Sleep was invented by the communists to reduce the time we spend active.

That awkward moment when you glimpse a dog stylist advertisement and before you realize what it is, you assume it's an ad to raise awareness about animal cruelty.

A friend introduced me to a site called nanowrimo.org Technically a novel-writing site but they seem to have useful stuff for writing in general in the forums.

His kind were called the Istari; it was an organization of Maiar sent by the Valar to thwart Sauron. And that's ONLY what Men called the Istari because Men are stupid like that.

All in favor of cutting Mardox till he reads the Simillarion?

I read the Simillarion a while back. My memory just happens to be crappy with details.
I do however, need to brush up on my Tolkien lore for Mordor's sake.

...I will smack you.

He was one of the Maiar, lesser Ainur who entered Eä in the beginning of time, and serve one of the Valar in some shape or form.

That's like saying a queen bee is a 'Bee' species.

BAD. This should be common household knowledge!

I remembered that he was sent by the gods to watch over Middle Earth. I couldn't remember whether he was one of them or not. Also, I believe his kind actually were referred to as the Wizards.

All it takes is one god spending a Free Point to give a species (or ten) access to magic. Or just create a species that inherently has magic.

Is there some sort of Geneva Convention where we all agree not to let the mortals learn how to become a bunch of little Gandalfs? Has Vestec signed this pact?

You know, Gandalf sort of was part of a "wizard" species.
@Theodorable
I don't think we ever chose the provinces for Land Grab.
I'm thinking a counter-plague would be good. Just a thing in the blood where if an Ashling is trying to infect the creature, the Asking is instead cured and gains the counter-plague.

What, are the White Giants not good enough to battle against the Ashlings?

I might contribute to the general "Screw you, Ashlings!" Effort once the collab post finally gets done. I said I'd protect life and Vestec goes creating a race meant specifically for destroying life.

Might take a while, coming on to a busy period

Alright.

Do explain.
@poog the pig
Waiting for Kho's judgement on the Dark God Serandor being a part of Vakarlon's back story.
Granted. You give your wish to the genie who frees himself and goes around spreading chaos and destruction.

I wish for heightened intelligence.
