Is it possible to live a fully fulfilled life under constant surveillance?

There was life before facebook, and life continues after facebook, though admittedly somewhat degraded. My point is, technology and (voluntary or involuntary) surveillance does not really change the human condition.

Does civil surveillance suck? Yeah. Should we fight it? To the extent each individual feels comfortable, sure. Does the very asking of these questions imply that life goes on? Yup.

Some of the most fulfilled people on the planet -- sports stars, celebrities, movie directors, famous writers, etc. -- are watched at all times. They're doing just fine. Sure, it's not possible for, you know, Princess Diana to lead a fulfilling life, but that's a pretty rare outcome.

And also it's not done yet. Much more to go, but I had to skip to the actual finding of the stone because I had a really good feeling that someone was gonna surprise me. EVERYBODY surprised me. It feels good, but that might also be 30 straight days of writing exhaustion talking. Idunno. Well, this is ABSOLUTELY gonna get polished up later, but for now I think I earned some videogames.

RPGC #6: The NaNo One!

I'm at 48,896. No sign of my hard drive -- looks like the Nonsense Generator is going to create my verification. Shame! But I should finish easily. In fact the only reason I'm not gonna power through and get it done tonight is so I can make WINNER STEAKS tomorrow, like, right after I win. It has to be right after or it doesn't count.

RPGC #6: The NaNo One!

past the day's target, got a little bit of steam building into tomorrow. I might not even reach the emotional climax of the story by the time December rolls around, but I'm gonna keep going at NaNo speed until the whole thing is done. At this point, I'm just skipping over big parts of the story to get further along in the narrative -- cuz I'm pretty sure someone's gonna surprise me at the end and change where things wind up. It's already had one major departure, and another guy is looking pretty antsy, like he's got his own plans. We'll see.

Finish line is coming up, folks. Get that last push you need, get it done. Let's see some champions!
