My post is up!
Kneeling behind the bar counter, Rhaedin peered around the corner of it, watching Elrithian cast a spell of illusion. She could feel the magic in the air, it felt heavy, tense, and full of electricity. A glowing circle appeared on the floor, causing the bandits heads to turn. Slowly the monster emerged out of the air. Quickly she looked to Sevine who was peeking over the bar, watching the bandits with scrutiny. Sevine sensed that familiar eyes had fallen upon her and she turned to look in Rhaedin's direction. With her eyes now on the captain, Rhaedin signalled for Sevine to ready herself.

Rhaedin then turned towards Erahja, and crept over to her. She touched Erahja's forearm, keeping her voice low, Rhaedin leaned in towards the Rakasha ranger and whispered, "Get ready. Wait for my signal. We're going to move behind them when their attention is focused on the illusion."

With that, Rhaedin returned to her station at the far end of the bar. From here, she could see the bandits without them taking notice of the women's presence behind the bar. A small clinking noise caught her attention and the elfess looked in Sevine's direction to only to discover that the witch had obtained a few bottles of uncorked wine, holding two in each hands. The red-haired witch met her gaze and offered her nothing more than a meek shrug as an explanation. Rhaedin made no comment for she returned her eyes to the bandits. The witch was an odd one at that, Rhaedin was certain.

It didn't take long before a lean and slender man noticed the glowing circle soon followed by the apparition. "What in Sarmon's name is…that?" The man was sitting on an overturned barrel by the entryway. His finger, trembling with fear, raised up, and pointed towards the illusion.

"Charun what are you blabberi-…What the..?!" He reached for his dagger at his side, his eyes were wide with fright. The terrified bandit failed to retrieve his dagger as it fell to the floor, clattering loudly. The next events occurred in an immediate succession. One bandit after another turned their gaze to look up at the apparition as well. In unison, they startled with shock and horror, and in a mad dash to hopefully defend themselves against this grotesque monster. One bandit who was a bowman, fired an arrow at the being, whether his aim was true he could not tell, his hand had trembled too much. He hoped that he would injure the thing in hopes of frightening it away, back down the cellar where it had come.

Rhaedin looked to Sevine and curled her hand into a fist, and pointed her index finger towards her. The witch nodded in acknowledgement, she was ready, wines bottles still in hand. Then her gaze skipped to Erahja. Instead of pointing just the one finger, Rhaedin pointed her index and middle finger at Erahja, that was her signal. Rhaedin turned about and crept to the edge of the bar. She pressed herself flat to the bar, she crawled with her toes pumped, she wanted to minimalize the sound of their movements. It was here when she saw the chaos began to unfold as the bandits reacted in horror to Elrithian's illusion.

She rose up into a crouch and sprinted across the room, sticking to the shadows which there were plenty of. The first bandit she came upon was distracted by Elrithian's magic. She snuck up behind him, approaching him where his gaze would not fall, on the edges of his peripheral vision. Rhaedin sprang on him, she grasped his head with her hands, and snapped his neck. The sound of the bone breaking was loud enough for her to hear, but not over the noise of the bandits yelling aloud in fear. The bandit dropped to the floor without another word.

Sevine did not have her stave on-hand, so she needed to have something to fight back with. Her choice? Four full bottles of wine. There were a couple of bar fights that she had witnessed in Yr'tahm before her departure to Kvechuk. Apparently, bottles were a force to be recognized as a viable weapon. They could drop a man cold where he once stood. Plus once the bottles broke, the sharp glass edges became an easier weapon to wield.

She followed Rhaedin's lead, watching in astonishment as the captain snapped a man's neck in two. Sevine tucked one wine bottle under her armpit, giving her the ability to swing the wine bottle freely. She crept past Rhaedin, moving along the walls. Her target was a heavier built bandit, obviously used as muscle in the circle of crime. If she could knock him out, Sevine could then begin to eliminate the ones surrounding the hostages.
The hostages held at the center of the bar, tied together with rope, sobbed in fear at the sight of the monster. They had no idea that it was merely an illusion, they were simple folk who did not trouble themselves with things they did not understand.

Sevine attacked the heavier bandit as he struggled to unsheathe his axe from its bindings, he took no note of her. She gave him no chance to react though, and attacked immediately, smashing the bottle of wine over his balding head. The bottle exploded, sending wine and shards of glass over the bandit. He looked at Sevine with a blank expression, it didn't faze him. She reached for the bottle under her armpit, and repeated the assault. The bandit wasn't ready for the next bottle, and this time, he dropped to the floor, knocking over the table and chair at which he had just sat.
Tzarima, thank you! You're amazing :)

Nightwing, hired muscle hmmm? That hadn't crossed my mind yet. When I was trying to think of how a desert city would act/run and I kept thinking about Aladin, the Disney movie. It's been awhile since I've last watched, say, 14 or 15 years ago? But you're right, a desert city like Almeria deserves to be the thieves captial.

I don't have a problem with you adding more back story, I wrote somewhere, the more backstory will help you in the future.

Providence

Being taken hostage isn't exactly advantageous for her. So any chance she sees to get out (say, a group of people escaping the cellar), she'd probably take.

That may be, but just remember, Narcia may not be freed until someone from our group frees her. She is more than welcome to join the fight afterwards.

That sounds like a good idea, there doesn't seem to be too much interest in Fauns unfortunately. This group of people would no doubt be hardy, if they are living in Almeria.

Yeah, I think I might keep them around as NPCs. And yes, the group living in Almeria would need to be hardy. The environment out there is unimagineable. But Almeria is an oasis, truly it is. There are no other sources of freshwater nearby, at least for 300 hundred miles. It is also known as the City of Thieves. I'm trying to determine what they should look like. Either Bedouin or Egyptian influences. Perhaps they are rivals with the Rakasha..
Tzarima, would you please post it in the IC? Your post is essential to the story since it's Ellie's time to shine at the moment. I have the next post ready too, it's a transitioning post into the actual bandit fight scene.

Providence, Nightwing, and Captain, have you thought about how you would introduce your characters?

I'm not sure if I mentioned this, but currently, our group consisting of: Rhaedin, Sevine, Zal, Sid the Dog, Erahja, and Elrithian are in the Drearie Ponde Inn, a tavern/inn in a village called Ugparth. Inside the inn are bandits that wear blue hand-kerchiefs, they kidnapped our group late last night and held us hostage in the cellar (there were 8 in the cellar with us that we slaughtered, including the bandit leader) but now we're breaking out. In the bar, there there are 12 bandits and a group of the townspeople, all bound together.

Our goal is to eliminate the bandits, and minimalize the casualties, saving the hostages if we can. If you're having troubles with an introduction you could be one of the hostages mistaken for a townsperson or even a traveller stopping at the inn. You could be on the outside of the inn, not involved with the conflict. Or you could even be further up the road. But ideally, place yourself close to the group as possible. However, if all three of you chose to be apart of the hostages at the inn, you will have to wait for us to free you, there will be no escaping beforehand [ONLY if you CHOOSE to be a HOSTAGE]. If you stayed in the inn the evening before, you will be considered a hostage. The bandits took everyone hostage. Because our group came in together as a party of six, sporting weapons and upon horses, they believe we are worth something of value. This is a good thing for you new comers though, this means that if you are apart of the hostages, you went undetected, or drew the least attention.

Now, since this is a player immersive roleplay, the NPCs are at use to your desposal. However, you may not create your own NPC that interferes with the story unless I grant you permission. The given NPCs, I reiterate, are for you to use. If you want to have a lengthy conversation, or an argument, or even a game of gambling, you are in full control of how things turn out and what happens. Refrain from drawing the plotline away from the desired direction unless I say so. This is your world too, but our journey together.
Thank you (: Ah, you know sometimes that happens.

Ok, I edited the crap out of the Reference Sheet, so it looks a bit more tidy than it did before. Also, I have decided to remove the Fauns from the character roster. I'm thinking about replacing them with a group of people that live in Almeria, the independent city-state in the Darath Desert.
Nightwing, I thought you were going to be a Rakasha? Well no matter. There is just a slight problem with your CS.

I'm afraid that the Glass Bow infused with Dragon's Blood cannot be allowed at this point in time. None of our other participants possess enchanted weapons, if I were to allow you to keep the bow, it would upset the balance of fair play. The Amber Sword makes me a bit uncomfortable, but I think I'll tolerate it due to the fact that this is a player immersive roleplay. However, you would have to explain how you obtained the sword. I believe finding anything Amber related would come from the Darath Desert, where the Rakasha are from, or even in Southern Cherod.Plus, Dragon's are extinct at this point in time, they have been since the end of the 1st Age. It would be difficult for one to obtain Dragon's Blood.

I'm also a bit hestitant as to whether or not to allow the Elven Gauntlets, seeing as how no one has anything stronger than Steel, which even then is expensive. I know that I gave Rhaedin some silver pieces, but mind you silver is not as strong as steel.

And the last thing, (I'll let you keep the gauntlets and the gold-lined lightweight boots if you can tell me how) How did Orion get the coin to purchase everything he has? It certainly would have cost him a well over a thousand gold pieces for the gauntlets, amber sword, and the gold-lined boots. One more thing about those boots, you mentioned they were Gold-Lined, but what else are they made of? Steel, iron, leather?

But fear not! I love everything else about your CS, especially the emotional history you bring with Orion. (:
Great! In that case, I'll get started on my post, it should be up later today, and if not today (there's no reason that it shouldn't be up today) then definitely tomorrow!

Primary

Name: Rhaedin Syvrelle
Age: 289EY = 28HY
Gender: Female
Race: Elf
Class: Warrior

Background: Rhaedin grew up in an educated home to educated parents. Her mother, Irimara Syvrelle studied magic, and the use of magical enchantments. Irimara's skill was renowned throughout Aerusya, although she never ventured outside the protective barrier that is the Dark Forest. She worked her way to the top, eventually earning a place within the court of King Eyres.

As a child, Rhaedin received instruction in magic from her mother, and from her father, she received lessons in weapons and politics. During her childhood, her father Azereth acted as the Diplomat for Oradea. He frequented Cherod and Angard, working to keep the Kings of both provinces happy and peaceful, which as we all know, can be a very hard, and stressful thing to do. With that being said, Azereth was not at home as often as his wife.

Then, just when Rhaedin turned 200, she had risen in the ranks in the Elven Royal Guard, when her father disappeared. He never came back from a diplomatic trip to Cherod. Weeks passed before Cherod sent a letter to King Eyres, inquiring after Azereth. He had failed to alert the guards of his departure. No one knows why it took so long for Cherod to respond to the missing diplomat. Horrified at the loss, Rhaedin turned from the world, and cloaked herself in darkness. For twenty five years, Rhaedin grieved for her father. He had been her companion, her mentor in life, and without him, she felt lost.

During this grieving cycle, Rhaedin journeyed all across Aerusya. She has seen the Lights of Lyrem in northern Angard. And she has feasted with Rakasha's in the Darath Desert under a full moon. Rhaedin even got the chance to eat dinner with the King before Oedithil, King Alexei Kallus, as they sat on a pavillion over-looking the South Bay of Cherod.

When she deemed that she had grieved enough for her father, Rhaedin returned home, where King Eyres welcomed her with open arms back into Elven society. Eyres understood that Rhaedin, being born of such noble birth, and with parents as skilled as hers, that she would make a decent Diplomat for Oradea. With that being said, he allowed her to return to the Elven Guard as Captain. and from there, she has remained amongst the Elves.

Appearance: Rhaedin stands at 6'0 with tanned skin, and a calm expression practically etched into her face. More than often, you can catch a ghost of a smile upon her face. Her eyes, the colour of fading sunlight, a pallid yellow, are empty, distant, and somewhat dreamy. She has an aquiline nose that is prominent and sharp. The most knowledgeable attribute about Rhaedin is her hair. There's just so much of it! One would think the simplest solution would be to cut the damned hair. But that isn't the case. Her hair, the colour of deep mahogany, is thick as her fist when pulled into a cord or ribbon. It's wavy and free-flowing, with an endless feel to it.

Although Rhaedin was born to a high-ranking family, she does not exert any outward expression or feelings of coming from such a birth. In fact, Rhaedin could care less who her parents were, or how much coin they have. Instead, Rhaedin is a more direct person. Her tone of voice is controlled, flat, and fair. She seeks what is fair and right, instead of seeking for victory. From her time spent with the Elven Guard and as acting Diplomat, Rhaedin has learned the arts of war. If there is anything that you could count on Rhaedin for, it would be her sense of tactics.

Equipment:
-1 One Silver Sword
-1 One Long Bow with 14 Steel Tipped Arrows
-1 One Pair of Black Leather Boots
-1 One Pair of Silver Shin Guards
-1 One Set of Silver Bracers
-1 One Set of Steel Chainmail
-1 One Silver Breastplate
-1 One Dark Green Cloak
-1 One Black Tunic
