burn short and bright rather than last a lifetime unlit.

But the dusty girl bit her tongue and stepped to the side with Felix and Damian. Her resentment quickly metamorphosed into worry as Jamie attacked. The woman who had entered, Angelica, was not a stranger to Fleo—she knew that this shadow-wielder was a member of the council. How could that be possible? Had she defected from the grand magic-regulating international agency to take out a personal vendetta on Jamie? Or had Pheonix Wing done something so irreparably horrible that the council had sent out its most ominous wizard to take it down? Fleo couldn't help but bemoan the fact that such a dramatic event in the guild's lifetime had to happen on her first day as one of its members.

Her eyes followed the combat to the best of their ability. The duel between Jamie and Angelica was fast, furious, and -as far as Fleo could discern- an even match. The two flowed like a rushing river around one another, parrying and thrusting and dipping and slashing in a display of blade mastery. Fleo couldn't help but notice that Jamie seemed unnaturally calm. Either the master was such a prodigy in the art of swordsmanship to allow its instinct to take over, or its mind was wandering. Fleo tried not to let the latter option increase her concern.

For a moment it looked like Jamie's box had entrapped its opponent and decided the battle. A cheer was on Fleo's lips the second before Angelica melted away into a darkness—a darkness that stung the guild master between the ribs. Fleo's adulation turned into a cry of anger and dust billowed around her. She didn't even spare a thought to the rashness of her action. Fleo had been a member of Pheonix Wing already an hour, but its connection with her, sealed by the mark on her belly, filled her with emotion.

But just as quickly it was over. Angelica suffered a wound even more lightening-quick, and far more effective. In less dire circumstances Fleo would have questioned the need to put handcuffs on someone that had been stabbed, but she contented herself with staring listlessly at Angelica until Jamie called out for aid. Fleo was the first to the guild master's side, muttering “Dust Craft: bandages.” Thousands of minuscule particles, highly absorbent, very soft, and locked into one another like puzzle pieces, formed in her hand in the shape of a strip of cloth. Fleo offered it to the guild master for a moment, then quickly decided to apply it herself and save Jamie some trouble. “Will this help? Are you going to be okay? That was insane. Is this an everyday occurrence for this guild? Don't answer that, nevermind. Dumb questions.”
I had a mildly interesting idea for an Edo-Fleo. I an opportunity comes up to introduce her let me know.
I'm my own worst critic honestly and I've gone through about 7 different permutations of a single idea and it just doesnt fit. Then I change it to something else and it ends up worse. Idk... I honestly think I'm just burnt out on The RWBY world....which sucks.

That does suck. Let us be your critics instead. Post a shell of an idea and see what we think.
I'm so sorry. I've been trying to make a character and...its just not fitting. I think I'll need to renege my intrest. Sorry again.

That stinks. Are you sure you'd rather give up than ask the rest of us for help?
An ominous feeling settled over Fleo, one totally unassisted by Damian's summoning. She found the brief mention of Edolas interesting, but from the succinct fashion in which her guildmate described it, there didn't seem to be anything more interesting about it. There had been tales of alternate dimensions throughout the pockets of the magical world she had been acquainted with, and this Edolas seemed like nothing more. Fleo did extend her well-wishes to her comrades trapped in this Edolas place, hoping that there were adequate Animas to bring them back safely. She assumed that Animas were wizards, perhaps specialized in Territory magic.

Despite Damian's display Fleo felt not at all inclined to simply 'wait here'. Her last guild had rated her an A-class wizard, even if she had modestly insisted that it was giving her too much credit. Who was this guy to order her around? Making up her mind, she followed in his wake, her dusty feet making no sound on the guild hall's floor. When Jamie began to speak, however, she balked. If the guild master spoke with such sincere dread, this Angelica woman he addressed could be nothing short of a monstrosity. Fleo held a hand up, palm facing the ceiling, and dust began to gather among the bandages. As she did so, she moved away until she was out of the way of the door, anticipating it to erupt into a shadowy explosion any second.
Hmm. No posts in three days. Kaithas, I can totally forgive you, as well as those who posted most recently, like SevenStormStyle. Everyone else? I dunno. Perhaps I'm not the only one in a transitional period because of Spring Break starting.
@All people, let's get fifth period wrapped up. Teachers, do a 'and time passed, and all this happened' post. If necessary, PM some peeps to see if they're okay with you saying certain things happened with their character. The way I see it, we'll get the official school day wrapped up, and we'll have a late afternoon/dinner/evening that is largely free-reign.

Also, I am going to start the next contest soon if nobody else wants to do one.
I'm somewhat neutered when it comes to making a new post since nothing has happened between now and my last post other than Damian summoning his swords. Jamie mentioned Angelica but I have nothing to go off of. After Caits posts, I will.
HEEEELLLOOOOOO EVERYONE!

How are you?

I'm curious to see what's going to happen at the Guild Hall.
