Current I don't think they are ignoring us. Believe it or not I'm sure the mods/admin have lives outside of this and require sleep.

$80 for building a Commander deck is not to bad. I know my own started out inexpensive but slowly grew as I added cards. Pretty sure most of them are close to or over $200.

Is it just me or has the number of ads increased rather dramatically? I'm seeing them in the middle of people's posts now.

Did not expect to see a new mobile layout today. Definitely different and it'll probably take some getting used to.

Bio

Suppose it's better late than never to add this.

I enjoy Starwars, Lord of the Rings, The Expanse book series, Warhammer, gaming, Game of Thrones, and D&D.

Might add more later, might not.

I'll make some edits here in a few.
By the time Gwen had finished the letter, her plate was mostly empty, the food now cold. A half-frown crossed her face before she had the letter saved to some personal drive with all the others she had written and never sent. She knew Concern had access to the drive and some corporate screener was probably reading them. Eventually she might get around to sending them, though Gwen wasn't sure her father wanted to talk to her at all. Regardless, it was now time to get started with the day.

Before starting the small chores to tend to the apartment, Gwendlyn went to her bedroom to put her prosthetic arm on. Just another part to the morning rituals before going to work. The clean up of the little apartment kitchenette did not take long, the scraps of food plate and fork discarded to the dome's recycler to be turned into compost, and the pans cleaned with minimal water usage. Once the small chores were done, she grabbed her satchel and started to make her way to the Cauldron. She stopped briefly at one of the other kitchenettes when she saw both Arthur and Adesso. Isaac looked like he had barely slept again. Arthur looked to be in a fairly chipper mood as usual. A quick glance about told her that Xi had left her lab for once, and Yev was out and about as well. She gives a nod to both Eel and Adesso before taking off, not really making eye contact with either Xi or Yev.

Once at the Cauldron, Gwen takes a jar of dried tobacco out and sets it in Arthur's work area with a note. The note read that it might be awhile before the next batch is ready. She could smell the faint odor of coffee that barely lingered, mixed into the constant smell of lubricants and metal that permeated the Cauldron. It reminded Gwendlyn her of home. The smell from working in the factory never really washed out of the coveralls and new ones only went a matter of a day or so before they soaked up the smells. Most of the workers were nose blind to it most of the time if not completely.

She noted that the harvester was already in the shop, one of the other two must have just recalled it without waiting to much. Gwen would leave it alone until whoever recalled it got here before offering to help with it. She pulled up the list of requests again this time flagging a few requests to be added to her to-do list for today, a charger for one of orchard harvesters was shorting out, the controls for the milking machines needed a visual inspection, and the pumps for cooling tank 4 were needing preventative maintenance.

Gwendlyn grabbed her tool kit and a few of the parts she would need for these first three jobs and placed them on one of the enclosed electric carts that were kept in the Cauldron, normally used for people to get around the dome quicker than on foot. Once her cart was ready, Gwen took the slender wooden pipe from her satchel, a pinch of tobacco from her own jar, and the pack of matches that she had. With the pipe prepared, she lights it taking a few puffs before stepping through one of the main entrances of the Cauldron into the open air of the dome. Her focus sharpened with each puff, her mind overall calmer and quieter. It was going to be a busy day and she wanted to check in with the other two before heading out, so here she sat just outside the Cauldron while she waited for them to make their way here.
It has been very pleasant to read. I have found myself re-reading the snippet involving Gwen's parents. You did really well with it
“Rise and shine. Today is a new day. Today is another chance for you to be the best you. I believe in you. Good luck today. Today’s climate is approximating the early autumnal periods of historic Italian records. There will be a few light rain showers periodically from the hours of 1200 to 1600, so be prepared for inclement weather. "

Gwendlyn responded with a loud groan. "Mornin already? I feel like I just fell asleep..." She rubbed her eyes to try to push the sleep away. Blearly eye she looks around the room for the disembodied voice of Holiday, stopping when she sees the mostly empty glass quart jar she had opened last night. The room smelled of the clear liquor she had made two days ago, harsh like a strong disinfectant. Apparently, some had spilled onto the floor when she had passed out. By now it had mostly dried and left some residue on the plascrete floor.

"Miss Neilson, it would seem that the optical viewport in your immediate hallway is on the fritz again. I do not think your repair from the fire quite connected the wires correctly. When you have the time, I would like to be able to see you again. Thank you.”

"And I told you the connector pins have gone bad. Once the new pins get here I'll replace them. There should be a requisition order in for them. It was a half truth. The pins were bad, and there were new ones requested. The request however was intentionally marked as lowest priority for fulfillment, and there was a small stash of said pins that Gwen had managed to scrounge up and keep off the books. Those were reserved for when the robots needed new one now and could not wait.

"Besides you will be able to see me throughout the rest of the day. Now the harvester that is having the malfunction, when can we get it offline for visual inspection?" Gwen asked Holiday while finally dragging herself from her disheveled bed and getting dressed for the day. She picked up the jar and poured the last few drops out into her tea mug.

Within fifteen minutes Gwen had finished making her meager breakfast of dried mushroom and powdered egg scrambled with toast. The tea was a simple green with some rose petals to mask the harshness of the little bit of liquor she had added to the tea. While she ate, she reviewed the list of maintenence requests as well as the locations of the possible oil leaks. Kaplan was going to ask about when the oil will be taken care of, Gwen would need to get with Adesso and Arthur to get it figured out and thus keep Kaplan content. Hopefully it wasn't anything critical.

The harvester was another puzzle, the maintenance logs on it showed routine work over the last year with nothing noted looking damaged. It was possible that a rock had been mistakenly put in the path of the machine and damaged something. Or it could have been someone was trying to make their own repairs again without notifying her or the other maintenence personnel. Gwen flagged it to be pull from rotation for inspection and repairs as soon as possible, preferably tomorrow, and took a sip from her tea.

She put the tablet down taking a break from the list and looked up to the picture she had on the wall. The photo was of her and her parents just before she had completed her apprenticeship as an electrician. They had taken her out to eat at a rather pricy diner, at least by their standards. With a sad smile Gwen picked the tablet up again and started to type out a letter to her father before heading out to start the day.
Aurora

The elf blinks in confusion and astonishment when Juniper brings Jub to her. It was telling in how well trained the owlbear was. Whoever was Juniper's owner must have spent a lot of time and effort to get her to this point. "Thank you Juniper." She says in Elvish before turning to the others.
"Are you ok Jub? I didn't expect her to pick you up and bring you to me." Aurora asked while offering to help Jub up. "I may have gotten more than I bargained for by freeing her." She said quietly to Jub before looking to Voth and a still clearly angry Brutrumukk. Voth was clearly saying something to the gnome, what Rory was not sure. This might be something to ask Jub about later.

Once they had arrived at the cave Clapperclaw was leading them to, Aurora turned to see if Juniper was still following them. A faint smile passed over her face seeing that she was following, even if it was at a distance. She waits to enter the cave for a few moments, stopping to read the next wanted poster pinned to a tree. The poster seemed to be yet another offer of reward for bringing Will of the Feywild to this Granny Nightshade.

With a shake of her head, Aurora heads into the cave to meet Nibs. The elf was a bit surprised to see him spinning gold into some fiber. "Excuse me, but why are you turning gold into fibers?"
Well I guess we kind of have an owlbear friend. I was not expecting her to fetch Jub though.
I would also like to ask if the fast hands bonus as a thief be applicable here, since use object can be a bonus action. Essentially the grapple check meets Aurora's AC but the clasps would be undone anyway.
Aurora

Aurora rolled her eyes at Voth's attempt to throw a stick to get Juniper to chase after. Taking one hand away from petting the owlbear, Aurora started to undo the harness from the chariot. Once Juniper is free of it, the elf gathered as much of the jerky as she had to give to the owlbear. "I know it's not enough, but you should be able to find more when you get home or in your hunting of this area. Either way you are free to do as you will."
