What's happening?
The captain turned his brow to the woods and gave a long sigh as his crew acted like a bunch of children discovering something new. When Jasper asked if the captain required anything of Ragnar, Calder spoke up, "He wants to gut them fish...After all hes getting old don't want him getting hurt." The captain winked at Ragnar who had been his friend long before they had all been roped into the settling operation.
Lex lay down all the meat and he and Umbra sat next to the fire, it mattered little how others felt about his Dire wolf...She was his friend...His only true friend and he wouldn't have come unless she had been with him. When the captain spoke Lex simply smirked and lay back against Umbra like a giant fluffy pillow.
Henry thumped his feet hard on the sand as he marched to the captain pointing to the forest. "it's safe" He muttered despite having a hard time beginning the sentence. He smiles pointing to the cook with meat. "I helped" He exclaimed in a happy tone before looking around. He needed to keep working....Always working. Even with his breath heavy and frail he moved on, it was his job to work and it was all he knew. Rushing to help unload the boat, Henry felt relieved, this was one of the last time would have to do this. It was a relief to be able to have to actually settle, get a good nights sleep and stay away from barrels. Of course, farm work wasn't much better, but he felt much safer doing so rather than working on a boat or settling land.
